MegaMan Battle Network: Chaos Operation

Plot Summary:

After the creation of Net society... It seemed that it was going to be an age of peace. But Netcrime reared its ugly head for the first time. The first war navi to be created was X; a prototype Megaman who, possessing the potential for unlimited power, had a great future ahead of him. X was not finished yet, let alone prepared for war, but Science Labs had no other option. They ran the risk of losing X for good, but they activated him to fight in the war caused by the netcrime outbreak. X's partner, Zero, was only just finished, and was activated as soon as the war started.
A navi with unspeakable power was reprogrammed and set to the task of eliminating all evil. Its name was Calamity. He was sealed away, fortunately. Omega, another navi with unfathomable power, was literally a huge problem, wreaking havoc on the Net. He appeared to be the main problem, but when he was defeated, Silhouette, a navi with shadow based powers, claimed to be the one that started it all. But even this was not true. She only appeared to be behind the entire war for a time, until Necromancer revealed himself to be the true perpetrator.
Calamity was the one with separate goals, and was allied with neither Silhouette nor Necromancer. Silhouette was merely a pawn.
Necromancer was a navi with the power to harness a navi’s soul. He was equipped with a weapon built into his hand called “Soul Launcher.” This was the source of his power.
A small force of netnavis rose to meet these navis and stop their plans. Led by Commander Delta, a renowned Official Netbattler operated by Uhai, they met one challenge after another.
Unfortunately, X was deleted in the final showdown with Necromancer, and Zero ran away as a result. At last, Commander Delta sacrificed himself in sealing away Necromancer inside a navi based on X, called Harpuia. The Cyber Wars drew to a close, and the world seemed to be at peace again. But then WWW came along…

At long last, the Lifevirus was defeated, and disaster was averted. But then Zero Virus Syndicate unveiled itself. The Zero Virus Syndicate was not an organization to be reckoned with. This time it was not the legendary Lan and MegaMan that came to the rescue. It was a group of civilians and Officials led by a Netopian boy named Cerveau and his navi Harpuia. In trying to stop the revived Omega, Harpuia was deleted. He came back when his operator used a bugged backup chip. Harpuia’s programming was rewritten, and partly buggy. After the Cyber Wars, Zero had run off, his reasons unknown. But he was found by a navi named Axl, and brought back to Harpuia. Infiltrating the Zero Virus HQ, the group managed to defeat Zero Virus Syndicate. But then, of course, Gospel attacked the world.

The siege of the Dark Fang was the biggest news since Gospel’s defeat. DNN made a fortune selling the story to curious civilians. Numerous netnavi deletions had been a growing concern for a few weeks. Cerveau and Harpuia decided to find out themselves what it was all about. In doing so, they discovered the assassin Lumine. A killer with the ability to use the life force of others to add to his own power. He planned to use the power of “Ultimate Aura.EXE,” a program that protected the user from any attack, then destroy the net. He would drift in the gap between the real and cyber worlds, until he finally made his appearance in the real world. There he would dominate and control the planet. Even the best of warriors would be powerless to stop him. Lumine came and went, and Harpuia fought many of his subordinates while desperately attempting to bring Lumine’s plan to a screeching halt. In doing so, they met Eclipse, who would one day take Harpuia’s place. Harpuia believed all along that Lumine could be saved from the dark power he was absorbing. After Lumine’s defeat, it was made clear that Harpuia’s lectures of friendship had not been wasted after all. Lumine admitted to have been in need of a friend, and died.

WWW came again and Wily was defeated a second time. But it turned out that Alpha did not kill Wily. Wily, still in digital form, absorbed the energy from Alpha and turned into a powerful human-Navi. This would have been the end of the net. Because he existed online, it was much easier to destroy the net. Thankfully, his plan required long delays. He brought back Omega, hoping to destroy his enemies, but both were defeated after a fierce battle.

Lumine was defeated, along with Wily. But Dark Fang was not completely eradicated. And an infamous netnavi named Checkmate, with power beyond compare, had taken Lumine's place as the Fang leader. By force, the remaining Fangs recruited members of Gospel and used them to make Dark Fang a bigger, more powerful army. Lumine's former lackeys were in command of Dark Fang, next to this Checkmate. But they had been plotting rebellion. Eclipse was led to the Dark Fang Safehouse, where Checkmate was deleted, finally realizing that he had been manipulated by Ephidel, an emotionless navi created by Lumine’s dark magic. Lurking in the shadows, he was secretly behind many acts of betrayal, and plots to seize power, including Checkmate’s revival of Calamity.

