Brilliant, simply brilliant!!
I've never felt closer to God before this weekend, even even compared to seeing THE VISION (24-7prayer) for the first time. And I'm still BUZZING!!

Just to expand on what Huggy said ;)

PETER IS THE LEGEND!!! B)
Huggy's bro and myself went in for a 101 with Peter and it was the best thing ever! He was really easy to talk to and gave us a sort of insight into talk 3, talking to us about prayer and what/how to read the Bible. He then went into the Bible and explained why night-time quiet time isn't the best time for bible time :D and that getting up early to have your quiet time is far better (a bit like in the 3rd talk), I tried it, woke up at 6:35am!! Had a shower and didn't actually feel that bad to be honest. He then went through where was best to start off in (Ruth and Joshua etc.) because the Bible is a big book! Then he prayed for us that we would keep this new-found fire alive and that it wouldn't be one of those spiritual highs that fade out after a while, and I feel God has been doing great things since that session :)
When I came home and did a bit of homework and went to the evening meeting for my church, and I found that the worship songs there came alive (despite the fact I wasn't there to play the drums) I felt like just bouncing (as you do) but when I looked around, most of the congregation wasn't so lively and I felt like saying 'what's wrong with you people!!'
I'm finding myself just sitting randomly in my room or walking down the corridor singing away in my head or whistling away to God lol :)

The band was super good too. Worship was awsome (especially We must go (I think that's the name of it) and that one with the overlapped lyrics.. it's one of those songs you can just smile to). The praise night was the best worship session of the weekend, I just felt there was that extra vwoomf to it. And that snare helped a heap!!

I really liked the discussion times(w/Naomi and Niki), especially the Sunday one (took off a big weight for me :))... and feeding the ducks paper was fun (dispite my shoddy aiming :D) *runs off to hide from environmentalists* :ph43r:

I'd say this weekend was the first time I'd really ever taken notes in any talks and it had really helped when I was wrecked on sunday and couldn't remember some of the things he said
I was thinking during the 1st discussion time what my spiritual gift would be and I remember a time about 5-6 years ago when I'd got my first drumkit and my worship leader, the saxophone lady (his wife) and the and another guitarist came over for a jam (of the musical sort), after that he came and told me at the end that I had a gift for that instrument. So he layed a hand on me, prayed for me, and about 4 or 5 weeks later he asked me if I wanted to play in a morning service. So I went with it and had a go at playing at the front. I can remember not being exactly brilliant but I carried on with it dispite a few skipped beats. Since then, all I can say is that it couldn't have been me that could've got me to where I'm at now (alot better so he thinks ), now that I look back the years, and I'm still looking at the horizons :)

*breathes*

Sorry I never discussed it in the discussion time Naomi, I did't really have that sort of cahones to talk about it then  (but I can still type it up here...?? weird)

Suggestions?
-Air freshener in the girls dorm :P
-More outside discussion time (best one of the weekend me thinks)
-Maybe have it after the Jan exams? Although I do think it was a good break from the chaos of school life as Peter said.

Anyway, I'd just like to thank Peter, the band, the commitee and all the teachers for a brilliant weekend.. it was, i'd say, a definite turning point in my life :)
Yer all legends!!
Same time next year then?

*breathes some more*
waow, I've gotta stop taking that coffee :D

EDIT:
Ahh!!! Look at the time!! Gotta do me homework!!
Where's that coffee! :D

Hey johnny ur not ment to tell bout the ducks!!! lolUr alot braver then I am my alarm went off at quarter to 7 this morn but I hit the snooz button and didnt get out of bed till like ten past seven!! Shall have to get up tomorrow morning!!

Dont worry about not discussing it in the discussion time! There is a time and place for everything, and the place that God wanted you to tell others about your gift was here!

Pete was amazing and was totally God's choice for the weekend!!

We soo should start a topic on spiritual gifts and how we can use them in school!! have to go now but have like a million studies 2moro and if noone has started that topic then I will!!!

Oh and as for air freshener for the girls dorms ours soooo totally didnt smell!!!! :P

ehh... ehh... I did?!?! *fumbles for edit link* DENY EVERYTHING!!! :P

But right enough though... I think it was a far better way, for me, to physically unload and throw away (in the most environmentally friendly way possible) the sin compared to sitting in a dorm, nervously trying to avoid telling everyone how bad you are (or where).. I believe God wanted it that way. :)

Well I must correct myself, the corridors where stankin but your dorm was suprisingly comfortable and fresh ^_^

There you go! One 'spiritual gifts' thread :)
