b4 u ppl think about all tis buying stuff.... juz a reminder.... do u ppl think the band nd it?? mayb the maze is spoilt... u ppl ever think of repairing it??? u noe wat me n s/sgt bong did during band camp?? we help 2 find ppl 2 weld it bck.... y shud we be the 1 taking the initiative??? drum major(s) can u anwser me???? plus... izit worth buying such things 4 a 'band' like tis??? try 2 improve on the quality rather than demanding tis n tat!!!!!! tats the main problem of u all... demand everywhere.... nvr consider weaknesses.... if can go buy everything st. jo band got.... then 2nd kch band transform into st. jo??? skill same??? |

u guys r ridiculous... its a discussion board... u dunno wad i did last time??? me n sgt kho went to next door ask de ah pek to help us repair de mace... if u dunno anything pls dun simply shoot here n der... de ah pek say dis kind of thing knot weld.. cos its aloi... den they help us pull apart de old one n attach de head of another old mace into it for training... i even ask my uncle to use sth like gum to glue everything back... if u dunno dat u can ask cpl alvin n syl last time they play with what mace... we r here to discuss... look at de title... it says cool accessories... did we demand anything??? maybe i just say need buy one mace protector... issit too much??? think about it... plus... i dun see any changes to de mace since u said u find ppl to fix it... its still de same... u noe wad i did last time kok??? i bring old mace home n find big big screws to screw back de head but in de end de screw putus.. but at least i tried... i use pipe to bend back de screw in de middle of de new mace but do u noe it??? i use tape to encircle de mace so dat it is tighter when it is covered... u got notice??? no rite??? ssgt desmond... b4 u say all dis... did u think of how long u have been in band to noe anything about it??? not once rite??? so pls la... wad we do u cant see... wad u cant see u think we din do... so wads de point of shooting ppl here??? last time y did ssgt bong need a new mace so urgently just days b4 recruitment drive??? de new mace arrive de night b4 recruitment performance in grss... y din he repair de previous mace??? it has onli been use by mr loh for one year n jeffery for one year... ans is cos mace cant be repair by normal welding or wad la.... cpl alvin even put pvc pipe into de mace a some cardboard to make de old mace stronger so they can practise with it... u noe it o not??? |

bcoz i'm nvr a band member then i stil do tis things.... then u ppl as a band member??? u think u shud do the same as me only??? u shud do more rite??? y u don go band camp?? busy??? i saw u 1 afternun leh... ur stil drum major rite??? the 2 cpl only acting ma.... if u think u oledi did enuf then i'm fine wif it... if ur band is very gud oledi then ok la.. maybe u did sumthing i duno... i did sumthing u dunno oso.... i felt tat u ppl shud do more than tat at least do more then me as a band member.. 2 finis my part... i appreciate wat u did... thk u very much..... go think who is the 1 tat shud do tis things.... it is the same wif the fun camp.... relate sumthing wif tat.... rili hope u ppl can learn sumthing from ppl's criticism.... tat wil make u grow more........ don think tat ppl SHOOT sumthing then u feel insulted..... |

y i dun go band camp??? band camp is last min den organize one... b4 dat i already paid for a damai trip with frens... i came back dat afternoon n came over to church straight away... do u noe dat??? |

