Background: Alterus and Kantar have been at war almost since the dawn of time and no one on Alterus knows more about the pain of war more than ‘Shadow King’, Mirak Licnev. Once the top covert operative of the League’s Military, he had the perfect life, ‘til one day it was ripped away. He lost everything on one fateful day, his fiancé, mother, older brother and sister, along with the complete annihilation of his entire village, the only thing left to him was his twin brother Limak, whom he blames for everything that happened that day. Now he is known as the Shadow King, the most ruthless and brutal being on Alterus. He leads an army almost entirely made up of sentient beings he has killed and resurrected for this purpose. The leader of the Darkface, Hammer, is slowly moving on Alterus, starting on the outer rim of the galaxy, crushing every planet along the way. The Shadow King and his masses have been burdened with the task of stopping Hammer, by any means necessary. Basically all characters that are initially introduce will be members of Mirak's Army granting them a special ability, one which will be known later. The class determination has been changed, your race and abilities are the class system... So choose wisely. Race – Descriptions Creatons – All sizes. All beliefs. Two Abilities. Creatons eat once every twelve days. During that day they tend to stay in one place and usually sleep. Armor: (See Sub-Races) Combat: (See Sub-races) Sages – Huge (males), and Medium (females). Polytheistic. Sages are High and mighty. Often arrogant and snobby, they study magic and weapon mastery throughout most of their lives. Armor: Heavy and colorful, Magic masters, Combat masters. Combat style: Defensive, yet aggressive warriors, typically more concerned with removing limbs than defeating their opponent. Brutes prefer heavy blades and cannons rarely older weapons. Elementals use magic above all else. Shadows – Medium sized. Monotheistic. Shadows are a dying breed fond of darkness and beauty. They are natural warriors and archivists. Most living shadows take refuge on Alterus. Full bloods are a rare sight. Armor: Being refugees, they are usually poor. Their armor is light; dull, and tattered, weapons are often ancient and rusted. Combat: use fist and foot or shadow power (1 of four). Some variances based on Sub-Race. Kantarians – Large. No beliefs. No abilities. Ugly and carnivorous fierce and fearless, smell horribly and have ongoing conflict with Creatons. Bred for war. Armor: Heavy plated armor and thick natural armor. Combat: when not using teeth and claws, they have a mastery of most Creaton weapons. Hali – Small or medium. Mono/polytheistic. Two – Four abilities. Most Hali are enslaved on Kantar. Their world was overtaken nearly two millennia ago and they have served Kantarian masters since then. Hali are spell-casters, but not fighters. They are rarely seen in battle and rarely use weapons. Armor: Rarely. Normally, they wear humble clothes in dark colors or fade robes. Those that wear armor wear light battle armor made by Creatons or Shadows. Combat: Most Hali run and hide. Those that fight use any weapon they’ve trained with and normally fight defensively. Humans – Small, medium, or large. Many beliefs. Two abilities. Full blood humans are another rare find on Alterus. This is mainly because immortal humans are not very common. They hold the record for the second greatest number of Sub-Races. Ivory warriors, Shadow Blade victims, half-breeds, natural immortals and mortals are the human Sub-Races. Armor/ Combat style: Depends on Sub-Race. Lower Darkface – Medium or large. Self-belief. Darkface are bound from entering Alterus through a portal. Any Darkface here would be alone or in a small group and would have arrived on a small ship far away from Pract. Darkface are the purest evil there is. They do what the like when they like how they like and almost no one can stop them. Armor: Darkface wear armor only for decoration and even the heaviest armor doesn’t slow them down. They. The limits of this power while on Alterus are unknown. Combat: Lower Darkface use maces and long swords. Guns are beneath them and bows are useless. They rush in to battle headfirst and hardly consider the possibility of defeat. Ro-Tan – Medium or Large. Gaia. One element. Ro-Tan is a planet of scientist; to protect themselves they created elemental warriors. After the alliance was made many of the elementals were sent to Alterus as a gift to the people, they are highly educated in their element, making them extremely aware of their surroundings. To ensure that they are difficult to harm, their skin acts as moderate barrier. Armor: Ro-Tan Elementals create their own armor derived from their element, so their abilities are affected positively instead of negatively. Combat: The elementals fight according to how their element acts in nature. Douroux – All sizes. Rouxas. Three forms. Douroux are beast-shifters from the planet Rouxas. Very reclusive and rarely ask for help from non-Douroux. Separated into Blue-Bloods, Red-Bloods, Black-Bloods, and White-Bloods, each blood controlling a certain element (Water, Fire, Darkness, and Light respectively), the limits on the abilities of a pack is unknown. Any given Douroux may have multiple form to switch between. (message me with your choices and I’ll approve them or not.) Armor: None Combat: Varies depending on form Elemental – Medium or Large. Soren. Three elements. Elementals, the oldest race in the galaxy and the bases for the elemental warriors of Ro-Tan. Unlike those of Ro-Tan, these elemental warriors control