Don't know if this has been covered already, sorry if it has. First two are by Churchill http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Never_w...y_to_so_few.jpg because never was so much owed by so many to one man, than we owe to Jesus. Who came to this world to live to show us how to live and died to that are sins could be washed away. http://churchillmuseum.iwm.org.uk/server/s...nMediaFile.3554 Its how we need to go thought life walking with God, going forward together. Stonewall Jackson commander in the American civil war: "Captain, my religious belief teaches me to feel as safe in battle as in bed. God has fixed the time for my death. I do not concern myself about that, but to be always ready, no matter when it may overtake me. That is the way all men should live, and then all would be equally brave" This quote always helps me to question myself Am I ready? If not why not? just a few that imedately spring to mind. what famous quotes help you think about God? |

It not so much famous quotes that help me to think about God its stuff that goes on in my every day life. E.g. Im doing biology A level (dont go there!) and we were doing about photosynthesis and I sat for a double peroid and all I could think about was how amaxing God was that he could design and create a way for the sun's light to provide energy for every living being on the plannet!! There are so many factors that have to be put into place before photosynthesis can happen but yet God knew that so he made leaves thin and gave them lots of chlorophyll etc - totally amaxing when you get to the knitty gritty of it!! |
