I thought of a few games be4 but it's more towards adventure and physical la. The game is also more towards like going for outing instead of just playing game for the afternoon. This is my suggestion. Feel free to say anything about it. We can ask the boys to go to SMK Green Road. Then ask them to walk to Satok, the wet market la to buy items we ask them to. I would say that the items are more towards food like where we can buy fried noodle, fried rice, chicken rice or kolo mee at the stall opposite Chung Hua No. 4. They can aslo go the wet market to buy fruits also. The money they will need to prepare themselves. We can use the excuse that they have to pay money for the food. Then asked them to go to somewhere like my house to meet at a particular time la. Whoever come to the place mentioned fastest and spend the least money shall win the game la. It's more like Amazing Race or Explorace la but it's more towards looking for items la. So, watcha think about it? Outdoor Activities  Place suggested: Reservoir Park The game can be divided into two parts. First Part:- Let’s say there are 3 teams divided among the boys. They are wanted to look for a certain colour of a flag like blue or red or green which is the colour of their flag needed. We could place 20 flags at the venue of each colour. We could ask them to look for 10 or more due to the time limitation. 2 NCOs will be assigned to each group to assist them only if they asked and to look after the boys. They could also be the judges for the groups’ teamwork spirit, creativity, intelligence and other aspects. Second Part:- Those who finish part one shall be permitted to brought to the next location. For example, from Reserval Park to the Auditorium (I think it’s an auditorium, a field with a stage in the middle) next to Sarawak Club with an NCO assisting them. After that, they are given a task and a camera. We could ask them to take 5 kind of different photos that represent the aspects we have given to them. For example, pictures that represent teamwork, close relationship among group members, fun and joyful moment, some cool and exciting action and a group photo with a beautiful scene. Judging Poll:-  The marks can be divided into two parts which is the first event and the second event. The first event’s mark will be decided by the two NCOs who were assigned to each group. Perhaps they could give an opinion of the groups’ strongest and weakest aspects. Otherwise, we could give them a marking scheme to give marks. Then, the second event’s mark shall be judged through their photos. Depending on which photos that clearly show us the aspects we had wanted, the group with the most appropriate photos shall be given the most marks. Then, both marks from both events shall be summed up. Quest of searching for certain items  Another game I have thought of is looking for certain objects games. Depending on the time given, the number of items that we had wanted them to look for can be less or more. For example, I want them to look for 15 red leaves & 10 green leaves, a bottle of sand & water, a big & a small rock, 3 petals of flower of different colour and a special symbol from a person. The symbol I mentioned could be an initial or a signature or even an item possessed only by the person. The group may be wanted to do a certain act before they could get the wanted item from the person depending on the person’s need. Those who get all the items and are at the wanted location in the shortest time shall win the competition. Chinese Chess  A lot of people adore playing Chinese chess. So, I was wondering if it was possible of playing Chinese chess with real people. 17 people shall be needed in one group. 16 of them will be the chess’s markers. The other one will be determining their group’s fate by playing it with an opposition group. The game’s structures, rules and playing methods are still the same except that when, for example, a soldier ‘eating’ the opposition’s soldier shall need to ‘kun chun’ unlike where they could kill the soldier that they ‘ate’ accordingly. So, a normal soldier shall be killed after losing once in ‘kun chun’. A ranked soldier like the horse, the elephant, the car, the ‘pao’ or the guard protecting the leader shall be killed after losing twice in ‘kun chun’. As for the leader, he shall only be killed after losing three times in ‘kun chun’. So, the other one who are responsible playing the chiness chess will be the ‘boss’ whereby the other markers in the chess have to completely obey his instruction and could not reject or interfere with his decision or when he is making a decision. This is my newest game list.  Will come with new ones in some other time Indoor Games My way of defining indoor games are not games that are played in a close-spaced place, it’s just that it is played in a certain area but not like all around a place like Reserval Park. Three Words Game This game is also played in the internet. So, I guess you guys who always surf internet are sure to know what does this game means. Take example, a group of 10 boys are gathering around in a circle. I will ask one of the boys to say three words like “once upon a…” Then, the next boy must continue the three words in the given time like “time, there was…” The game will continue on and go round the circle till one of the boys could not continue the phrase or could not mention the next three words in the time given. Therefore, that boy will be disqualified and the game shall continue till the last boy stands. Continuing Chinese Words Game This game is just like a TV show shown before. The game is quite simple. It can only be done in Chinese. The first boy will say two words like “Chin Jie – clean”. The next boy has to repeat the first two words said and add another continuing two words that follows the last word of the first two words. For example, “Chin Jie de Jie ah, Jie Bai de Bai ah!” The game shall continue till a boy mentions the words structure wrongly or not in the order or could not come out with a word to continue the last word. Story & Answering This game is more likely to be played in a close-spaced place where all of the boys will seat down and listen or watch. Either a story is told or a sketch is played by the boys as a way to tell the story to the boys. Then, questions will be asked according to the story and the boys are required to answer it. To make things more exciting, the boys can be divided into groups and marks will be given to the groups that are correct. I’m sure the boys will like to listen to interesting story and in the mean time, to add more fun into it, we could ask the boys questions. Passing down words or numbers I’m sure you guys will be thinking about passing down a certain sentence or a number down a straight alignment of boys which is also done before by W/O Chong. Well, for this game, I suggest passing down, instead of such short sentence, why don’t we pass down short conversation between two characters? For example, a conversation between a waiter and a customer. The waiter might be asking questions about what the customer would like to eat or suggesting delicious dishes to the customer. Meanwhile, the customer could order dishes such as: “I would like to order your famous French dish – the liver pate’ and the pheasant a la rein’ as the main dish, for the side dish I would like to have lemon chicken for 3 person, roasted deer’s meat cooked with garlic and onion for 2 person and a plate of ‘ma li chai’ cooked with fried egg…” The boy will be given a piece or two papers for them to take down notes. After that, the next boy shall come in from somewhere else like outside the church (if the game is played in the church). The first boy shall then pass down the short conversation to the other boy. The game shall continue till the last boy and he is wanted to say it out loud to the narrator in the early part. The game is recommended to be played with an approximately numbers of 5 to 10 person as it might consume a lot of time. Proverbs @ “Chen Yi” Okay, this is one of the games I thought when in Sarikei supporting BN. LOL. Anyway, this proverb game is played in group. Suggested number of boys in a group is 10 for certain proverbs only include numbers 1 till 10. Some proverbs themselves have numbers inside it like “Bu Shan Bu Si” (No three no four). First, the group of 10 boys shall be given number 1 till 10. The boys shall then form a circle randomly with their hands holding each other. Then, they shall release their hands and move one step forward. Then, someone (whose Chinese is good) shall mention the proverb like “Bu Shan Bu Si”. This mean that number 3 boys and number 4 boys shall connect together with single hand holding each other. Then, the next proverb like “Yi Wu Yi Shi” (One five one ten) shall be mentioned. Number 1, 5 and 10 boys shall connect together through their hands, arms or shoulder. Proverbs like “Yi Yuan Bu Fa” (Not a single sound made) which are mentioned do not require the boys to do any act as it only mention the number 1 or a single number only. For proverbs that has a word which sound like numbers do not count too where by it should be ignored. The boys are only required to act according to the actual numbers mentioned in the proverbs. At the end of the game, the group that connects correctly wins the game. Alphabetical Shapes This game is more likely forming shapes that can only be judged from above. For example, the boys shall play at the ground floor of the church below the church’s balcony where the organizer shall stand by and judged if the alphabets are formed accurately. The number of boys in a group must be at least 25 boys. This is because a number of people shall be needed to form an alphabetical shape like “THE BOYS’ BRIGADE”. The group that can form the fastest and the most accurate alphabetical shapes wanted shall win the game. Story by Numbers This game is quite the same with the Story & Answering game. It’s just that in the story, we include numbers like 21, 89 or may be even 1001. At first, we shall tell a story that has numbers in it. We can also trick the boys by adding words that sound like numbers. It’s better still if the story could be told in Chinese as most Chinese words sound like numbers. After telling the story, we will ask the boys what are the numbers mentioned by the narrator. To make the story much interesting, the same method can be done which is to divide the students into groups. That's all for now. Till next time...  Hi guys!~ This is the new game thought by me of course <_< The mafia, doctor & police This game is quite popular among the students and I’m sure that it had been played before. So, I’m sure most of the boys know how to play this game. I’ll just simply explain the game to you. First of all, the mafia, the doctor and the police shall be chosen. The rest shall be the helpless citizen. Depending on the number of the boys playing, the characters chosen can be two or more of the same type. Then, there shall be a game master that is responsible telling the story. He shall ask everyone to sleep at first as it was night time. Then, the mafia shall be awaken and ask to choose his victim. Even if there are two mafias, the victim shall only be one. After that, he will be asked to sleep (close his eyes). Then, the doctor will be awakened and he is to choose to rescue himself or the citizen. If he manages to choose the right person who’s the mafia victim, he will be spared from death. Then, he shall close his eyes and the police shall be awakened. The police is to guess who the mafia is and if he got it right, the game master shall give a signal to him. Then, everyone shall be awakened. The game master will say whether it’s been a bloody night or a peaceful night depending on if there is a victim or not. The game master has the full authority to say it in another way he prefers. Then, the accusation shall begin where they (everyone) shall have the right to choose who the accused is. The accused shall be prosecuted through votes from everyone else. Before he is prosecuted, he can give his last speech which might change the voters’ mind. If he’s the right mafia, the game shall end. If not, the game shall continue until there is one person and the mafia left. If the police knows who the true mafia is, he can confine him but he cannot expose his own identity saying that he is the police. You guys might think that if the police knew who the mafia is, this game would be over. But here’s the hitch, if a person keep accusing another person, they might think that he’s the mafia. Even though, it’s a game played before but we seldom have the chance playing it. Therefore, I think it’s a good chance to introduce this game again. Ok, that's all for now  |

