"Going home" is not a funeral song, it's quite a famous classical piece in "From the New World". However it does sound like a funeral song because of its sad lonely tune. TIt was composed by a Czech composer named Dvorak was having homesick when he was staying in America. He wrote this because he desired to go back to his native land. Anyway, I do like this song because I have the same feeling like the composer. To my beloved bagpipers, practise hard! can't wait to see you guys playing the pipes. |
