My first review is on the long-awaited Clipse album, Hell Hath No Fury

Coming off a 4-year hiatus, The Clipse has been facing the industry politiks and upper-level management in a negative light. However, The Clipse would refuse to sit around and allow themselves to be silenced by their label, dropping quality mixtapes in We Got It For Cheap vol.1 and We Got It For Cheap vol.2 along with their crew, The Re-Up Gang which features Sandman and Liva. With all of the setbacks trying to get their album out, Malice & Pusha T (Clipse) finally get the chance to give fans and the streets what they've been waiting for since their amazing debut, with a dose of lyrical crack in Hell Hath No Fury

1. We Got It For Cheap Intro - Pusha and Malice come out swinging on the very first track on the album. Their In & Out flow is simply one the best hip-hop, with just as much effectiveness, if not more than Styles P. & Jadakiss. The Neptunes sets the tempo to perfection and keeps you wondering what's next.

2. Momma I'm So Sorry - A different style of Neptunes on this track that ties in nicely with the Clipse out-of-the ordinary flow.

3. Mr. Mee Too - 1 of the hottest singles to come out in 06'. Even Pharell kicks a hot verse. Regardless of being a commerical track, The Clipse go hard and let listeners know that rappers are trying to follow in their footsteps.

4. Wamp Wamp (Wat it do) - The 2nd single off the album, this track was originally supposed to be Foxy Brown's for her unreleased album "Black Roses." The beat got leaked, most likely by the Clipse, and that pretty much solidified their chances of getting away with another hot beat by the Neptunes. Despite slim thug's sub-par verse, he still is a good match for the hook. The Clipse flaunt their styles on this track and let listeners know that you can brag about what you got at times and still be lyrical.

5. Ride Around Shining - Easily one of the best beats on the album, Pharell & Hugo (neptunes) show their vast range of creativity with harp-like sounds and a beat pattern that flex their production muscle. As expected, The Clipse do the beat justice.

6. Dirty Money - A fun track with lo-fi guitar plucks where Clipse are trying to let the ladies know that as long as they're able to provide them with the luxuries out of life then it shouldn't matter if the money is dirty or not.

7. Hello New World - With a beat different than the usual Neptunes you may hear with other artists or on the radio, The Clipse take it back to the basics that made their first album so good. Pharell sounds very off-beat on the hook but it may have been done intentionally to make the track sound different and awkward. The hook will grow on some, for others it will be annoying. Despite that, the Clipse show their lyrical prowess once again and show fans that they're still very hungry on the mic.

8. Keys Open Doors - One of my personal favorites on the album, the Neptunes show that they're not just big-name producers and that they earned the right to be called one of the hottest production teams in hip-hop today. With a very grimey, underground sound, the Clipse take advantage of the production and unleash Fury onto the mic line for line.

9. Ain't Cha - A tad bit on the commercial side, this track seems to be made for the people who are used to hearing the up-tempo Neptunes they hear on the radio and buy albums based on that. Even tho Clipse are still accurate & precise with the wordplay, this track will most likely be seen as a filler due to the corny hook and lukewarm guest appearance from the Re-Up Gang.

10. Trill - This song is very hit or miss. If you are into something that sounds like you're stuck on a level in Street Fighter then you may want to skip this.

11. Chinese New Year - A very raw sounding Neptunes reminiscent from the 90's era with hits such as "Oh No by Noreaga" this track will have listeners respecting the fact that even with the demands for watered-down production by poppy-fans at times, The Neptunes don't forget their roots and still experiment with any and everything. If you loved Neptunes hits from the "Golden Era" (90's) then you'll love this.

12. Nightmares - A soothing way to end the album, Bilal lends the Clipse some soulful vocals to help paint the pictures of compelling crime tales that come back to haunt Malice and Pusha. The Clipse spit realness and drop jewels on this final track to an album that will be seen as a classic over time.

In Conclusion,
Lyrically the Clipse picked up right where they left off as the album is filled with quotables and lines that will be relevant to the listener in some way, shape or form.

With the whole album being produced by The Neptunes, it's easy to see why every rapper and their mother are saving their pennies for a Neptunes track; even though the Clipse are first in line to get the raw/uncut type production before any other artist, states Pharell. It is easy to see why this album received a XXL and is getting rave reviews on authentic hip-hop forums everywhere. Hands down The Clipse prove to be one of the best hip-hop groups today after this strong sophmore release. Not to take away from The Neptunes, because The Clipse could not have done this well without them.

Hell Hath No Fury is definitely worth your money and should be added to your hip-hop library/catalog immediately. I strongly advise you support it and refrain from burning something pure to hip-hop.
