A friend of mine somehow accidentally hit the "Delete All" button on her camera. I know it's usually possible to recover deleted photos, so I googled for some picture recovery programs and found a TON of them. Before I searched through and tested many of them, I was wondering if anyone here knows of a picture recovery program that works? It needs to be FREE. Sanyo Camera 2GB SDHC Memory Card |

I don't know of any. But in my opinion, your "friend" should just learn her lesson and q_q |

q_q? Well she's obviously learned her lesson, but there's no reason to give up on recovering the pictures if there's a good chance that she can. I'm particularly interested because there were pictures of me as well.

QQ = T_T = CRYMOAR And as far as I know, there's no way to recover deleted pictures from a CAMERA, but there is if they were deleted from the computer. But then again I'm not the picture-taking type, so I'm not really in-the-know about it. |

@bucsfan - lol no not that kind of friend @Ten Speed - oh. Well I already searched google and found that it's possible if it's on a memory card and not internal memory, but there are so many programs available I thought someone here might have a suggestion on which to use. |

I tried to find one awhile ago, to recover deleted files off of a hard drive. I had no luck finding a free one. If you are going to continue to search, let me know if you find one. Good luck.

I don't understand...were these pictures on the computer or the camera? Otherwise, what would the program do? |

@J.. - I did find a few programs through google, but my friend had lost interest in recovering them and had already taken more pictures/videos, so the files were likely overwritten. I can't remember the exact programs, but I'm sure typing something along the lines of "free recover deleted files from hard drive" into a Google search will give you plenty of options.
The were on the camera's SDHC memory card. The program would be capable of recovering the "deleted" photos. On most cameras, or any form of memory/device or whatever, when you "delete" something, you don't actually delete it. From what I've read, the device simply labels the space that the file/photo took up as "available." So, the picture isn't truly deleted until a new picture is taken that overwrites the file. |
