October 19th 2008 - Well, as I'm sure you all noticed, Adversity is having some issues. We randomly converted to Zetaboards and lost nearly everything. All our old codes, including our AC, is completely gone and never to return. Not only that, but our skin disappeared with it, though I luckily have the images saved in my Photobucket account. For now I am just trying to get AV looking decent again so we can re-open. Also I will be searching for some new codes to replace the old ones. It may take a while, but I want to thank you all for being here and supporting AV during this. I know it sucks xP Also, thanks everyone who's helped me so far, I can't tell you all how much I appreciate this. -Koz. |
-How to make tables work in Zetaboards. -Money code that works, Dae supplied me with 2 but both of them don't appear to work. That's it for now. I will add things to the list as I think of them though, so keep checking in! |

D E F E N I T I O N S

Alphas - Always mated. Leaders. The Gnascor leaders are usually the biggest, the strongest, the best. The alpha male or female who claims first will not choose a mate unless they are worthy of carrying on the superior genes of that wolf.

Betas - Usually mated, though not need. Gnascor likes mated pairs because it is easier for mates to speak and decide things. They are advisers, best friends. Trusted they are. Usually the wisest of the adult wolves.

Deltas - Usually mated but not necessary. Running errands, counting the prey and making sure the small details are taken care of. Finding new land is also a key for Deltas to watch for. They also make suggestions for apprentices and mentors for the young wolves. Run the pack if both the Alphas and Betas are not able too.

Warriors - The ones that protect the pack. They are usually big wolves and well muscled, but quick and skinny wolves are also welcome. They fight off intruders, guard the borders, and basically make sure the pack is safe. In times of peice they are on hunting duties. At least three warriors are always out in the territory watching for intruders. They are led by a Head Warrior and s/he is the one that assigns mentors and makes up the teams of wolves. Teams are made up of two to three wolves that work perfect and whose abilities and personalities work well together. The Head Warrior will report to the Delta, and if something of intense need comes up they report straight to the alphas.

Hunters - These are the wolves that hunt for the pack. All wolves hunt, but these are the ones that are the most skilled and gather the most food for the pack when the other wolves cannot go on a massive hunt. They are run by the Head Hunter. S/he assigns the new Hunters to the mentors. They also make the plains and lead the hunt unless the Alpha or higher ranks are along. The Head Hunter will always report all new ideas, problems, and oppinions straight to the Deltas who will then report to the Alpha. If the problem is big enough, they can and will go straight to the Alpha.

Scouts - These wolves are those that usually the fastest. If the alphas have to sent a message to someone, want an update on the neighboring pack or a small camp of loners, they sent a Scout. Usually holding great stealth or the powers of invisibilty, they are swift and silent. They can double as warriors or hunters and are usually the ones to guard the Barlume Caves that the Gnascors call home. They are led by a Head Scout. S/he will speak up for which Scout is best for a certain 'mission'. They, like Hunters and Warriors, they report to the Deltas, and if something particularly important thye will head straight to the alphas.

Apprentices - Young wolves a year old that begin their training. They choose which part they want to become, Hunter, Warrior, or Scout. They get a mentor after the Alpha, Beta, Delta, and the Head of the chosen rank have discussed it thoroughly. They stay apprentices until they have received all the knowledge they can from their mentor.

Pup Caretaker - A pup sitter to put it simply. The one who stays behind to watch the young pup if the pack goes hunting. Usually only one and usually a female, they are deeply respected for the position, even if it is not a high one.

Elders - The oldest of the wolves and usually the wisest. They are sometimes called Storytellers because of the lore they spin about the past. Sometimes they are Alphas who have stepped down and offer a voice to help a new alpha.

Breeders - Breeding, pregnant, or newly birthing females. Those with pups cannot hunt or fight, are not allowed to until the pups are old enough to stay in the den with the pup caretaker.

Exiles - Those cast out of the pack. Always known for Gnascor outcasts, three scars mark the left cheek below the eye. Cast out for murder without cause, going against the alphas words, or some other extreme reason, other wolves usually stay away. if the Gnascor pack has thrown a wolf out, they have usually done a crime other alphas would not want repeated in their own packs.

______________________________________

>> T H E . E X T R A . I N F O R M A T I O N

Holding the name of Gnascor, these wolves are kind and strong. Their name is a Latin word that means to live, to survive, to thrive. And that is what they do. Usually large wolves, but quick on their paws, their catlike grace and unusually night eyesight, they are a force to be reckoned with. They do, however, enjoy a good fight and will never back down. They are loyal and believe in their laws. They do not allow other wolves into their territories without making sure the one is worthy. No one crosses Gnascor just to cross. They are brutal when one of their own breaks a law. That is why they have Exile as a rank. They will allow for no upheaval of authority because it will set the pack on edge, and thus, risk it's safety with the other packs. They, are, though, fair. They will give you time to explain yourself and go through the evidence before a choice is made.

