I have a friend who wants to setup wireless internet in his house. Bought a second computer, and it's impractical to wire the two up.
So I suggested buying an adsl/2/2+ modem router with wireless, such as the Netcomm NB9WMAXX which has four wired ports and wireless, and then throw in a wireless addon card to the second computer.

Is this all that is required?
I've never actually messed around with wireless, so I'm pretty much just going by a guesstimation as to what will be needed.

I'm pretty sure that is all that is required. But I just want to be 100% certain before I tell him to got spend 250 dollars.

Yeah, all you need is a Wireless Adapter card for the Computer.

If he wants both of them to connect wirelessly, they'll both need one.

It will find the Router once the adapter is sat up (drivers installed, if necessary that is).

The rest will be told fairly easily in the instructions for setting up the Router it self.
