hmmm it seems like we have a slightly fatalistic outlook, and personally i believe in God's providence. But if we are going to live with people yet resist temtptation then lets all walk out into the middle of the road with our eyes closed and surely God will keep us, just as He will keep us from any temptation...fatalistic approach

plus one person before was saying why do we always assocaiate the worst with people hu arent saved etc etc. well becus they arent saved, their sin, whether big or small still condemns them to hell...plain and simple. The Christian can break under the strain of temptation but can turn to God for forgiveness, the sinner continues in their sin and it continues to condmen them.

the charity work etc tec they do, wel thats really good im really not gonna say anything against that but when it comes to the end of their lives and they still havent accepted Christ, their 'good works' will all have been a waste of time in the light of eternity.

i mean just look at David hu fell into sexual sins, he simply looked oon the girl twice if memory serves and then look at teh actions he pursued. If this man describes as, "a man after God's own heart," could so easily fall by a mere look, then surely we must learn from this to flee such temptations.

ha.. you know i would love to be able to trust God as much as to cover my eyes... because God would look after you if you trusted him that much... you seem to think that trusting God has limitations... nope his love is endless.... and so to should our trust be... but i don't know anyone who would trust God enough to walk across a road with their eyes closed... you might think its silly... but we need to learn to trust God this much...

i agree with the rest of what you said.... but for my examples about partners living together were all two Christians living together... who can encourage each other, and support each other...

trusting God and yourself to keep your own values vs walking out in the middle of the road doesnt compare very well. When you make your own decisions you trust yourself and God, but the buck stops with you. you cannot blame anyone else, or God, or your situation if YOU, YOURSELF decide to choose something wrong, or YOU decide to give in.
(if you walked out into the middle of a busy road you choose to put your life into others hands, will the cars swerve.. will they stop... etc... so at the end of the day your choice has been taken away... no comparison!)

associating the worst with people who arent saved has feck all to do with whether their sins are forgiven or not, it has to do with what they do here and now! its like saying a christian who kills but asks for forgiveness isnt a bad person.. yet they are, in the eyes of the world. yet a non christian who gives their entire life to charity is deemed a bad person coz they dont have sin? can you see what im getting at? the association between being a non christian and the worst happening has no concrete association, yes in some cases it happens, but not in all.

so if you want to say its the worst in the eternal realms that theyre not saved then thats ok, but not on this planet.

(I'm not getting at people and I dont mean this to come across really strongly.. so look > :) smiley face! its just my opinion and it is something i feel very strongly about!)

wow.. you're sounding like God isn't in control of everything... and why can't i trust God that much... its the fact that we deem that level of trust inpossible, that we don't see that God would look after me that much... would God let me die.. yes mabey.. and if he did, thats great.. i would get to go to heaven.. if not then he has a job for me to do....

don't know what to say to the rest of that... i don't remember disagreeing with any of it.. so can only agree... well i didn't understand it...

=] and we all have our rants.. and certain topics that get us going.. lol =]

i do trust God, i dont know where you got it from there that i dont... please tell me though so i can let ya know what i really meant. I've trusted God this far and He's been amazing.

what i was trying to say there was if you put you don't fully put your trust in God and make a decision against what we know He wants us to do then you have no one else to blame other than yourself! God is strong enough to bring you through anything but if you dont believe that or decide to do your own thing then its youro own fault if you fail. put your trust in God and you cant go wrong... i really hope im making sense here!

and if its about the thing of walking out infront of a car yes we can trust God to save us and He may make the cars swerve etc but its still stupidity on our part to walk out infront of the car! theres a balance there.. hence why we have free will and common sense to some degree!
