yeah.. you are very correct too.. but sometimes it's really true that some criticism are just not correct because some people just judge ppl by seeing their outer part but never know how's the inner part.... we got an idiom is something sounds like this.. "dun ever judge ppl from their look"... No one is perfect in this world except our GOD as u know.. so, actually tat ppl already did his very best to try to 'repair' all the 'spoilness'.. just like someone in band? but you ppl didn't notice it? Problems is at everywhere and no ones can see tru every problems. So for sure there are some problems that they can't see. So, i think it's better to think what tat ppl realli did first b4 criticizing. For a very very bad ppl and never ever do any things which is benefit one.. then u can do dat.. but if tat ppl did very much and sacrificed so much of himself, you shudn't just seriously criticize him like he never do his job like tat.. this will put tat ppl into the jail and he'll feels that what he did so far = useless.. = nothing.. no ppl ever appreciate it.. and this will cause tat ppl to start struggle and may be think of give up on tat thing.. (just may be if tat guy was really sacrifice alot into it).. what shud do is just to give advice by telling him nicely but not seriously criticize him until no way out.. and yeah again, of coz it's that ppl's fault for failing doing some jobs but remember.. criticize too over is not the solution for some cases and for some ppl..... even for me i think if u did tat to me in wrong situation.. i mean.. u can criticize me if i did nothing but if i did so much in tat thing but just left out something didnt do, i couldn't accept those badly too over's criticism.. tat's how normal human's feels i guess.. sorry for my bad english.. |

excuse me, a junior among ya all.. but remember wad wo julian said during band camp nite? i hear but i do not listen, i look but i do not see.. get wad tis means? we knot judge sumthing or sum1 from wad we c only.. or mayb u can giv advices.. but, we can ignore ur advices.. i can c now tat ssgt desmond is giving us his advices, or comments from wad he sees.. but we can juz ignore him mah.... sry if i offended any1... i learn sumthing since the 'so called fun camp' in lundu laz yr.. we r hu we r.. we can do stuff in our own way.. others are juz givin u advices n comment.. doesn't mean u muz accept it.. if u think it's reasonable.. den accept it lor.. if u think it's unreasonable.. ignore it lor.. but if it's shooting u in an unpleasant way, u must stop it getting on.. yes, i agree in sum circumstances, i'm even junior among ya all.. no one even listen 2 me.. they juz think tat i'm lyk a white blank cloth.. but, nvm.. i'm juz being myself.. n do stuff of my own... no nid others attention.. serving at the back... but, remember.. we r not juz serving the officers so tat they r happy wid us 4 promotion... n not juz the Boys' Brigade.. but the Lord our God.. no one noes tat u've done so much stuff 4 BB quietly at the back... but God noes.. mayb the officers r not satisfied wid u cos they c nth from their naked eyes.. but God sees clearly.. mayb u'r juz a l/cpl in BB... But, u r a spiritual Lieutenant in God's kingdom... |

r u sure or r u confidence 2 say now tat, BB is the best? pls never judge on wad u c.. watch on the process 1st, den the result..

ya allah......y suddenly pop-up so many thing? clement...u're do in wrong way if u said u can ignore ppl's advice  u should said in "U only can ignore the BAD advices from ppl" thiking back...y ppl give u advice? sure that person got more experience or knowledge or watever than u mah...that's y he/she will gif u advice.. in the other way... paying compliment wat's mean by that? u all do that everytime? and discipline also... remember : "WE are not in the DEMOCRATIC troops... BUT WE ARE the TROOPs that DEFENSE OUR DEMOCRATIC!" "We are not the FREEDOM TROOPs.. BUT WE ARE THE TROOPS THAT DEFENSE OUR FREEDOM" same as the nco members...u r not in the freedom org...but u r the one who DEFENSE the freedom...defense the DISCIPLINE, Defend the MOTTO... If u urself dun defense it.. WHO WILL? company not run by me myself... As STEPHEN CHOW said in Saoline soccer : "Soccer is not played by a person" J. Cesear said : "Rome wanst build in a day" and even bible said that "World is not created in a day also..." old ppl used to said as "they eat salt more than u eat rice" , "they kentut more than u breathing"(this only a joke since here is so kinteo??... [BEWARE: this only can done by professional] ) must prove that company's choices r correct... |

ehm... about the mace, in my days (old, or even pre-my-years) we had only 1 mace... with only the head (or the crown) & the cane is self-made of broom-stick!!! & that was the marching band (the brass band was formed around late 90s) then we went to lots of band performance... collected some moneys & are able to buy a proper mace. so now (the then), we had 2 maces... 1 for everyweek/day practice, & the other kept in good shape just for use when in performance. ... so it's not really important if you have a very beautiful mace or even intruments that costs millions but your performance is bad, it's the show that people appreciate & not the instruments/equipments. every year officers have put aside some amount of money for band expenses, the money comes form your BB month collections (now a very small portion since the amount collected are a pity!) & TRINITY METHODIST CHURCH (a very big protion, not only in band but overall 2kch expenses). THANK GOD for all that & we should use it wisely. The mace is the responsibility of the drum major to protect (find any way) & maintain, my drum majors (again in my time -- old time) were punished for dropping the mace every count!! They used to practice on grassland so it would has less impact on the mace, no Boys were allowed to touch the mace except the drum majors & officers. It's good that cpl alvin took the initiatives to show us the website, even officers don't know so many things/advancement of the mace/band accessories, it increases knowledge. but on-the-other-hand, if you want to buy.. hee... hee... it's a different story liao, not to say we'll not allow, but it must be seriously considered. though it's a bit out of topic, just to share some of my experience, I'm getting old, so I like to tell old stories, as old man always do. hope my story help to clear the 'tensed' feeling here. not to comment on anybody because it's a 'public' forum. but do think twice when you want to put any 'serious' comment here, because your word/language/thoughts will show the kind of person you are/ reveal your personality... there's a saying... "you are what you said". but then it's good to see that you do put your thoughts here, constructive ones should be pointed out & those that are not should be corrected. |