Calamity was revived after a long sleep. He began killing “impure” humans and navis. Eclipse once again set out to destroy the new evil, which had revealed itself as Necromancer. In doing so he discovered the shocking truth: His friend Harpuia was Necromancer all along. The one who had been causing every bit of trouble. Harpuia was ashamed. Necromancer was not. A few of Dark Fang’s more loyal members, still supporting its cause, found the remnants of Lumine, the most dangerous assassin in the history of the net, and resurrected him, in doing so fusing him with the remains of Checkmate. Lumine now has some of the powers of Checkmate, and is now much wiser than he once was. The revived Lumine eventually showed up and killed Harpuia, freeing Necromancer and restoring the dark lord to his former power. Harpuia aids Eclipse now as a ghostlike program, offering advice and directions. But he is not long for this world… Ephidel revived X, but gave him more power and overriding his memory. The old X was gone, in its place a killing machine that took orders from Ephidel alone. Eventually, in the havoc surrounding Calmaity's reign, X vanished once again. Zero was killed at the hands of Calamity himself. Axl has been reported "missing in action." Calamity was returned to his sane self by long hours of torture.

A legend dies...
A world is threatened...
An assassin lives once more…
An unspeakable evil emerges again...

Eclipse and his companions set out to put a stop to this reincarnation of Lumine. Their journey pits them against countless dangers, lethal traps and merciless enemies. But death will soon become the least of their worries... An old enemy looms before them, threatening to harness the soul of Harpuia. Can they save Harpuia, or is his soul truly gone forever? On top of this, a mysterious area of the Net comes back into play, for the first time since the Cyber Wars. A huge uncharted area with unthinkable power contained within it. It is said that it was Necromancer's hideaway in the Cyber Wars, and that Necromancer is using it still. Science Labs have sealed away the entrance to this area as a safety precaution. This area is known only as Shadownet. A huge energy reading emanates from the gates, as if a million souls are trying desperately to get out. This only enforces the theory that Necromancer's hideaway if concealed here. The return of Lumine and Necromancer marks the countdown to a cataclysmic disaster…

Basic Rules:

1. No spamming, g-modding, chatting or flaming!
2. It is requested, though not required, that you use correct grammar. I respect your style of Rping, so I won’t make you.
3. Please make your navi's attacks and abilities fair. For example, no "one hit kill" attacks, or "can destroy anyone's PET" please.
4. There was formerly a rule that said only Waluigi the Underdog and I will be able to create moderate plot twists. Well, you can consider that rule null-and-void. The only restriction: No tournaments, please.
5. No spamming, g-modding, chatting or flaming! (I know this is a restatement of the first rule, but I’m trying to enforce it. )
6. When creating your character, no dark elements, please. If your navi has dark based powers, just put “None” for your attribute. Your attribute shows how your navi will react to attacks of different elements, not how good or evil your navi is.
7. Please don’t use any “Shadow” or “X” Characters. There are too may these days.
8. Mercenaries are fine, but if you want to be one, please either work with TenguMan, Vulcan, Lumine, Necromancer, or Dark Fang. No “wandering mercenaries.” That is a fine example of cliché. Not-a very fun.
9. No claiming to be the most powerful netbattler in the world. This generally stirs up competition, provokes anger, and results in flaming.
10. Above all, HAVE FUN!!

NetNavi Rules and Limits: First of all, your character MUST be original. As in not from the Battle Network Series. Taking characters from other MegaMan series is allowed, for example using Ballade from the original series. But it might be more fun to create your own character. You may create any number of main characters to control, so long as you can keep track of them all. X and Zero are presumed dead, by the way, and Axl is reported “Missing in Action.” So they are unavailable.

The Sides: There are many sides you can choose from.

