HI everyone, today is my last day here in kch before i go back to KL for two weeks and come back again.. LOL... since i'm free now... i wan to share with u sth which i find relevant to our BB company now..

i take business management and studies as one of my subject in college.. here we learn about business organization and we learn about human resource planning... so u see... 2nd kuching company is an organization.. and our employees are the members... we also learn about motivation and how it is link to staff retention and recruitment (in out case it would be MEMBERS retention and recruitment)

lets see now... how does dis theory works??? first of all, we have a pyramid
Posted Image
as u can see, ders mani levels in de pyramid... de bottom most level is physiological (PHY) followed all de way up to self actualization (SA)... de theory states dat when a level of needs has been satisfied... it will no longer serve as a motivator...

take for example... when u r veri desperate for a job... u r broke... yr main motivator is MONEY, food, shelter (PHY) which is de lowest level... u will not hesitate to take up any job as long as u can satisfy those needs... however... once it has been satisfied.. u will look to de 2nd level... u will start to think of job security and after dat moving up another level u will start to care about yr relationship with others at job and then u will think of promotion and recognition and lastly u will try to achieve yr fullest potential...

so how does dis apply to our BB company???

1. as a recruit, when we first come to BB... u will feel happy when u first get yr blues, yr boots yr belt bla bla bla... dat is de first level... easy to satisfy rite???

2. as u move on... u will start to seek for safety needs... do i feel 'safe' with all these officers/ncos around??? or do they 'scare' me too much??? dat is de reason dat most members quit at dis stage... they cant take all these pressure...

3. when they get use to all the scoldings... they move up to another level.. love and belonging (or social needs)... they will start to feel like a family when they come to BB... they feel comfortable with all their friends and also their officers in BB... dat is de 3rd level...

4. now de next level is esteem needs... boys start to go for classes and earn badges... which boost their self esteem... and most importantly, and also de hardest part and most likely to be the most discouraging and demotivating part is promotion... those who are promoted will feel a sense of accomplishment and feel dat their loyalty/hardwork is recognized...

5. lastly, when u r a nco, u will be give responsibilities... dis is de chance for u to learn more and fulfill yr fullest potential thus allowing u to reach SA... SA is all about discovering yr own talents and capabilities...

in conclusion.. as long as one level of needs is not achieve, a member will not seek to move up another level and if dat need is continually neglected, it will result in demotivation and those causing dem to resign and BB will lose its attractiveness...

loso si... haha... THE END

CHEERS~ =.='''