ya...i din't say i wanna buy the mace...maybe some of u misunderstand...i stated the price is just to show that it's not more than RM 800....but since wo dennis seems to say i still dun understand...then it's fine...maybe taxes everywhere add up is more than USD$ 100... since the beginning i din say i wanna ask the band to buy that... if there's any proof saying that i say i wanna buy, then i have nothing to say liao  this topic is to let ppl see things about band...let our members know more about band...let them learn...i've learnt the differences between a mace and a baton... but...y need to have conflict? how did you feel when u start to type all those angry words? and do u know how we feel when we are reading...even if it's not against the reader...we'll feel sad...y knt we work hormoniously? there are plenty of angry words flying around In the olden BB, there is always the superiors scolding the juniors and leaving the juniors no chance to explain...n yet their words are not so frenly... i think boys or even NCOs these days also know rite? maybe the superiors just wan the juniors to wake up...but sometimes the superior also wrong...wat to say waking up the juniors? jrs will only find it unreasonable and hence, plant a bomb in their heart...+the boys now is different, many will stand up for themselves already...which makes thing worse...some even resign... remember 2 years ago where we have a lot a lot of recruits? they can form up a big squad aside during closing parade... they were scolded loudly by Mr Lee...and how was the attendance in the following week? about repairing the mace, we did do something...the band camp in march last year...we brought the 3 best mace next to the TMC there to remove the head(lower part) to replace the 2nd best mace's lower head...the screw was cut so that the head could be pulled up n the thick layer of gum thing is true, it's not bad actually...coz it can reduce the impulse when hit the ground...like air bag... n i did find PVC to stable the 2nd mace...i cut paper to wrap the PVC tip so that it would fit nicely to the mace head...n that is gud enuf...but sooner, the paper wrapped a little torn inside... the pvc tip becomes thinner...making the mace head always open after that...n the screw also broken after that...making the backbone of the head dropped out...i also got placed layers of sponge to protect it n reduce impulse on the head but failed...coz it also torn when it on the ground the cello tape is on the 1st best mace which is the only gud mace we have... it was 1st tapped by sgt nigel...then we also got buy an extra one to replace the old tape...it's in the band room...lcpl clement sponsored it...it was the night b4 the salcra performance at a beach somewhere lundu... about the absence of sgt nigel in the camp, i told him about the camp after his SPM finnishes...he did say it's a pity he cnt attend...i think it was a 2 days camp? n it's with his classmates....class fellowship, right? well...if we can accept the critism then we will...because it's our fault and our mistakes...n we're sorry about that and we appreciate our ssgt desmond for coming to our band camp...even u are't band member, and also our ex-dm ssgt bong, giving lessons to cpl syl...u came the whole afternoon, stay overnight and leave at 4am the next morning...Thank you very very much... but sometimes the superior misunderstood but straight away scold the juniors...the jrs, who think they have no wrong will find the superior irresponsible with their words... in some occasions i think we knot angry our young ones...i'm a ranked prefect in sch...i understand these things...our of 6 of my helpers, 2 are against me... i struggled very hard to change things, to make them be better followers... they have wrong thinking about me... so i approached the previous head boy, he said, we have to change their thinking using my wisdom... maybe we have to change the thinking of the young ones...so that they can accept our critism better... I'm really really very sorry if I've offended anyone or if I've said something wrong. I hope, or ...... should say I want? everything fine about the conflict...  P/S: i would like to add something...sgt nigel is the most hardworking dm in my years in band...he search midi files everywhere in then net...modify them...especially the Christmas Medly, and also all the Christmas songs, Part A n B...that's his idea of cantum those songs, modify them...add few intros... other songs are like...Phantom of the Opera, Anchor Song, Mighty Band of Brothers, Scotland the Brave, Ode to Joy etc etc... there are a lot of new songs being introduced last year... how long have he spent on that we don't know...but it must be very long...and it's not easy... cpl wee also got do smth la, he organised the formation thing...and he got some useful materials from the net? or somewhere else...hundreds of pages of them...about each section's info...how we march in band... |

there is too many of thing that u dunno.... if wan noe more...con n c me...i will "explain" to u... coz the world is too wide...so as there a lot of ppl.....and different thinking... sum of u may think that is good...but it's not... Respect, leadership, teamwork....will u all got that? how about responsibility? dun tell me u din learn anything during that 2 hours on last week.... |

