I liked command a lot better when I got the action replay code that let me use the d-pad.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Star Fox Adventures wasn't a slap because it was a bad game, it was a slap because they totally degraded the Star Fox franchise by LITERALLY pasting Star Fox characters onto a near completed, unrelated game. Then they threw in a couple of Arwing levels and called it a day.

It wasn't a bad game though.
I dunno if you saw my updated post where I corrected myself lol
SFC = Slap
SFA = Slap
SFAssault = Fun
I was commenting on Star Fox Adventures, not Assault.

I'd say it was a poor game.

The puzzles weren't entertaining nor challenging, the combat boiled down to mashing A, the boss fights were, as the puzzles, bland and dull.

It's Rare's only failure.

Need for Speed: Carbon. The first game I ever picked up and traded in with no second-thoughts.

How is Twilight Princess a slap in the face?

It's nothing less than a huge fan service to OoT.

For some reason, I just hated the game. I think I would have liked it a ton more if I got the gamecube verison instead of the Wii version though

That doesn't qualify it as a slap in the face.

If you liked OoT and wanted more when you finished it, TP (I have GCN version, it's better IMO) is the biggest fanservice ever, aside from SSB.

I'd rather say that some of Brawl's game mechanics were a slap in the face, but not the entire game itself lol

Unless you were pro at Melee, I'd agree with DL.

Hmm, I'd say just about any 3D sonic game (I stopped playing them after Sonic the Hedgehog 360/PS3), Halo 2 & 3... The reasons are obvious enough.

That's about all I can think of off the top of my head for now. :S

Halo 3 a slap in the face? Man... Y'all got some stiff criteria for a 'slap in the face' game.

one of the biggest slap in the face sequel/remakes that i thought totally sucked gameplay mechanics wise was in fact SSBB, not that i hate the game or anything, but because of the fact that they kinda dumbed it down to the point where a pro player to the SSB series can lose to a complete newbie to the entire series with the jab lock and pity FS that can happen, not only that but they took away all the skill that comes to a fighting game by removing anything that can produce a mindgame, which is what most fighting games are about anyway, faking your opponent into doing what you want them to do and then nailing them while they realize that they made a huge mistake and left themselves open, do note that i found that a few things were good, but overall it was kinda disappointing for someone who has liked the smash bros. series since it first came out on N64.

PS: anyone notice that Fox falls even slower than he did in melee even with metal boots on?

ANY 3d Sonic!? WTF is wrong with you? The Adventure games were great! I say any 3D Sonic game after Sonic Adventures 1 and 2 / Battle are a slap in the face.

Re-read my brawl counter and you have my answer. I dunno why people are blaming the entire game for the mechanics. The game is great, it's just that SOME of the mechanics are the biggest slap.
