October 19th 2008 - Well, as I'm sure you all noticed, Adversity is having some issues. We randomly converted to Zetaboards and lost nearly everything. All our old codes, including our AC, is completely gone and never to return. Not only that, but our skin disappeared with it, though I luckily have the images saved in my Photobucket account. For now I am just trying to get AV looking decent again so we can re-open. Also I will be searching for some new codes to replace the old ones. It may take a while, but I want to thank you all for being here and supporting AV during this. I know it sucks xP Also, thanks everyone who's helped me so far, I can't tell you all how much I appreciate this. -Koz. |
-How to make tables work in Zetaboards. -Money code that works, Dae supplied me with 2 but both of them don't appear to work. That's it for now. I will add things to the list as I think of them though, so keep checking in! |

However, she has quite the athletic body beneath the unkempt fur. Her muscle and strength lie within the long legs that carry her. Many times she has been mistaken for a male due to her slight boyishness. A majority of the fur on her head, back, and neck is long and wild. It forms somewhat of a Mohawk. The fur on a most of her body is a mixture of soft browns, almost orange in the right light. As you reach her paws and her underside the brown fades into a cream color. In some places, such as her “mane” the two colors mix. Her eyes are bright green, almost acidic looking. The only distinguishing marks on the female are on her ears and eyes. The tips of her ears are the color of the inside of a plum. Further toward the middle of the ear the color turns violent then fades to black. Her eyes are outlined in purple, giving the look of eye shadow. There is another dash of violet on her front right paw, however it is so light that it is hardly noticeable. Harlem carries herself with grace and elegance, but doesn’t take away from her predatorial and antagonistic look.
Personality: Her build may be on the dainty side, but she is far from being delicate or fragile. She may not have been built for strength, but she makes up for it in speed. Regardless, her pride is big and extends far past her size to make her believe she can do just as much as the next wolf. Though, somewhere in her mind she may realize that she has her limits. Don't think anything is going to get to her, because she lets it fly right over her head. Just, whatever. However, at the same time, she is easily offended. But you won't find her spitting venom at the other party defensively. No. She finds it easier to give you the cold shoulder until you do right by her. Her mouth she is very skilled at running, she thinks of it as an art really. She's a wild child at heart. If it’s dangerous, if it’s scary, if it’s off limits then Harlem is all over it just for the thrill. What's the point in living if you’re going to play on the safe side? Right? The word impossible isn't in this female's vocabulary. If she wants to accomplish something, she will. She likes causing chaos and playing mind games, and is always curious to see how far she can push someone's limits before they return fire. She is more intelligent than she makes herself out to be. There is a time and a place to play around and another to be serious. One thing she is good with is honesty. If she doesn’t like you, she is very quick to say so.
History: Harlem’s previous pack was run by her father, a wolf who had little experience in what he was doing. His mind was too, let’s say, promiscuous, for his job. The land he claimed was dead and desolate. The prey was scarce and the snowfall was heavy, but at one point he saw potential in it. However those ideas of his were abandoned and he was stuck with a pack and a family he didn’t want to take responsibility for. Constantly they went through droughts and famines, and he refused to relocate. Why? Fear. The male was afraid of what lied beyond the mountain side. However, a year of seasons came and went and the alpha saw the light when two pack members and one of his pups died from emaciation.
That following year they traveled further than necessary in search for food. The whole pack was severely underweight, and the pups were worse off. Harlem and her remaining three siblings were older by this time, but they struggled just the same. The famine that year became so bad that the wolves were beginning to go crazy. They didn’t know what to do so they looked to their alpha for answers. However he was at a loss as well. When he started everything, he had potential…but now he was running his pack right into the dirt. The fact was he did not know the first thing about leadership, and this was a time when he needed all the information he could get. That night, the alpha deserted the pack. It was uncharacteristic of any leader, but he was nothing but a coward.
At this point Harlem’s mother was to step up and keep the pack together. She did all she could, but her attempts were trivial. Under her, the pack grew restless. Another one of her children died, now all that remained were Harlem and the oldest male, Syndox. Harlem was almost positive that she would be the next to go. The female wasn’t all that large to begin with and now it seemed like her body was eating her from the inside. However she was wrong. Her mother was, unfortunately the next to go. Extreme hunger, harsh temperatures and life itself became too hard on the alphess. With her passing, the last strings holding the pack together were broken. Friends started to become enemies and back stabbing occurred. Through the whole ordeal, Harlem sat back and watched. In a twisted way, she found it amusing.
Syndox, at this time, took hold of the pack. He was a greater step up from his father, but no better in leading the pack. He managed to get them all through the famine, but the rules changed. He became much like a dictator. Killing would take place without a second thought. He taught the pack that weaklings would never survive in the world. Harlem, however, refused to listen to Syndox’s words. The wolf had no business trying to run a pack. This sparked animosity between the siblings.
It began with childish antics, like being pushed down to the position of omega and then smart-mouthing back and forth. Then the pushing around began. In his pack, Harlem was at the lowest level meaning she was subject to ridicule. But you can only push someone so far, and Harlem had a low tolerance level. Someone was going to pay for all of this, and it wouldn't be her pack mates. Rage was boiling within her and the image of her brother's mangled body was vivid in her mind
That very night a fight broke out and the pack was gathered to watch the bloody scene. To them it was pointless, the victor was already named. Syndox out weighed Harlem. He had a killer instinct and knew how to use it. However, brute strength and killer instincts didn't always win battles. Hatred festered within Harlem along with a thirst for blood, yet she didn't let it cloud her mind. That was her brother’s down fall. She fought and won that battle, the pack and title of alpha would belong to her, but she refused. She would be damned if she led a pack of, “Worthless mutts who couldn’t do anything for themselves.” Harlem licked that sweet read liquid from her lips and turned her back on the pack, wishing they would all rot in hell.
For months Harlem traveled by herself, taking what she need when she needed it. Eventually she crossed paths with a place called Adversity, where her new story would hopefully begin.
RP example: The sun hung low, bleeding colors of red orange and purple into the sky. It continued making its way down, ever so slowly making its way behind the trees. Then darkness crept into the sky and day had turned into night. From her spot atop a flat boulder she had watched it all, every second. She opened her jaws and let out a long quiet yawn before curling into a crescent shape, and letting her head fall against her paws.
After they had been accepted into the pack Lithium had separated from Arsenic. She understood her stupidity for being upset over that 'little' fight of theirs. But what Syn had said about the opportunities had made her hot, so she wanted to be by herself. Why couldn't she have the same opportunities as her brother? I mean...why was he so special all of a sudden? But it didn't matter. She didn't want to be here, she was only here because she loved Arsenic so much...They may have been accepted into the pack but she wouldn't accept it. This fractious little bitch would forever be an outsider, where she was comfortable.
Arsenic sat quietly within the forest surrounding the clearing. He had been following Lithium since she decided to just walk off without a word. That's how he was, when Lithium wanted to be alone he always hid somewhere and watched her. He had to keep track of her, because she couldn't keep track of herself. Lithium stretched out then slowly sat up. Her eyes drifted in her brother's direction, though she did not turn her head. She didn't want him to know that she knew he was there.
"You just never quit..." She muttered. Arsenic honestly thought she never knew that he was watching over her. He may have blended in with the night, but those bright green eyes of his made him stick out like a sore thumb. With a sigh Lithium hoped off her rock and began to walk, with out a clue as to where she was going. It didn't matter, as long as she kept herself busy she'd be just peachy.

[/dohtml] |
