I deliberately didn't ask "would you die for your faith?", because well that's a huge statement to be making! Debate away! |

It is a hard one, and one that you cannot really answer until in the situation. But i would sincerely hope that i would die for it. I am 99% sure i would, but really that's not good enough. Sorry for the hard question!! Anyways, I would also like to think that i would die to save someone else's life, but this is even harder, because of our personal views on that person, and if they are a Christian or not. I know all this shouldn't matter, but we do all sin. Thanks for setting up this pole Kyle, it could answer some questions. (dunno why i didn't do it myself.) |

I'd like to think I would but I suppose you can't be 100% certain unless put in the situation. If God isn't worth dying for then nothing is! This life is worthless without Him. If the chance to die for God came along I hope I would consider it a privilege to die for my Lord to show my love for Him. |

I liked the way you used privilege(cough cough), and i would have to agree. |

"To live is Christ and to die is gain." I guess there always is that element of uncertainty, like you wouldn't know unless you were in that situation... but I would really hope that I would be more than willing to lay down my life. Imagine denying God and living on with the guilt and shame.. And how many people might your ultimate sacrifice impact? Such a powerful expression of love for God can bring someone to their knees. These days 'martyr' has almost become a dirty word, with its exploitation in Islam extremism, but in the true sense, martyrdom is standing strong until the end and being willing to give God the most important thing he has given you- your life. |

I heard somethin last week thats sooooo cool. 'we are invincible until God calls us home' like thats so cool, until God wants us to come home we can do anything, and we will be safe, and if we die we're only going home. So Go live your life for God, and dont let fear hinder you from spreading the gospel. If you want to read up on people who have died for their faith, I highly reccommend 'Rachels tears' by Darrell Scott and Beth Nimmo. Its the story of Rachel Joy Scott, who was killed for her faith when she was 17 in the columbine school shooting. I would encourage EVERYONE to read this book. its fantastic, and it will really inspire you to go deeper with God |

I love that book!!!! It made me cry. Oh and DC talk, Jesus Freaks books are class too. All about people all down the generations who were persecuted and killed for their faith. Sounds depressing but it's so uplifting and challenging. |

i watched a video on that a while ago, cried for like an hour after. It's amazing I heard a really strange story once (dunno if this is true) A man walked into a church in American holding a gun and said "if ur not prepared to die for God, leave now". Most of the congregation got up and walked out, then the man handed his gun to the minister saying "i got rid of the doubters for u". |

yeah! those peopl that left are the ones that need reached out to the most. But, f that happened in your church, would you leave? I think I would, but i'm not 100%, more of a 99%! i know, i know...thats not good enough!! I lik what Katie said, about dying, just hoing home to God. And i suppose there is many people in the world that are scared of death, and maybe the fear of death made some of them people leave. But, death being just going home to God, doesnt seem scary! As ive said, i'd liek to think i'd stay, but again, you cant really be completely sure, if your not in that situation! |
