We regret to inform you that during the Global Warfare match, at Ground Zero, APWC's only female wrestler, Britney, suffered a very severe injury, where the new APWC World Champion, Gus, delivered a Mallicious punt right into Britney's head, as she was down on the mat, during the match. She was immediatly knocked out and eliminated from the match. However, EMT's rushed her out of the arena and she was sent to the local hospital, where she was reported to have been unconscious and was in a coma.
Doctors have said that she is more likely to come out of the coma, rather than die. But Doctors also have said that if she were to come out of the coma, chances would be she would be brain dead, or close to it.
Doctor Ramos stated: "The kick was very severe. Not only did it crack her skull open, but it did some serious damage to the brain. She will be having serious brain surgery immediatly. We managed to stop the blood from pouring, but Britney had lost a lot of blood, which is why she is in a deep coma. We are hoping for the best, but noone walks out of a situation like this without a scratch. Britney will 100 % never wrestle again, and it'll be lucky if Britney's brain functions normally, because her brain will, unfortunantly, never be the same again."
We at APWC Headquarters send our deepest concerns and condolenses to Britney and Britney's family. Charges will not be pressed, but APWC has promised to pay for all of the medical bills, etc.
Leon Roberts went out to say, "We, at APWC, are all about being violent, fighting, seeing who the better man is, and mainly having fun ... but when a situation gets deadly, that's where I draw the line. Obviously no violence is tolerated to this extent, but I've made the desicion to allow the wrestlers to keep fighting the way they have been doing, but they are doing it all for Britney. Get well, Britney! We love you and we miss you!"
APWC will have a personal update on Britney's condition and how her surgery went come Saturday, January 24th, on APWC's pilot show: Defiance.
Stay tuned for more updates, as soon as we get them!
