"The Hunters? Seriously? They're the strongest species in there." Nav responded.

"Well then, come with us. We'll take you to our leader. But be warned, you will be guarded by armed men while you talk to him." the marine said to Kyo as he walked back toward New Echota.

The group came inside New Echota. The marines led them into the War Council Chamber. The room would usually be used for meetings of the War Council, a council of people that would plan on what to do next. The rest of the Council was probably scattered all over Cherokee III, so it will be used for this purpose. "Wait here for the Sergeant Major." a marine instructed.

Nidim stopped with the group and waited silently.

Only Kyo and two other Elites follow the Marines. The others go back to the captured outpost by Kyo's order. He would try to gather them back up if possible. He knew not what he would be doing, or how long he'd be gone.

Sergeant Major Ios enters the room, escorted by two marines. He sits at one end of the table, and says, "So, I understand you want to ally with the UNSC?"

'Fulsamee, being the highest ranked elite in the room, responds for the group. "Yes, sir. With Halo, our Prophets almost let our people to their own demise, we musn't let them activate the rings. And the brutes...The Prophets were fools to trust them."

Kyo keeps silent unless specifically asked a question, having a superior in the room. He would do the talking as per tradition.

"What happened between you and the Brutes? Why did you split from the Covenant?" Ios asked again.

'Fulsamee thinks for a long time before speaking. When he finally replies, his voice is strangely distant, and he uses the proper names for the races, rather than the human names. "The Jiralhanae (brutes) have always tried to remove the Sangheili (elites) from our high position of power. Although they were the newest race to the covenant & still primitive savages, the Prophets admired their strengh and immediately took a liking to them, but we still held our rank as the second in command in the covenant. But several months ago, the Prophet of Truth forced the Sangheili Honor Guards to resign, only to be replaced by Jiralhanae. The next day, many of the Sangheili councilers, our repersentative on the high council, were taken down to one of the sacred rings. There, they were massacred by the Jiralhanae. My father was among those killed. While this is happening, Tartarus, the traitor, declares war on the Sangheili...during the ensuing combat, much of the covenant fleet was obliterated, and the parasite was able to land in the holy city of High Charity. The Demon--forgive me, Master Chief-- also boarded somehow. What happened after that...I do not know. What I do now is that the Flood have control of High Charity, and the Sangheili have been expelled from the covenant, all thanks to the Jiralhanae. Now do you understand our hatred of them?"

"I can understand why you hate them so much," Ios replied. "Would you think the rest of the Rebellion would join the UNSC?"

"I belive it would be possible, but I cannot speak for everyone," 'Fulsamee says, looking around.
