"Why dont you go into Tescos and start witnessing instead of some Club or something!? Like the poeple about there need as much help and brought the Word of God??? But maybe you wudnt get the enjoyment there as you wud get in a club?"

ok im really sorry but i wouldnt go to witness in either...simply because in either cases you would have to push your religion on people.. and that is never recepted well!

good story but it does bring things to the extremes... again i think it is ok for someone to go to a club, if only just to dance and be with friends, not to drink, not to smoke, have sex, take drugs... as sooo many people think happens in a club.. when infact it doesnt!!! can i actually ask... if people havent been to a club, what do you really think goes on there? its painted to be such a bad place yet in reality some arent!

i guess it comes down to the rules and regulations thing again... if a non christian friend asks you to go and you say "no i cant... its bad for me and wrong and a den of sin and inequity" theyll think.. ok fair play.. doesnt sound like fun there how stuffy!! if you say "aye sure.." ..you go.. you dont drink.. still have fun.. and still remain true to your faith i think that screams more to that person! just coz you go to a club does not meean you have tp partake in what you think goes on there!!!

my humble opinion and i know most of you will agree with raymie so go for it, im just typing my thoughts and experiences i guess...

personally.. yes! if it was to prove to someone that the Bible is not rules and regulations.. that Christians can be self controled and still have fun then id be happy enough with it! but then others vary in opinions! this is mine and from where i am! :)

you have to push your religion on people!? Then how can you justify going to clubs if you arent even going to witness, instead your partaking of the sins of the people, partaking in the sins of this world, and like Lot and his wife, your someday going to have to get out of such places before God i do believe will take a dealing with people hindering his work in such a manner, and bringing such utter disgrace to His Holy, precious and just name.

But yehh its ok to go to a club! but wat if someone isnt as strong willed as you ... and take a wee drink ... well and tat could lead to a few more. You gotta realise that just because you can do it doesnt mean anyone else cna do it, yet because of your actions, you could lead people into such situations , because they think ... hes a Christian, so if he can do it why cant I, and that persons life could end up in utter ruins because of your testimony!
Clubs .... are people dancing about to worldly music, alcohol taken by the most, and whatevr else people feel they want to do within such places.

And can i say if you cant subject to the rules and regulations of Gods Word, then how did you ever subject and come under the rule and law of God himself. Thats not christianity. Its to submit ourselves under God and have him as head of our lives, above us, greater than us, and not on equal footing with us.

oh my word!! read what i said before (and im sorry if i sound pissed..its just after another post!)

witness beforehand!! have you not realised the best way to witness is to befriend people!?!?!

i have gone out and taken a wee drink and it ended there! again each to their own!! each circumstance is different, as is each person.. so im not telling you all to go out to clubs.. just trying to broaden your minds a little!!

in the long run, the things you do have to have reasons.. if you go to a club the reason is to have fun, to dance.. not compromise your faith, if you drink and do not drink more than one give your reasons why as in, "i dont want to disrespect the body God gave me!!" im not saying go out, get wasted and tell everyone its ok!!

listen to the radio.. youre listening to worldy music.. unless you dont listen to the radio and listen totally to christian music?

i have gone out with a group of christians and non christians to a club, ive come home.. all of us sober.. ended up talking to three in the morning about theology and the guys we talked to were so interested coz we werent "Bible bashers", we seemed more like one of them.. they were curious as to why we could out and not drink and have fun, where did we get that spirit of not caring about drinking or dancing like some other people but we had a laugh! do u realise how much of an impact it has on people if you're totally against the norm and can tell them why?

...do you know something.. i give up on this topic.. each to their own...ive said my piece.. im tired of banging my head on a wall.

yehh but lol, its like can you not see how you doing that, and like yes you may judge it perfectly ok and all to do that and stuff, but cna you not see by you doing htat, you could lead some sinner into a terrible life of sin and misery!? Like someone could say ... welll theres that fella there hes a Christian and he goes, so i can go too, but maybe that person cant stop at one drink? you kno ... in the end, the world reads us as Christians and not the Bible anymore, so its our duty to have what the bible requires of us portrayed in our lives.

and you said a point "seemed more like one of them" thats flying totally against the face of the point of being a Christian .... a Christian is one separated from the world and the people of the world ie sinners, a person who is changed and a new creature in Christ, you shudnt be seeking to be different from Christians but different from those within the world ... and why? because we have Christ in our lives!
I could quote verses from the bible such as be ye separate type stuff but im sure you know it and dont need me to remind of such verses, how we arent of the world, because if we were the world wud love us but it hates us because we are in Christ .... like Christ himself said the world wud hate us not love us!

And honestly and truthfully, if you can do all that you say you do with a clean conscience and you can stand before God on the day of judgement and He asks you what you done for Him, how you upheld His name, his glory and his majesty and promoted his cause ... then im glad you could use such occasions to try and say thats how you did that. I know personally my conscience would never hold to such a thing and id be ashamed to stand before God and say i fitted in with the crowd so i didnt upset them, didnt want them to think i was a bore, didnt want them to think i was too different from then. I will ave done enuff wrong in my life without adding to it by doing that sorta stuff which i dont need to be doing

but thats the point!!!!!! if you go and show you can have a good time and not drink.. or have one (but explain about knowing your limits) do you not see that it also has an impact? one of the guys we were with drank loads simply to have a good time.. when we went out with him and we asked him why did he drink so much he said he needed it to have fun and asked did we not? we told him we had one and left it at that ..he was shocked coz we had such off the wall fun and it had nothing to do with drinking.. to the point he started having less and less... (telling him financial benefits helped there too! :D )

oh  ... why is everything taken so damn literally!!!! i am not saying be like one of them.. i am saying to come down off our what seems to be high, mighty and righteous pedestals (as that what it seems like to most non christians) and show them we are still human but theres something different!!

..do you know something.. i personally believe each to their own in this case.. each of us are led differently and each of us have our own things to do for God and do you know something.. in the long run we each... by ourselves have to stand before God and talk to Him, explain to Him our ownactions! my mistakes are mine and yours are yours.. so please dont dare to judge me or someone else by what we do.. because sir .. you have no idea of the motives or the reasons..
