if you look at how his albums are rated the decline is noticeable. Its Dark And Hell Is Hot: 5 Mics (arguebly the greatest hip hop album of all-time) Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood: 4.5 Mics (a classic 90's hip hop album again) ...And Then There Was X: 4 Mics (a commercial classic selling 6-7 million copies) The Great Depression: 3.5 Mics (considered a flop by DMX, even though it moved 3 mil) Grand Champ: 2.5 Mics (a horrible decline, again selling less at around 2 million) Year of the Dog...Again: 3 Mics (an improvement from grand champ, Xs first major flop) Still impressive. |

3 million isn't a flop for any other artist except DMX, whenever somebody else does 3 million its an achievement, but then again 3 million isn't great when your arguebly the greatest of all time. |

His rep is fucked up thats for sure, but he has always been like this which is annoying, i mean damn he was gettin accused of rape and found with crack pipes and all kinda shit, and that was at the height of his fame, but now everything he does is reported in a slightly different negative way, the media turned on him. |

Yupp, he lives a hard lifestyle, hes not the type of person who being famous suits, a lot of fake annoying people come around you when you get big, you get a little army of "yes men" who say everything you do is amazing, even when it sucks, thats when your judgement starts goin' and your music gets weaker. |

Seriously DMX is no where near the greats of Hip Hop ...hes a good rapper no doubt..but being Raw/Deep is good but not good enough if u dont do it with enough skill. and theres alot of better hip hop albums better than "IDAHIH" |

He is important or course hes a solid rapper, i dont hate him, but in perspective hes not as skilled as alot of other rappers, IDAHIH is a great album no denying it but it didnt have the same impact as alot of other hip hop albums. Biggies debut album along with Snoops had more impact. |

Comes down to personal prefference with him at the end of the day, some people just don't like his delivery due to his flow being off at times, i don't mind that personally, i'm a big fan of his first 4 albums and everythin before them too, 5th album = garbage, 6th album.. most incosistant album ever. |
