i have got 3 albums of DMX Grand Champ Was Lame I Like Its Dark And Hell Is Hot tho but im saying he isnt the best just cause its ure oppinion doesnt mean i have to go along with it |

itz mor than 1 persons opinion which makes it in general popular opinion therfor itz mor correct. thers about 5 ppl who always make it onto the greatest of all-time list an they r Tupac - He has a good case for the greatest and comes 2nd. Biggie - Should have no case and doesnt even make it in my top 10. DMX - Has done 5 albums, all went straight to number 1 in the album charts, is a total all-rounder and not let commercial hold him back in any way, greatest number 1. Nas - Is a great artist, Streets Deciple was hot but over-rated, produced 1 or 2 shit albums apparently, made up for it thought obviously by making popular opinion on this list. Eminem - The greatest white rapper of all-time, if he had of kept up the pace of his first album he would of been the best but he fell off horribly. basicly DMX's two weakest albums in my opinion are Flesh Of My Flesh, Blood Of My Blood, it wuz kinda bland except Slippin' which iz brilliant, Grand Champ which wuz jus basicly a hype album an wuz too much... needed 2 relax

Following the deaths of Tupac Shakur and the Notorious B.I.G., DMX took over as the reigning, undisputed king of hardcore rap. He was that rare commodity: a commercial powerhouse with artistic and street credibility to spare. His rapid ascent to stardom was actually almost a decade in the making, which gave him a chance to develop the theatrical image that made him one of rap's most distinctive personalities during his heyday. Everything about DMX was unremittingly intense, from his muscular, tattooed physique to his gruff, barking delivery, which made a perfect match for his trademark lyrical obsession with dogs. Plus, there was substance behind the style; much of his work was tied together by a fascination with the split between the sacred and the profane. He could move from spiritual anguish one minute to a narrative about the sins of the streets the next, yet keep it all part of the same complex character; sort of like a hip-hop Johnny Cash. i jus put up an article dat says hes the undisputed king of hardcore rap. basicly dis iz the deal in the eyez of a majority of ppl DMX iz an all rounder, he duznt fall short on many thingz Nas iz the best lyracist of all time Pac iz the most influential mc of all time an has respect from everybody, as a person hes mor respected than any rapper. so basicly they all win big on alotta thingz so itz hard 2 put 1 of them as the greatest, so it turns out as ppl sidin with ther favorite artists who r all ther favorite artists cuz ther good. |
