"I belive it would be possible, but I cannot speak for everyone," 'Fulsamee says, looking around.

Nidim looked at him and said, "I do not know what exactly is going on with the covenant currently as I was exiled for my views on war... I may no longer look it, but I was previously a general."

Ios waited for a moment, and said, "Perhaps we should start recruiting Rebellion soldiers to the UNSC. Then we might have a fighting chance against the Covenant."

Nav went to the sniper towers. Once he was in one, he put his field binoculars to his eyes, as looking around with a sniper rifle might give the new arrivals a sense of hostility. He looked down past the hills and fields surrounding New Echota, past the site where they were picked up by 'Fulsamee, and past the river and the bridge, and stared at the city. The Covenant controlling Métropole were hard at work making the city an impregnable fortress. They constructed bunkers on the roads entering and exiting the city. Most buildings had been modified to have garages for vehicles, armories, and landing pads for Bandits ((Halo 1 drop ships)) and Phantoms.

'Fulsamee nods. "As do I. I'm sure that our nations can work together to improve each other's technology, as well. I've been wanting to see what makes those shotgun things so deveastating..."

"Speaking of which, we have actually been studying and imitating your technology. That is how we equipped the Spartans with energy shields." Ios commented. "You should get in touch with any leaders you know that are in-system, as well as any Rebel soldiers under your command."

Nav saw a squadron of four Hornets ((UNSC fighter-bombers, just so you know, MM)) fly toward Métropole. Each was carrying four bombs. As they approached, they swooped in and each dropped all their bombs. Two managed to land in a vehicle garage, exploding all the vehicles within as well as making the building collapse partially. One landed on a column of infantry, killing or mortally wounding the Covenant there. Others landed on buildings or just exploded in the middle of the road. The Hornets took a hard right, their silhouettes black against the orange sunset. They came to New Echota and descended to the runways.

"As an exile, I do not have any soldiers under my direct command, but I will contact officers that I trust," Nidim said. "I will also help with setting up a base perimiter if you wish..."

"No need. We're going to drive the Covenant out of Métropole when we gather enough forces." Ios said.

"Alright, lets get right on the job then." Ios said, standing up. He saluted the Elites and left the room, his bodyguards following him through the door.

'Fulsamee whispered something to Yayap, who nodded then scurried off towards the phantom. 'Fulsamee then headed off towards the comm station. Once inside, he asked to speak to the person in charge (don't know technical term).

The Comm Master looked over his shoulder and turned around. "That's me. What is it?"

"In a few moments, there will be 5 Phantoms appearing on your radar, coming from the south. Do not fire, those are the rest of my squad. The Phantoms should have the same basic color scheme as my own. They'll be carrying a couple of wraiths and several ghosts, and an escort of 3 banshees." 'Fulsamee watches the radar screen.

Eight blips show up on the radar screen. "That must be them." the Comm Master said "Inform everyone not to fire."

Watching through commandeered binoculars, a Brute sat on the slope of a neighboring mountain. He watched the Rebel controlled vehicles approach New Echota. The furry alien turned on his field radio and said, "There are several vehicles approaching Human Fortress 23. The Humans haven't fired." After a hiss of static, another gruff voice replied. "Perhaps they've signed a treaty. Keep observing HF 23. We might have a situation."
