It's a far more complex country than people first assume. Kim Jong Il isn't some mad dictator; he's actually perfectly rational, and he knows that detonating nukes and launching missiles have given him what he wanted in the past (both the Clinton and Bush administrations bought the DPRK off when it launched missiles or tested its first nuke). This is partly about internal politics, and partly about testing the Obama Administration.

So yeah, it's actually deeper than you might first believe.

I could believe that. Throw in the fact that there are some details which we don't know, and mostly your stuck with internal RPing.

Your statement would prompt me to suggest that perhaps we should be more considerate of who we pick to be North Korea perhaps? Much like we would with the UK or China or Russia...? Proven track record kinda people.

I agree 100%. North Korea has a lot of potential to cause trouble for most of the world (including three major powers: the US, Russia and China as well as regional powers such as South Korea, Japan and Australia). If it's played well it could really stir things up.
