No, so this round. MUCH UNLIKE THE WORLD CUP FAILURE, I wanted to do something like a Domestic League. It could be a worldwide Soccer League, where all interested nations submit their best or one of their best teams and that will be the team to be placed in the league. Their will be one league. So don't ask about Relegations / Promotions. I could take like Chelsea, Milan, Galaxy, Barcelona, Ajax, Bayern Munich, PSG, Transport United and so on. And do it that way. Here's the catch. Those interested have to be able to RP the thing too. I won't do it all so you guys can sit and go "oooh ahhh". No. If you are interested you will have somethings to do for your team. Like maintain a roster, deal with injuries and random events, transfer (trade) for other players, maintain some wages. It won't be anything to excruciating or detailed, it won't monopolize time, it won't take away from 21c. It will just be a few games here and there, maybe 1 or 2 a week. You would submit me a strategy (maybe) and a roster for the games and voila. Done. Not difficult just something else to do here on 21c for shits and giggles. I could do this with Baseball, Soccer, Football, Basketball, Hockey, w/e we wish so long as I get some support and activity. Once again it won't take much, just some care. Much like Recon with the WC. He gave me a roster and tactic and he would have won the damned thing since no one else cared. |

I personally think that the 2012 Olmpics in London have a ton of RP value in them, not only in sports. i think every event in the Olympics should be assigned a winner so countries that a small can be like hoooyaah if they win something, providing someone with some RP things like the Goergian and Zimbabwean in the 2008 ones. This is not a priority though and if you disagree with me, okay, dont fight about it. Also, things like what happened in Munich are always possible in todays day and age, and I think someone could do a very very good wuality RP if given the chance of a formal 21c Olympic games |

Before you put Jokinen through the glass Iginla rifled a slapshot through Biron's leg and into the twine. And Dion Phaneuf proceeded to knock out Gagne's teeth. |

Biron won't be back next year. At least not as a starter. Hard to score on him, eh? As for that twit:![]() Iginla had 35 goals in 82 games. The moron with that punishing hipcheck up there had 11 in 80. Gags had 34 in 79 games. Richards had 30 in 79. Carter had 46 in 82. Giroux (even you dirty Canucks have to hail #8 for all his worth and win) had 9 in 42 as a rookie. I can go on. That's not counting playoff goals, either. Iginla's very good. I'll give you that. But he's no Gags or Richie. Fantasize more about your impending, crushing defeat. |

I'll give it to ya the Flyers are better than Calgary at the moment. But I beg to differ. I do believe Iginla is better than Gagne or Richards. Kiprusoff is damn near a god, and Phaneuf is the best damn defenseman in all the NHL. Otherwise we are soft, and that's why we cower in mediocrity. (oh and Rod Brind'Amour is my favorite player ever) But I will admit to my defeat right now. Flyers > Flames in 09 |

Gags and Richie have their niches, just like Iginla. Richards is a monster on the power play kill, and Gags is just flat out ridiculous if you can't keep your best defenseman on him. And Giroux is turning into a Forsberg-lite: some of his passes during the Playoffs were nothing short of amazing. And his fight. Lawl. Phaneuf, whatever you may say or think about him, is not a Timonen. Fact. |

Eh, I honestly think it should be something organized internationally with World Championships, FIFA, Olympics. Thats the only way where you can include the most people in an event. Plus, there are just too many doemestic leagues. NHL, NBA, MLB, KHL, Euroleagues. Doemestic sports I think should just be organized by the players themselves (Canada and US can sort it out the big four). And well btw... Vancouver and Boston in the finals... although I'm someone relunctant to say Vancouver. And dare I say it, Go Leafs Go. Let the flaming begin (pun not intended :P) |

The best teams in Europe (+Kazkahstan and Israel) play one another. I took the best from good nations. It isn't random. And it would be more fun. And do you plan to maintain the league and sim the scores, and maintain transefers, etc etc? |

In all the years I've been role playing I've yet to see anyone do what you are suggesting. Who will play these selected few "best" teams? Random people, so I as Greece could be Manchester United? Makes oh so much sense. How would it be fun when the majority of people miss out? So basically what you are proposing is an elitist type thing where you chose what you think is the best. Seriously, if it doesn't offer everyone a chance, why bother? Or is that the problem, you don't want the burden of being responsible for a proper 'league'? Who said I'm getting upset? Stick to the subject. |

Sundin's a total joke. The fact that the Canucks could afford him says their team's awful or hideously underpaid. Luongo's a god damn hero, though. Lots of Philly fans want him. Of course, lots of Philly fans are stupid enough to think we could somehow trade for Brodeur, too. |

Damn, I have no idea why my Greek friend here is sticking words in my mouth. I SAID THE BEST TEAMS FROM EACH NATION MEANS EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO CAN PARTICIPATE EVERYONE ONLY ONE TEAM FROM EACH NATION SKYLAR WOULD HAVE TO BE CHELSEA OR MAN U ETC IMPERIAL WOULD HAVE TO BE BARCA, REAL ETC YOU WOULD HAVE TO BE OLYMPIAKOS FICE WOULD HAVE TO BE TRANSPORT UNITED OR YEEDZIN FC The best from everywhere. Considering we have like 40 members and roughyl half would participate I'm thinkin between 18-22 tops. That would be a respectable amount for one league. What I am proposing is nothing short of a world wide UEFA Champions League. I don't understand what the hell you are takling about but your obvioulsy not comprehending what I have said. Why the hell would I want this to be elitist? I'm freakin Turkmenistan! And I don't want to be responsible? Err if I wasn't willing to be than I wouldn't have propsed this now would I? Didn't think so. The fact you're interested is great. Just understand it. It is for everyone, the best teams from every nation. Transfers, Wages, Games, Championships, the whole sha-bang. I just wish more people would show some interest in the matter. |

Sundin was great for the Leafs, in fact he was probably one of the greatest player to play for the organization, but if the Leafs were ever going to grow, Sundin needed to go. Quite frankly I'm happy he's in Vancouver, better then New York anyways... But yes, Luongo is doing wonders for the Canucks... |
