rosa parks was basically the starting block for martin lurther king's civil rights movement! on 1st december 1955 she refused to give up her seat to a white man (all black ladies and men were to give up seats, even on the colored section of the buses if it looked like a white person was going to have to stand!)

she refused, and was arrested... when she was released it started the montgomery bus boycott, led by martin lurther king jnr; where by people refused to get the buses and it challenged congress and they made the segregation on buses unconstitutional! it then started up martin lurther king jnr in the civil rights movement which changed america! she was a legend for one.. well what seemed like a simple act but was one of the huggest stands for rights!