Official Netbattlers – Made up of only the most powerful of netbattlers, this organization is stationed worldwide. The Officials have special privileges that normal civilians don’t.
Science Labs – A group of scientists dedicated to making scientific breakthroughs in the scientific field of science.
Dark Fang – A group of assassins currently led by Janus.
Legions of the Dead – Necromancer’s crudely made army. It is said that when a navi dies at Necromancer’s hand its soul joins this army. Living navis can join however, and will in fact be given positions of power.
TenguMan’s Mercenaries – Led by Tenguman, a mercenary new to the trade but is very good at what he does.
Vulcan’s Mercenaries – Led by the demolition expert Vulcan. Unlike TenguMan, Vulcan has been a mercenary for quite some time, but their skills are matched.
Team Eclipse – The small band of navis led by Eclipse. They have been given the privileges of Officials to look for the many hiding villains.
Team Lumine – Led by Lumine, the former head of the Dark Fang. He plans to re-recruit the Fang… By force, if necessary.

Navi Info:
To join, please fill this stuff out.
Operator Name: (Optional.)
Navi Name:
Navi's Element: (Normal, Fire, Aqua, Wood, Electric)
Ability: (Just one. No G-Modding, remember!)
Weapons and Equipment:
Alliance: (Do not put “None.” Choose from the list.)
Short Bio: (Just a simple description of their past and personality. Long or short, it really doesn't matter. ;))

Main Characters:

Operator Name: Cerveau
Navi Name: Chasseur.EXE
Navi's Element: Electric
Ability: Chasseur is extremely fast on his feet, and attacks with deadly precision. Though he was created after Harpuia as a replacement, he cannot fly. To make up for this inconvenience, however, his sword automatically paralyzes when it hits an ememy, lining them up for another strike.
Weapons and Equipment: Volt Sword – An arm-mounted beam sword similar to Colonel's. It possesses strong electric power, and paralyzes when it hits. Chasseur has the option of sending 2000 volts through it. Shocking, isn't it?
Metal Conductor - Metal objects surround the enemy. When hit with any electric attack, the objects conduct the attack and send it into the surrounded enemy.
Watt Cannon - A medium-sized electric gun replaces Chasseur's arm. This gun can fire paralyzing electric rays.
Alliance: Official Netbattlers
Short Bio: Cerveau is the Official who defeated Lumine. Harupia was his navi, before the Necromancer incident. When Harpuia met Lumine recently, he was killed and Necromancer was released. But before Harpuia’s horrific demise, their misadventures led them to establish strong friendships with people like Eclipse and Calamity. Through their deeds they gained the position of an Official Netbattler. Cerevau still holds his title, but Harpuia, being only a spirit now, wanders the Net. Cerveau now helps Team Eclipse wherever possible. He has a new navi for the time being: Chasseur.EXE. Chasseur’s name means “Hunter.” He lives up to this name well. He was a backup navi for Cerveau, created just recently. Chasseur, much like his operator, is coolheaded and does not anger easily. However, he is slightly more business-minded. He and Cerveau are counted as Officials.

Operator Name: None
Navi Name: Necromancer.EXE
Navi's Element: None
Ability: Necromancer has the unique ability to harness both a navi’s life force and soul.
Weapons and Equipment: Soul Launcher – Gems on the backs of his hands that grant him his terrible power.
Screams of the Dead – Necromancer summons the corpse of a deceased navi. Its weapons and attacks vary, and its element is of Necromancer’s choosing.
Alliance: Legions of the Dead
Short Bio: Necromancer was the true perpetrator of the Cyber Wars. After killing X, Delta sacrificed himself to seal Necromancer away inside Harpuia, who was the only thing strong enough to hold him, as Necromancer was indestructible at the time. He has recently broken the seal, and started a war between Science Labs and the Official Netbattlers. Necromancer desires the conquest of human and navi. To see them locked in a savage war. He keeps a vast collection of the souls of navis he had killed inside his Soul Launcher. It grants him complete control over the souls’ actions, but every time he unleashes his attack, they all cry out in pain, begging to be free once more.

Operator Name: Unknown
Navi Name: Charge.EXE
Navi's Element: Charge: Elec
Abilities: Charge has the power to parry or redirect almost any electric attack.
Weapons and Equipment: Power Generator – A box on his back resembling a backpack with cords extending from it. He can attach these cords to nearby electric power sources and recharge very quickly. Plus he can store 60,000 volts at a time, making him a very powerful foe.
Outlet Arm – Charge transforms both arms into electric plugs, and slams them into the ground. The ground, and anything touching it, including walls, ceilings, pillars, and navis, are electrocuted.
Alliance: Dark Fang
Short Bio: Charge is self-centered braggart boasting amazing electric power. His electricity can be converted into light by his partner’s unusual prism-like ability. Charge and Prism have worked together as Mercenaries for years, and were eventually picked by Checkmate to be two of the Top Ten of Dark Fang. He loves to brag about his power whenever the chance arises. With a blind arrogance and snobby personality to boot, he is a perfect example of power fallen into the wrong hands.