Actually W/o cHong, ex-member Ei sheng think of a game like tat b4.....but not the one which buy the food or finding sumthing...Think about this....How many boy in company noe how to take the bus from a station to another station? n wat the bus no. need to take to another station?.....hehehe.....maybe u all can take this as another suggestion for the game lor... The objective for tis game is to let them noe that there is another solution for them who dun haf any transpot while the parade's nite or the activity's time. Ex- Coporal Liu Ju Men done a great thing b4, go gather wif those who dun haf transpotation at sum place n taking bus from that place to church them back to their house. Tat was a great example...juz depend on u guy wanna do it or not lor...not by picking them wif ur parent's car BUT learn how to go through the path INDEPENDENTLY.... Hopefully the "no transpotation" will not become a reason during the parade nite.

yea. what a great idea. but think of it... nowadays kid are different now. They all dun like to take public bus and may becos of that then they duwan to come for BB meeting anymore. No offence yea, but i think w/o dennis's idea is really great. Hopefully programme NCOs will think of what w/o dennis said. :rolleyes: |

Sorry didn't reply these days. Were busy with my exam recently. Anyway, the game that include bus was fantastic!~ I will try to think of a game out of it. I am sure it will be useful to the boys in later days. Coming out with a few games when going to Sarikei to 'vote'. Will post it out later in a neater form :rolleyes: !~ |
