I gave Ukraine I think $10 Billion of which $5B was for him to buy American hardware of his choosing. $5B goes to floating the government. I also gave him supplies and war material on top of the equipment he got. |

Posting things in domestic news threads isn't enough, there's lots of domestic news and it's difficult to keep up with. All bilateral deals need to be posted in either your Foreign Affairs thread as an announcement, which is the minimum, or carried out in posted negotiations in a Bilateral Meeting/Multilateral Meeting thread. |

My understanding of the current Ukraine situation. The Odessa front is completely static/unchanged. Understanding this, does your last post still take place? I'm thinking mostly of the SCUD attacks on Odessa harbor and all. You spoke in a passive, not an active, so I wasn't sure if that was planning or action taken. I'd just like to know before I start posting the withdrawal from Odessa, to see if I'll have a port to use or not. |

I've adjusted Russia and Ukraine's OOBs to something much more useful and accurate given real-world constraints. As a forewarning, the standard I will be using to judge tactics will be if it makes sense to a five-year old child. So if it's not likely to fly in the real-world, it probably won't fly here. |

Anything related to the War in Donbass should be posted in that thread in the Pilothouse. Negotiations between yourself and allies should take place in the Foreign Ministries. But any troop movements, equipment donations, etc. should be in the Pilothouse |

Before this gets to far, i'm giving a chance for everyone to re-do their posts. Think for a minute what would happen if South Korea were openly allowing and Japanese military forces to launch an invasion of the Korean Peninsula. Likewise, think very carefully what the Japanese public would do if the extremely unpopular in-game Abe cabinet authorized a preemptive strike against North Korea. |

1. Koreans absolutely hate the Japanese. Decades of brutal colonization only ended a couple of generations ago. 2. Does North Korea no longer have an air force to protect itself? 3. In response to Japanese and South Korean aggression, I expect Seoul to be leveled by conventional artillery about 10 minutes after the first bombs are dropped. Both the South Koreans and Japanese have completely ignored the more than 13,000 conventional artillery pointed directly at Seoul. Add that to the more than a hundred missiles likely positioned in that area and there won't be much left of the South Korean capital or Asian economy in a matter of minutes. 4. South Korean hits on silos destroy Taepodong missile platforms but the majority of North Korea's nuclear missiles are mounted on road mobile batteries. 5. Don't make the argument that their military is in disrepair. They may not have the newest equipment but their people are starving because the little money the government has is being spent on the military |

I think it'd be easier for us to just scrap the whole thing. I mean, no amount of RPing will allow Japan to invade North Korea in any shape or form by 2016. A lot of the BS that Japan is doing in this RP is total horsecock. The Japanese people would never want Japan to be at the forefront of regional politics...not in 2016 with a declining Prime Minister Abe at the helm. If Abe is really trying this sh*t, he'd be voted out of power before the aircraft left the runway. Seriously, getting the JSDF deployed on peace keeping missions that require them to do more than build sh*t is like trying to pull teeth out of a rabid lion with a pair of tongs. What makes you think the Japanese public is okay with straight up bombing another country? The entire region must be US dominated unless it's RPed otherwise (which has not been sufficiently done IMO). |

That doesn't make it okay to completely ignore the actual political situation in the region. You guys need to be more flexible. Be more creative. Don't just say, "Well the US isn't all that active so we'll just go and invade ourselves." Why not RP a growing rift between yourselves and the US? Over the next few months (or even years) you can work together and develop your own stuff to become independent of the United States then think about invading North Korea. But as it is, you two should be getting absolutely smashed by the North Korean military, the public at home (which, as I've said above, the South won't have many left after Seoul gets bombarded), and by the international community as a whole. And I can't wait to see what China does. Because Beijing sure as hell won't be happy with Japan (whom the Chinese hate just slightly less than the Koreans do) bombing their neighbor. North Korea straight up shelled South Korean territory and the two just kind of bitch slapped each other before calming down again. But God forbid they test another missile because the Japanese with their pacifist constitution and war-allergic populace will totally start bombing your country. And the South, filled with Japanese hating Koreans, will welcome the Japanese with open arms "Yes please help us bomb our brothers and sisters to the North." |

The staff has warned Ford in Japan to take more measured actions in the future; invading the DPRK isn't a measured action. Especially with the staff, specifically this MilMod, has repeatedly indicated that in-game conditions only add to the significant barriers that prevent Seoul and Tokyo from cooperating so overtly. If it was going to be a walk in the park using force against Pyongyang, it would have been done already. |

I've said what I need to say in the matter (both in and out of character). I refuse to recognize Japanese belligerency in North Korea and will continue to RP as such until those posts are either reversed or adequate roleplay takes place making a Japanese offensive on North Korea possible. If this precedent of roleplay is accepted, I will begin drafting my invasion of Ireland. |

I think your point's been made and I think there's staff consensus that Japan isn't in a position to jump in. I'd even argue that a preemptive assault isn't possible without US backing. |

You refuse? I don't give a flying fuck what you recognize. The point is, you have a gravely misshapen view of what Japan would and would not do. Japan has already stated it would pre-emptively attack North Korea if it felt it was necessary. Japan has also redefined Article 9, but you probably didn't bother to check that. Shortly after beginning talks of a Security Treaty with South Korea it redefined its constitution to allow Collective Self Defense. Soooooooooo, you can stop being a little punk and recognize what everyone else does. Japan is a rising power, and will do whatever is necessary to gain a leg up on its Regional & International Rivals. ----------- So yea, you better swiftly check your shit on that little post. Quoting expired Treaties, and Outdated Copies of an Constitution that were redefined? I guess though if we are going to quote Expired Treaties I will call upon the United Kingdom to honor her Treaty of Alliance with Japan to crush the North Korean threat. |

Alright, my patience is gone; firstly, I don't get why the UK is making this their business. It's not like they have any major interests in Asia besides making sure the City of London still dominates Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore. Secondly, you need to calm down Ford and stop making every single move a life or death decision for Japan. I'm closing this thread for 24 hours to give everyone a chance to take a breather. |