Operator Name: None
Navi Name: Prism.EXE
Navi's Element: None
Ability: Prism has no special attacks, but Charge uses him as a shield and channel for his electric attacks. Though he’d not a bad hand-to-hand fighter.
Weapons and Equipment: Prism Body – Prism becomes a wall of prism-like material.
Prism Punch – Prism punches, dislodging his fist as he does so. It flies in a straight line, and any laser weapons that hit it will add to its attack power.
Alliance: Dark Fang
Short Bio: Prism is a wall. A wall for Charge. Charge likes to call them “partners” rather than “friends.” They have been mercenaries working together for years, and were invited to join Dark Fang and make a name for themselves. Charge didn’t want to die a nameless soldier, so naturally he jumped right in. Prism followed. Prism is a navi who rarely speaks. Though they have extreme differences, they make a formidable pair.

Operator Name: None
Navi Name: Eclipse
Navi's Element: Normal
Ability: Eclipse can manipulate gravity to a certain degree.
Weapons and Equipment: Twin Beam Sabers – These swords act as a channel for Eclipse’s power, and can also shoot lasers.
Alliance: Team Eclipse
Short Bio: Eclipse is a navi created in the hopes of space exploration. But something went wrong in his programming. Something caused him to become unstable. He was sealed away using the most advanced protection programs available, but he might has well have been sealed behind a thin layer of balsa wood. He broke out of his prison, and joined up with Dark Fang. Harpuia recruited him though, and he switched allegiances. Recently, he made a promise to Harpuia that he intends to keep, even if it means sacrificing his own life. The promise: He will fight in Harpuia’s place, and bring peace to the Net.

Operator Name: None
Navi Name: Lumine
Navi's Element: Normal
Ability: Possesses the skill to kill a foe in a single strike. (Not anyone who joins. Unnamed characters who you might consider “CPUs.”)
Weapons and Equipment: Dusk Daggers – His primary weapons. They give him the extra power needed to kill an enemy in one blow. They can also be used to DIRECT energy attacks.
Sword of Deceit – A katana that glows with dark energy. It can be used to REFLECT energy attacks.
Alliance: Team Lumine
Short Bio: The assassin who caused mass deletions months ago. He was revived by Ephidel, and infused with the remains of Checkmate. Lumine was given some of Checkmate’s lesser abilities. Being deleted once has taught him a lesson, and he no longer laughs maniacally, believes himself to be invincible, or does anything a typical power-crazed villain usually does.

Other Characters (Not worthy of their own profiles):

Corma and DiveMan
Glen and Enker
Craft
iX

Navi's Element: Normal
Ability: Decent speed and the ability to fly
Weapons and Equipment: Spirit Blade (Two-handed sword with strange symbols on it)
Alliance: Team Eclipse
Short Bio: A strong Navi that works to protect the Net. He may be quiet a lot, but when he starts talking, he never shuts up. He is kind and caring and enjoys a good fight every now and then, even if it is a sparring match with one of his friends.

((Welcome, the pair of you. ^_^ I suppose we should begin.))

