The clerk gently reminded the judge that judges must wait until hearing the other side before deciding the case. Then after listening to the opening statement of the defense attorney, the judge announced excitedly, "you're correct." The clerk again explained that fairness required the judge to wait for the complete trial before announcing the verdict. The judge responded, "you're right."
