Hey fellow users.. I bet that you all realised that after the 1st NCO's Council Meeting for 2008, the forum started becomin more n more 'lan'.. That's my fault.. :gomen: After the meeting i was given the task to be in-charge of the fourm and website. Sadly, it happened so fast that i only learned to change the weekly parade night details. I even had to ask for Yeong's help to create this topic.. :?:

Anyway, i find that everytime when i come on i find complaints about the forum.. Admin not good la.. Misleading info la.. Forum boring la.. etc. :'( So.. yeah.. Since I'm not exactly clear on what the users want, i created this topic specially for the revival of the Forum. ( Hence, the topic name )

Err, this is where you can express yourself on the condition of the forum and so on. If you feel that some things should be added or deleted, say so here. :helpp: If it's some thing really specific and has to be done a special way, do add some instructions please.. :hehe:

I hope that the everyone can co-operate and help to correct my mistakes.. ::shy::

That's all that I have to say, don't ignore this topic.. It's essential for me to improve the forum.. Thanks!!

P.S. When criticising, please don't be too harsh as this is a learning process..

Hey 2ndkch-ers!

I received this forum post in my email inbox. Havent checked in for ages now. But, i guess, like what has been raised, you can try to revive a 'forum' as a blog. I would recommend Blogspot

coz with blogs, you can have people commenting on it also.

this is an example of what the 3rdKL website is like: 3rd KL Website
note on the left hand side of the website, they have blog links (i.e, Boots and Brasso etc.)

and to create interests, its all about spreading the word. one good way is through facebook. more and more people are moving on from Friendster to Facebook. in facebook, u can create a group just for the company for example. it would be good also to get some input from ex-2nd kch ppl, like get them to write some articles about life after BB etc.

hope that helps!

in blogspot, u can setup a blog to have more than one author, meaning can have a few ppl to share the blog and update with their own accounts

WoW! What is this I'm looking at!? A forum revolution? Finally, the era of Yeong is over! *Just kidding* >.<

Okay back to the serious business, well a blog would be nice as well but a forum and a website are already more than enough to take care of. So stick to that unless you think you can take up the challenge. >.<

Anyway, I would recommend you to do what nigel has suggested, that is indeed a very good way of getting people back to the forum. If you notice, I once post something similar in the website - Leech Outing 2005. But I guess I was too 'strict' in the English, so try to loosen up, write it in the funny approach where people can comment. Hahaha!! Of course, have others to help as well, I'm sure BB has people who are good in story-telling and story-writing. =P

If words are too difficult for you and no one likes it, pictures would always do a better job - Photo Gallery. Have a look at the Explore Race for example, I guess a number of the Brigaders enjoyed it. Hahaha!! If you still prefer words, take a look at the literature corner where touching and funny stories are written. Try to get it more related to our organization and to Christ at all means possible. Here's one I wrote in the past - A Few Words from the Experienced. p/s It's not REAL!! >.<

i suggest u can start with a blog an link it to the forum.ppl will join the blog 1st eventually and read wats up and down for this company then have themself involve in the forum to hang around.i would say, this forum is kinda down too.no hard feelings.

if u think blog is not so appropiate, then u juz change the terms as a bulletin board.something like a newsletter for the company.simple as that.chris, u should be involve with more of this clubs and forum stuff from the outside and compare around.some basic steps are needed to be improved.the common forums of all this while DO have a blog as a starting page before u enter their forum.

eg: www.lowyat.net

im not here to hurt ur feelings, but its about the forum.so i suggest so.u can decide to or not to do so.cheers.