Netopia Official Center

Cerveau drummed his fingers on the tabletop. A meeting had been called by Baryl, the Head of Netopia's Officials. For once, he was early. Probably thanks to Chasseur, his new navi. Chasseur was more strict and more business-minded than Harpuia. Harpuia used to give him five extra minutes to sleep in. Not Chasseur. He had a one-track mind, and that was duty.
And yet Cerveau still retained his old personality. He approached each mission with a cool demeanor bordering a jocular attitude. He was kind, but slightly cynical, much like one of his close friends, Eclipse. They seemed to think alike at times. Other times... Not so much. "Great minds think alike," as Cerveau once said.
Presently, Cerveau took his green PET from the pocket of his equally green vest and put it on the table to the left of his restless hand.
"Chasseur, I'm bored now," he said. "Why must you wake me up so dang early?"
"Because, sir..." his navi replied. "It is better to be early than late. 'Better safe than sorry,' in the wise words of someone we know."
Cerveau realized that Chasseur was referring to him, using his own morals against him. He ignored it and instead adressed another matter. "Chasseur, we've talked about this. You calling me 'sir.' You don't need to. In fact I'd much prefer it if you didn't."
"Sorry, Cerveau," said Chasseur, emphasizing his operator's name.
Cerveau sighed, then took out a Game Boy and began playing.
Baryl walked into the room, and saw him.
"Put that away, Cerveau."
Cerveau quickly complied. "Sorry, sir."
"... You're early. I'm surprised. Usually you're five minutes late."
"My new navi made me get up this morning."
"I see. Let's wait for the others to show up. The meeting will begin in ten minutes."

Team Eclipse HQ

Eclipse paced the floor of his HQ, waiting for the rest of his team to arrive. Where was that new recruit?
So far only himself, Enker, iX, and Craft were at the HQ. They awaited the arrival of the new recruit, Stormsworder.

"Sorry I'm late," a quiet voice said as a Navi approached. He wore a simple brown cloak that hid his body, but his face could be seen. His black and red helmet covered most of his face except for his blue eyes.

Nathan walks up to the door leading to the meeting of Official Netbattlers. "Are you sure this is the right door, Dragoman?" Nathan asked, looking at his PET.

"That's just like you Nathan checking to make sure your right the first time," said a green armored Navi with red streaks on his arms and back. "I've checked the map. its the right room! Besides, look at the sign above the door."

Nathan looks at the sign above the door that read 'Meeting Room'. "Yeah, but what if someone switched the signs as a cruel prank?"

"JUST GO IN THERE!" Dragoman yelled in impatience.

Nathan fumbled with his PET in shock, but managed to hang on to it. He then entered the room and said, "Umm, sorry I'm late."

Weapons and Equipment: Staff, Dark Tomes
Alliance: Dark Fang
Short Bio: A navi created by the same man who created Checkmate. He appeared during the last days of Checkmate's rule and was always kept under watch. He had uncanny powers, possibly greater than Checkmate's own. He is cold, emotionless, and has goals that nobody but himself know the aim of.

Navi Name: Tenguman.EXE
Operator Name: Tsurugi

Short Bio: A freelance navi who is relatively new at being a mercenary, but is remarkably good at it. His operator, Tsurugi is well-trained in a few fighting styles and his operating ability is integral to Tenguman's success. Tenguman himself is a warrior at heart who relishes every battle and always loves a good opponent. However, he hates weaklings who profess to be stronger than they really are. He has a deep-rooted sense of honor, which seems to be his only real weakness.

Navi Name: Genex.EXE
Operator Name: N/A
Element: None
Ability: Can absorb Navis with his DNA tendrils, assimilating them. He is also composed of multiple Navi samples, and thus can access many powers.
Weapons and Equipment: DNA Tendrils: Two oversized strands of DNA protruding from his back. He can manipulate them with incredible skill, using them to grab things, separating them from his body like missiles, etc.
Alliance: Dark Fang
Short Bio: He was once Black Knight, but he was punished for failing to kill Calamity. His body seems to be covered with a black, metallic leather, and on the front, he has a DNA symbol. His face is a silver, generic head with no features. The most unusual thing about him is the two huge strands of DNA protruding from his back that he uses as tentacles as well as weapons. He is calculating and incredibly vicious, and when the small piece of Black Knight's mind is not asserting control, he can be spontaneous as well. He is composed from multiple Navis' coding, making him a challenging opponent, and his DNA tendrils make things even more difficult.

Baryl shook his head.
"You're not late. We still have seven minutes before the meeting starts."
Cerveau turned his Game Boy on under the table.
"Turn it off," said Baryl.
Cerveau jumped, almost dropping it, turned it off, and put it in his pocket once more.
How does he do it? he thought.

"Oh, thats fine," Nathan says as he sits down in a chair.

"And you were worried you'd be late," Dragoman said to Nathan.

"Shut up Dragoman," Nathan says while putting his PET face down on the table.

"YOU KNOW I DON'T LIKE THE DARK!...Somebody hold me..."
