Matt looked behind him once again, the feeling of someone watching him making him nervous. His brother had been gone for a few days and nothing had happened to make him so nervous, but he was still jumpy. With a deep breath Matt shook his head and continued to walk down the slightly busy street. It's nothing. I'm just being paranoid is all. He was after Alex, no ones going to harm me now. The thought relaxed him as he stuck his hands into the pockets of his jean jacket, looking for the store that he knew was close. The music store was the only place that would help him forget everything that was going on. A small smile appeared on his face as he saw the windows filled with instruments. He pulled the door open, ignoring the feeling that still prickled on his neck, like eyes watching him, and walked inside.

The Epitome of Innocence
Leah crouched on the top of a roof, watching her prey go inside the music shop. her eyes were a dull, cold, black. They had been ever since...whatever his name was...had been killed. She'd starved herself, cried more than ever before, and finally, she was giving in. Her morals and rationality were far away, living in LaLa land. She, however, was intent on that boy. That boy...with the blonde hair...who looked so much like her...whoever it had been... She wanted him, but more than that, she wanted his sweet blood. So she sat, waited, watched, finally jumping down and walking across the street, cars honking at her, as she shoved her pale hands into her jean jacket pockets, the red dress visible as her jacket was open, her hair tumbling messily around her cheeks, and her feet clad in a pair of black chucks. But her clothing was not important. What was important was the boy, just inside, just there... She stopped outside the door and swung to the side, leaning casually against the wall and staring up at the star-speckled sky as she tried to remember her story...

Matt walked slowly through the store, picking up a book filled with music, flipping through it and setting it back down. He made his way to the back, past the replacement strings and assortment of guitar picks, to where the instruments were displayed. He smiled fondly at the guitars that were placed on the wall, wishing to hold one, knowing that he would never be able to buy any of them. With a sigh he turned his back to them, walking back the way he came. Even his love for music couldn't help him forget.

Leah closed her eyes, taking in a deep breath of the fresh air. Air. Yes, that was what she needed. Time to think. She took in another breath, but he had returned, and her eyes deepened in color. So sweet, delicious... She turned to look at him, plastering a startled expression on her face. "Oh...I thought the music store was closed?" she said, acting as human as she could possibly manage. Then she smiled, pushing off the wall and extending a hand. "A fellow music-lover, I see. I'm Leah," she introduced herself accidentally. She'd forgotten her speech. Now she was winging it.

Matt looked at the girl who was now standing in front of him. He gave a suprised smile, taken away by her beauty, something about her seemed familiar, though he knew he had never seen her before. It didn't take long for him to place the familiarity. Her statuesque features and pale skin matched that of Alex's girl; the one that had saved him. A small sliver of fear shot up his spine, but he forced it down. Seeing as how I'm not unconcsious or dead then I'm not in too much danger it would seem. He thought to himself, though there was a slight hesitation as he held out his hand to take hers. "Leah. Thats an beautiful name. I'm Matt." He said, being as friendly as he could manage.

Leah smiled. "Thank you. Matt...short for Matthew, I assume?" she asked, not waiting for an answer as she released his hand and stepped away. "Where are you headed? I'll walk you there," she offered, leaving out the part about drinking his blood until he died. Once more, her rational side was far off, nowhere near in her time of need, and at the moment, she didn't particularly care.

Matt nodded to her first question, his mouth opening slightly to answer her next. He wasn't sure, but something about her seemed to pull him in, as if entrancing him. He felt like he shouldn't accept her offer to walk him, yet he found himself agreeing, and wanting her too. "Sure. I was headed to go eat something." He said, pointing behind him. "It's just a few blocks over. It's my brothers favorite place that he showed me." He turned to walk in that direction, hesitating to see if she was walking with him.

Leah followed him, smiling, easily matching his pace. "That restaurant down a few blocks, right? I know a shortcut. Come on," she turned into the next alley. It wasn't a dead end, which meant he might believe she was taking him somewhere, and it was longer than most, which meant nobody would notice her deed. "This way," she called out, turning her head to smile and make sure he was following as she led him to the center and stopped, peering around her quickly. Dark, empty, not even a kitten to be seen. Then she quickly bumped her eyes to the sky. "Pretty night, isn't it?" she asked as he came to stand next to her.

Matt followed her into the alley, the hair on the back of his neck standing on end. He wasn't quite sure why he was following the mysterious girl, but he knew he couldn't turn around now. Something about her was tantalizing, soomething that he couldn't refuse. He smiled as he stopped next to her, staring up at the sky along with her. Through the buildings he could see a few stars peaking through the light whispy clouds. "Yes, indeed it is. Night is my favorite time out of any." He agreed quietly.

"Mine too," Leah whispered, smiling as her fangs extended and she grabbed him, cupping a hand over his mouth so he couldn't scream while she killed him. She held him with her iron grip, biting into the skin on his neck. A moment later, her mouth was filled with the sweet, tangy, almost gooey, liquid that she had stayed away from for so long. She melted, but held onto him tightly as her poison seeped into him. First it would make him numb. Then, if she stopped, it would turn him. But she wouldn't stop. Not until he was dead.

Matt's eyes went wide and he began to protest when Leah's strong hand gripped his mouth. Beneath the fear one thought ran past his mind. Shit. I knew it. In a failed attempt he grabbed the hand that gripped his mouth, trying to pry it away, but he quickly gave up when she didn't budge. After that he didn't even bother to kick, even through his fear he knew he would not be able to win. Just like in the werhouse the burning pain seared in his neck as her teeth pierced the skin, making it's way slowly downward, paralizing him in burning pain. Tears welled up in the corners of his eyes at the pain, his body going limp in her strong grip.

Leah closed her eyes, savoring the sweet taste in her mouth. But her rationality was slowly returning. Wait...why am I...biting him..? Oh my god! I...my eyes... she thought to herself, catching a glimpse in a broken mirror on the ground. Blood red. She pulled her teeth out of him, letting them return to normal in her mouth. "Matt..?" she asked, her voice no more than a hoarse whisper. But he was out cold. "Oh no, oh no..." she murmured, scooping him up into her arms and running towards town, headed for her house.

Matt cried out in pain, unable to tell where he was, knowing that he was in her.. what was her name?... arms. Once again in the last few days he could feel the fire searing through him, torturing him to no end. What the hell did I do for this? He thought to himself, a tear rolling down the side of his face.