_______________________________________

>> T H E . T R A D I T I O N S

The Silence - After a wolf dies, be it a newly born pup or an old elder, the pack lifts muzzles to the sky to give a low howl to inform the whole pack of the death. Then silence. No one speaks, whimpers, snarls, or fights during this time. They gather a meal and feast in honor of the deceased. At midnight, they bury the wolf and howl a final goodbye to help welcome to soul of their pack mate into the realm beyond. The Silence stretches till the light of dawn. During the time, one comforts themself. Thinking about the passed wolven. Coming to terms really.

_______________________________________

>> G O D S . W E . S P E A K . B Y

Lord Lupercus - He is one of the many Gods that has come from the White and the Black, the first wolves. Son of them like all the other Gods, he is the main one to talk to in the Gnascor pack. One in many, the Gnascor wolves single him out because he is supposed to be the first born of the White and Black. Cousin to the God Fenris, mated to the Goddess Soma, and brother to the God Sverrir, he is leader of life, of males, of strength, and the sun.

Lady Nox - The Goddess. No one knows where Lady Soma came from. Not related to any Gods from White and Black, she is a mystery. Mated to Lupercus, she is a representation of pups, like, the moon, the spirit, death, and all things feminine.

Sverrir - Brother to Lupercus, he is ruler over Hell, and is the figure of Darkness, Destruction, the Seven Sins, 'Evil', and the horror in all of us.

________________________________________

>> T H E . R U L E S . W E . F O L L O W

Rule One - Follow the orders of the Alpas, Betas, Deltas, and the Head of your rank. They are your lifeline and will help you stay alive.

Rule Two - No overhunting and do not destroy any land, trees, rocks, or animals for game or for practice. You hunt to eat and only as much as you need.

Rule Three - No wolf under the age of a year is allowed to hunt or to fight. They will remain untrained until this age and stay close the the Caves. They will not wander alone without an adult. Every young wold will be taught the legends and the rules in their first year of life.

Rule Four - No one will head out on their own unless they are a Scout on a mission, or given permission by the Alphas. Two wolves should always be the minimum. It makes the group safer and more efficient.

Rule Five - There will always be at least three Warriors in the caves and at least three out in the territory. All weaker wolves will be protected.

Rule Six - No fighting with a packmate without the permission of the Alphas. You must have a reason. Fighting over food will cause punishment of both wolves, or the one that attacked the other. No wolf will be punished for defending themself unless the attacked wolf provoked the attacker. the Alphas or Betas will watch over the fight to makes sure no one is injured to bad. No killing will happen in the pack. No fighting over ranks.

Rule Seven - All wolves are responcible for feeding pups, Breeders, Elders, and wolves too injured to hunt themselves. These wolves will be fed before the rest of the pack eats. If a kill is bad far from the Caves, then one or two apprentices will put aside enough for the Elders, Breeders, pups, and injured wolves and run it back to camp before they can feed.

Rule Eight - Pups will never be killed. They are the life of the pack and are to be taught and loved no matter if they are unwanted or the product of a rape.

Rule Nine - Wolves will not leave the territory nor visit another pack without a reason and the permission of the Alphas.

Rule Ten - Only the Alpha or Betas may allow wolves into the territory or to accept wolves into the pack. The Alphas get the final decision if the Betas allow a wolf to enter.

Rule Eleven - All exiled wolves are to be chased away from the pack. If they return, they are to be attack. If they press the matter, the pack wolves have permission to kill them. They are never to be accepted back into the pack unless the crime they were found guilty off was not commited by the wolf.

Rule Twelve - If a pack wolf is injured they will be given time to heal and then their injuries will decide their new rank. If the injury will not affect the previous rank, they will return to that rank. If the injury is to severe, they will be moved to Elder or Pup Caretaker ranks.

Rule Thirteen - Hunts are never to involve just one wolf. The option of injury to that wolf and no one to tell the pack is something Gnascor will not allow.

Rule Fourteen - If a wolf wishes to take a mate they must come to the Alphas to ask if they can mate. Also, if the two mated wolves want pups, they must ask the Alphas for permission. The pack can only support one litter a breeding season. Rarely two are allowed. If a wolf is found to have a pups without permission, the pups will be born and then the wolves involved will be punished and demoted to the lowest rank not Exile. The pups will not be punished since it was not their fault.

Rule Fifteen - If a wolf wants a higher rank, come to the Alphas. They have the right to approve or deny your request. It is not prefered for a wolf to ask for a rank since the Alpha will give a deserving wolf the rank if they beleive the wolf deserves it. If a wolf wishes to be alpha, they can challenge. If they loose, they are demoted, and if they proceed to cause a stir, they will be cast out of the pack or named an Exile if they do something that would hurt the pack.

[/dohtml] |