its hard when we don hav the same opinion... its criticism tat make us grow.... the point is how much u can accept out of all the criticism.... there must be sumthing not rite then got criticism ma... when i pin point out drum majors i don put hard feeling.... juz bcoz drum major is the head of the band so its like tat... n it shud be like tat... sumthing knot come 2gether in once... like u wan ur fren fellowship so u sacrifice sumthing else.... u wan 2 be the chairman u hav 2 sacrifice sumthing oso... by getting the blame.. don ever think of getting all the post then leave a word tat u hav sumthing else going on... tats explaination although its the truth from u.... actually its very easy 2 see.... yes u all r very hardworking doin tis n tat... tats not the main point showing who did the most.... wat bout the result???? gud or bad??? measure it wif ur heart.... look at the band..... maybe u think its on the rite path.... 1 thing is always explaination here n there... we don wan explaination... from the fun camp til now there too many explaination.... bcoz u think u did well... but we think u failed rite??? so measure again... u rili did well or failed... u think u all shud not held responsible 4 all tis blame?? then who??? boys??? the 1 who only noe how 2 shoot like me n other officers???(tats wat u ppl think) our role is not 2 carry out plans.. we r 2 say sumthing bout the plans.... we use mouth.... u all r the 1 who carry out plans... u ppl use actions.... u think we r shooting here n there coz tats our job.... after a round of shooting u ppl shud think.... not 2 shoot bck saying tat u did tis n tat.... so wat if u did tis n tat... the results knot be changed.... 4 alvin... prefect thing in ur skool... u shud thks those ppl against u... coz they make u think more.... not bcoz they r the minority so they r wrong.... against u mayb rite leh... juz ppl don support ma.... 4 the scolding boys by mr lee.... if knot handle the scold so leave.... theres no big deal 4 such ppl leaving... coz we don wan such quantity... maybe u ppl wan.... its a big problem when jrs stand up against their superiors.... coz it shud not be like tat... by rank n file although ur rite.... tats discipline n obedience.... but as superiors we consider.... like wat i'm doin now... hearing from u all trying 2 noe sumthing.... sumtimes u all don wan 2 tell.... all ur words here r generated by some criticism.... u think rite???? although i dunno u think the gud way or bad way la... at least u think..... a solution is 2 bring gud results.... other than tat is called failure.... from failure u get blamed... n u think again until u success.... u all can say a lot of things here... n i hope the meeting 4 the last fun camp can generate such thinking oso(if stil got)... so tat we can discuss... so tat we can noe wat u all think.... coz we rili cant c ur idea.... there is a gap..... like i learnt sumthing from here n i hope u all 2.... at least u ppl express sumthing.... |

ssgt desmond... i got one ques to ask u la... y u nvr in yr whole bb life wan to join band??? u r president man, founders man, ex chairman... but y u just dun wan to join band??? as an outsider... wad u can see its de weakness... yes... its gud to have u saying dis n dat... maybe we who r inside de band knot see it.... but der r two kinds of criticism.... constructive n destructive... maybe yr motive is gud but de way u say it makes it sounds like destructive criticism... den wads de point??? if im not used to getting shoot like dis n dun love BB enuf u think i will continue to do wad i've been doin all dis while?? certaintly not... all band council members work veri hard to improve our band... u can ask wo julian... how about wo dennis??? he has been a band member ever since i can remember... as an outsider... our efforts u knot see... once u knot see... u think we din take de innitiative... so our efforts = 0 in de end... u study a lot of physics rite??? work = force x displacement but if der is force but de thing (band) still wont move (improve)... does dat mean dat no work (effort) has been done???? |

U gila kah? or u got sumthing worng wif ur hormone? hehe S/sgt Bong ever told me a sentences in mandarin : "Take and remember the word of criticism....coz sumday u will thx for how that person said....and that sentences will make u grow.." "Take the word of praise....coz it help to make u prove urself that u do haf that ability..." Ppl in this world r not blind..not even the blind man .. eyes and mind will help to judge everything... wat did we learn from skool is different from wat u got when we step into community.... that's y...wat we think in our way is different from others ppl's mind... |
