wan inform all band members dat we having extra band practice on sundays to preapre for kch fest parade... i hope all band members can put in dis extra effort to make dis parade a memorable one... my target is 48 members... i wish dat all members will come for all de band practices... set aside other stuffs... put extra priority on band for dis one month onli n after dat form 5 members can rest liao... dis is yr last chance to perform so gambateh~ band practices r as follows: sat: 830-1130 sun: 1400-1700 tq... |

attention pls... i have arranged one more song to be played during de parade... its scotland de brave... including other instruments parts oso... section leaders pls print de score out if u have noteworthy composer n give it to yr members so dat they can learn b4 coming to band... pls inform those section leaders who do not on9 n help dem print out their parts n give it to dem... p/s could someone be so kind to help me tell cpl gordon dat he have to play scotland de brave for de parade???  i have finalize de song lists... 1. hm.....from the scotland the brave that u arranged.....bagpipe cant blow from Bar 17th till 20th coz bagpipe only can play in 1 octave.....hehe and rasa sayang use on marching?? hm...i suggest that if that could change to anchor song or mighty band of bro and maybe marine hymn?? that song give "mental support" to players when on the march...n let ppl feel that we r strong too.....coz that seems weird when playing kampong's song on the march......hahaha.....  and the montego bay's song...could u ask the note from mdm? i mean the drum note for the montego bay....hehe..coz that song arranged by mdm |

de bag pipe part not de actual one played by bagpipe... i just follow de tune of de song... so bag pipe still play same as last time... just dat all instruments de key change to suit de bag pipe... so bag pipe just play as usual.. no need change anything... rasa sayang need play la... at least some songs other ppl noe one... anchor song n mighty band of brothers n notes a bit cacated n many ppl dunno how to play... need to rearrange it first... |

hmmm.......from ex-S/sgt Hong's idea...maybe we try to rearrange Rasa sayang into more on Jazz?? that's a very fresh idea on marching band. n maybe like he said...drummer play the drum wif this hand but not using drumstick...i think that good idea... |

formation for city day march past finalized! sgt nigel pls refresh the members for the band drill jus like last week cos i m not coming this sat (pt exam)... note that u should include: -LOW mark time -FORWARD march -BACKWARD march -SIDE step (there's a diffrence percussion and wood/brass wind stepping) and pls train them on their instrument up and down during marching... will be using it a lot... and also see if got any drum beat/solo that is quite long... i need at least 20-30 bars... i wan evryone to take the same steps... instead of making additional steps... like taking 5 or 6 steps when u are only needed to take 4 steps... i will go straight to formation when i come back for practice... thx for evryones coorperation in advance... |

hey, tell u guys sumthing.. pte david ting told me tat he wanna go 4 kch fest.. but his time schedule kinda fixed.. if he goes 4 sat morning pratice, he can't go 4 sunday practise.. if he goes 4 sunday pratice, he can't go 4 sat morning pratice... i think u all noe, he can b counted as a gud trumpeter oso oh.. i realy hope he can join lar.. n he juz require one simple thing, if can, he wanna use his usual trumpet he use laz time.. juz a simple request.. sgt nigel, consider him.. he realy wanna participate in the kch fest performance.. i oso realy hope tis time de performance can b gud.. ex s/sgt hong's idea is cool... make rasa sayang kinda jazz style.. surely b cool.. wif our lowers brass bass.. n percussion.. cool!! montego bay kok... siok nia... scotland de brave oso siok de... realy hope we can hav a wonderful performance.. we represent, BB, we represent 2nd Kch... we represent the honor n name of BB!!!!! i wanna feel realy confidence 2 say "BB owes is the Best!!!' but not mouth say mouth song only.. well, 2 all band members, Gambateh!!! BB lives in U... n non band members, we nid ur supports n encouragement.. Ur prayers n blessings do will help alot... Alleluia!! |