multiple elements at a time and in various ways. These being are not to be reckoned with by an average fighter or even an exceptional one, only experts should attempt to enter combat with an Elemental. Armor: Self-made Combat: Close-range and Distance Huracko – Huracko may be from any other Sub-Race city, but they are different from their countrymen in one way. They are Huracko: Creatons with the ability to transform into flying beasts with amplified powers. Each Huracko has twelve or more special abilities and is the ultimate definition of a super-soldier with not limits except that they are unpredictable and must first learn to control the beast within them before they can move on to learn and master their abilities. They are Weapon masters and the only Sub-Race with no offhand penalty. Huracko get the best bonuses. They are crafted for war above all else. Combat: Choose another Sub-Race (Ask GM) Armor: (In Normal form) Choose another Sub-Race, (In Huracko form) None-Heavy Shadows (All Sizes) Normal Shadows – These Shadows lived in the center of the Shadow Realm, where Hammer’s main base is now. Most of them were annihilated when Hammer raided the Shadow Realm and killed King Eagle I. Three of his daughters survived, but one daughter and his only son were killed. There were 600,000 Subjects in the kingdom. A third of them managed to survive. Some opted to help the surviving Princesses escape and have scattered throughout the galaxy. Others decided serving Hammer was a better cause. Combat: They use the shadows around them as weapons. (See also: Sub-Classes) Armor: Normally black. Some wear other colors. Necronic Shadows – These Shadows lived in the darkest parts of the Southern Shadowlands. Most remained there and joined with Hammer, but a few refused to be pawns and were either killed or forced out of their homes. These are the most powerful of the Necrons. Combat: They use the darkness in their own hearts to fuel their powers. Armor: All black. Light to Heavy. Other colors weaken their powers (white most of all) Light-Carriers – These Shadows lived in the northernmost regions of the Shadow Realm. This is where all the light goes. They are honorable and just and true. There were 300,000 in the colony before Hammer arrived. Ten survived. They were the only Shadows who stood a chance against him. He blitzed them and annihilated them before they could assemble. Combat: They use the light in their hearts as their source of power. Armor: White or bright colors. Dark colors and Black have no effect on their powers, but they separate themselves from others this way. Shadow Classes (All Sub-Races with Shadow Blood) Shifters – Use their powers and the objects around them to turn external object into weapons or turn a body part into a bludgeoning energy. Shifters are the most useful shadows in battle. More powerful Shifters can use buildings or vehicles instead of simple small objects. Defenders – Use their powers to form shields or barriers to protect themselves and others. Most Defenders are female. More powerful Defenders can shield entire cities. Portal-Makers – Use their powers to transport themselves and others from one realm to another. More powerful Portal-Makers can go as far as from Earth to Alterus in a single trip. Shadow Masters – Use their powers as energy projectiles. They are the only class capable of the Shadow Blast. More powerful Masters can blast farther…much farther. Name: Jayne Age: 1800 Race: Hali Abilities: Combustion, Flight, Invisibility, and Telekinesis Description: ![]() "The king may enter," She says, speaking for Mirak. "Right away Lady Jayne," the messenger removes himself and immediately following his exit is the entrance of Milodain. " Hello, Master Mirak, how do you do this day?" King Milodain inquired "..." "Right then, straight to business with you as usual. Well the League has requested your assistance with a matter of life and death concerning this galaxy and all it's inhabitants. It has been brought to our attention that Hammer and his forces have been taking control of planets on the outer rim and we have reason to believe that he intend to enslave as many as possible and attack Alterus with an army so large we could not hope to defeat it." " And what would The League have us do?" Jayne asked. " Well, my dear The League would ask The Shadow King and his masses to meet Hammer and his Starlit Knights on the battle field and thwart his plans. So Lord Mirak, what say you to this." "Tell him we will accept this task, but only if The League grants me one request" Mirak sends to Jayne through his thoughts. Jayne repeats Mirak's words and king Milodain replys. "What request is that sir?" "You will know my request once our task is done," Jayne tells the king, "Now leave us." |

"Yes, Of course, and thank you shadow king." King Milodain exits. "Shall we go choose the troops that will be accompanying us on this mission sir." Jayne asks. Mirak nods his head. "Very well then." Mirak, Jayne, Nikki, and Grawain all walk out of the throne room, through the main hall and out to the courtyard. "Assemble the troops immediately Grawain." Mirak said "Right away Master Mirak." Grawain darts off through the courtyard and within moments of her departure Mirak's army begins to form. "Shadow Assassins. We have been given a task to fulfill by The League," Nikki starts. "It seems that the Darkface and their leader Hammer are taking control of planets on the outer rim The League would have us stop them. Any willing to step up will be given an additional ability by the Shadow King himself. Do we have any volunteers..." |
