Ready to Meet Him ![]() X was the first rap artist who made two CDs on Number 1 Billboard on the same year and this CD is not bad, its a classic. It's still grimy, gritty, and dirty like the his last work but still cannot touch it. On the other hand, this has X's most powerful song in his career, Slippin'. Slippin' was the song that inspired alot of true hip hop fans and it was a great, emotional message. As we journey through this amazing classic CD, you shall learn how good this CD was. 1. My Niggas (SKIT) - A good intro and definitely says alot of N words but its hot. Also pretty good start. 2. Bring Your Whole Crew - After a lil warm-up song, X quickly turn into a monster and spit two hardcore verses on a lovely production from PK. This song was just like X Is Comming and the hook was great, nothing was wrong on this track. 3. Pac man (SKIT) 4. Ain't No Way - X was dominating in the 98-99s so yeah, there was no way you could stop him. The production sounded pretty good but i really liked the hook since it was catchy and the 3 verses was nice my fav line has to be this: "And nigaz know, who the best is The dog, DMX is the rest is or might as well be helpless I wreck this cuz when I wreck shit I might snatch a niggaz necklace Then go from like midnight to breakfast" 5. We Don't Give A Fuck - is this rap's favorite song title name? haha anyways i liked the production. Styles and X was doing their thing n Jadakiss was great on the hook: "Uhh, used to be my dogg, you was in my left titty Screamed RYDE OR DIE, I thought you would die wit me Found out you a bitch, you can't even ryde wit me Now it's a war, and you ain't on the side wit me" Pretty much like a thugged-out song. 6. Keep Your Shit The Hardest - God i loved the production and those drums, they were from Swizz Beatz. X is doing his daily thing, spittin nice lyrics and that stuff we love. 7. Coming From - Mary J teams up with X and this song was one of the highlights of the album. Lyrical, Emotional, Powerful. 8. It's All Good - Twisted song and it's a song about having sex with bitches and it's not like a regular 1 it sounds a little more psycho on it. Addicted hook and I would say most X fan would know this song: It's All Good, It's All Right! 9. The Omen - Now we get into the darkside, with x and the damien! It's the same thing with the first 1 from It's Dark and Hell is Hot, they're talking and then later on trouble happens. This 1 had a very dark production and the hook was twisted with Marilyn Manson. 10. Slippin' - "Ay yo I'm slippin' I'm fallin' I can't get up" - X's most poetic song, Classic just listen to it and you'll be blown away. 11.No Love 4 Me - This was X's 2nd single i think and it was good but just weak compare to other X's hot singles like rr anthem, we right here.. etc. Anyways the hook was on task, production sounded above average, Nice Verses from Drag and X. in conclusion: isn't much of a weak song 12. Dogs For Life - Another deep song and I love this song alot, very great production by Grease and it's about X is only rollin with people he knows: "I'm always surrounded by dogs, for the love only niggas I fuck wit is thugs nigga what" 13. Blackout - Alot of guests on this song and everyone was great on it from Jada to X. 14. Flesh of my Flesh, Blood of my Blood - YEAH!!! this was a sick song right here! THE HOOK WAS NICE! and the verses was catchy and you can't get tired of this song! 15. Heat - Sounded pretty dark at first and im guessing this song is like about robbing or something gang related. Anyways the hook was good too but i wished it had some swear words in it .16. Ready To Meet Him - This song scared me with the background. Another Powerful song with X and the lord. I have to tell you, everytime it a song with him n the lord, it's always powerful and hardly ever bad. Here a example of the lyrics to show its strong: "Lord, you left me stranded, and I don't know why Told me to live my life, now I'm ready to die Ready to fly, I cry, but I shed no tears You told me you would dead those fears, it's been years" Conclusion: Classic, 5/5. 2nd X's best Cd in majority of people having this CD. This CD is very powerful too like its dark and I would say it has more stronger songs than his 3rd. Also X has alot of stand out songs(No Weak Ones.) on this which why i really wanted this CD when i heard Its All Good, Slippin', Coming From. For a lil warning, this CD can be scary sometimes with the powerful lyrics, and Ready To Meet Him had a very spiritual background and it might sound scary in your opinion! and then again, if you never heard of DMX's Work get his 1-3rd album! |
