ok now..i've realized one thing that....some band members until today they dont even know how to play their instrument yet !! is that a very sad thing? i think it's super sad because ..they sacrifice their whole Saturday and sumtimes Sunday to come to BB band to learn music but in the end after a few months they still dont know how to play a song yet !! isn't that quite sad.. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- if u cant learn anything in Band u're wasting your own time and your parents money because they have to bring u to band which they waste 15 minutes juz to bring u to band (if u live at jalan green or sumwhere near me) it really takes 15 minutes for ur parents to bring u to band and they themselves, your parents have to drive back home and their 15 minutes wasted juz to bring u after that maybe u live quite far..u have to stay at church and 'eat' at Fu Xing at 5pm..after parade night your parents come and pick u up after their 15 minutes and bring u back which takes 15 minutes so..all in all..they wasted their 1 hour on the road.....so u come to band and u really dun learn anything..i think..u better dun come ,...better stay at home help your parents do housework or homework...dun come here and waste ur time and petrol money >>the words i learned from our most respected officer, Lt. Desmond and some words from me hehe ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear band members, Now...not only in band we need to learn instrument we must practise and practise and pratise at home !! u wan to play a good song but u only practise once a weeek?i dun think u'll make a nice band members u're juz putting yourself in band and make our band 'look' big only that's no point for u and me but..many times..we see ppl admiring other ppl's band or maybe they love watching at ppl's band...im not here to say that we 'MUST BE ' like other school bands like Green Road School Band or St.Joseph but at least we must try our best in playing our music...sumtimes..some band members they really 'admire' ppl's band but they forgot that what's they point they admire but not try to make ppl admire them? why not take action and learn to play ..learn to play and learn to play if i ask u guys that whether NBA player, Micheal Jordan , O neil or football player like our David Beckham or Ronaldo...(dun ask me why i use their name...i juz think of their name suddenly) are they nice or pro in their sports? im sure everyone will say that they are nice player in sports they i'll ask again..do u guys think that the the NBA and soccer player they train ALL the time maybe ALWAYS if not all the time so practise really will make ppl near to perfect although we cant make perfect all the time so..band members..again i wanna say...do your best in learning music learn when u really can when u have the time ok u ppl really wanna be like me ? until form 5 baru really noe how to play a bugle? dun grab the last opportunity...use the time wisely..i really pratise hard for my bugle ..i dun wanna waste my time in my bugle class..do sit up run for 2 rounds and then play instrument but then gain nothing in the class for me...i think i have to use the time wisely and learn what i should at home...i learn my bugle from 6-7 like this can say almost everyday unless got tuition at nite or function if not guarantee i use the time to play music and WATCH Tv it's not hard eh ? u juz use your time wisely although it might really make noice..but i still have to learn eh..now i can play until 5 sound...( im not here to show off or what juz wanna let u guys know that when u encourage your boys or members they sure learn wan and give them challenge that next band meeting wanna see u have improvement) what i wanna try to tell u band members now is that learn what u can in BB one more thing for section leaders try to concern your band members by asking what they have learned and teach what they dunno and what u know u can try to TEST them when in sectional practise listen to what they have learned at home.. if he is not improving at all = guarantee no learn at home... so must encourage him and tell him next week wanna see what u learn at home at the next band meeting.. like this your band members will improve ma...coz..we dunno who knows and who dunno how to play their instrument and i think this way is quite effective what do u think? happy learning and for non members when u come to BB u must enjoy and try to learn every single thing in BB and u'll find that u've many things to learn here !!! |

i forgot to write one thing.. section leader please work..u have to CONTACT your members !!! sometimes..when our Band members are to tired but with our 'words and encourage' they will come with us coz we care for them...tell them that we work as a team..a band cant lose u and me last time we have many members in our band meeting..u guys still remember? it's so fun to see and nice but now the members are dropping? what is happening? we made the recruitment so hard and keeps on asking ppl to join and now lastly we HAD the members and now some are 'almost' gone the new FACEs now i cannot see anymore u guys wanna drop the members until 20+ like last time even worst when it's 10+ ? i've ever went through the days..u can ask sgt nigel and sgt tiong now..we need to make sure the attendence is good although last time band members attendence can be 100% now at least we can aim at 90% ? dun be too bad although we cant admit that some ppl will be having other activities so let's make the attendence good and try to look back your members !! appreciate them !!! |

yeah... let me make it simple again.....for ...'some' ppl 1. attendence problem ...now we have members but u ppl seem to be like..not cherish at all...why i said so..coz i'm seeing the attendence is dropping... plz..cherish the members and do what u'er suppose to do.. 2. wat can u do if u not joinning band.....play at home? play computer games? 3. Leadership of leader...plz for section leaders or NCOs..plz do test your boys how their practise at home..and see whether they really do it at home? again..if no..u know what u should do..again..encourage them as usual section leader must always test their members and also make sure the attendence for their section is good...u must care for ur members as they are UNDER u !!! 4. ur attitude in band...come band..but dun wan learn how to play the instrument...this is the WORST thing.. 5. dun waste ur parents time..as it takes time for them to bring u to come to BB and bring u back from BB...they also need to work..do ur best in learning band 6. Dun waste fuel...for some ppl..they live quite far...so..again..dun waste parents time as it also waste the fuel money... |
