i was just thinking, well u no how if you repent ur sins and u reali mean it God will forgive u
Then if you repented all your sins seconds before you die and God forgave you, would you go to heaven?

Also if the first question is true, then why bother being a Christian your whole life?

I'm not saying that u shouldn't be a Christian, i was just wondering what other people thought about the subject

Yes, I believe you will go to Heaven. The problem with that plan is no one knows exactly when they will die. You may not have a few seconds before you die, if you’re in a bad car accident for example.

Because having a friend - Jesus: who is always there for you, always understands you, can always give you the best advise possible, can help you in any experience, is just so amazing. Also by getting to know God in this life allows us to get a glimpse of what heaven will be like. :)

Yeah, I agree with Andrew. Nobody knows when they will die, and so if you keep putting it off you may never take that step. We often hear the phrase "procrastination is the thief of time" but in this case it could be the thief of life, and you have no-one to blame for that but yourself.

In Moira there is a sign on a wall, I never remember it not being there. It says something like " The coming of the Lord draweth nigh" (sorry if I'm wrong), but we have to be ready. God accepts us whether we are a serial killer or terrorist on death row just about to be injected, or a four-year child who has suddenly realised who God is and why Jesus came. He does this because he loves us so much. He wants everyone to come to him. We can't think we are better than ohters because to God sin is sin is sin, and there are no different levels.

I think that becoming a Christian and living the life "your whole life" is the best choice you could make. I really don't know how I would have survived through my life so far if I hadn't known God was there, with me, every step of the way. I know others move away from God in hard times, like losing a loved one, but it made me cling to Him all the more, because I couldn't go through it on my own. Jesus is closer than a brother, and he knows more about you than you do. He is just so amazing, and I am just so grateful that he even knows my name, let alone knows every part of who I am, and loves me enough to give his life and shed his blood on the cross for me.

yea i totally agree with all the answers soo far... but if you are asking for forgiveness, you must believe in God.. (so you have to mean it..)

also, we know Christ now, and we know how amazing he is, so being a Christian is a better life.. and we can start to give things back to God...
for people who ignore God.. they just haven't given him a chance in their lives.. and therefore do not know what difference God makes..

and obviously for those that haven't heard about God (very few is my guess.. but i mean those that haven't heard much, or been in any Christian environments)... - these people don't have a chance...

but if you find God on the day of your death.. he will forgive you.. remember.. time shouldn't be a factor in being a Christian...

I don't really remeber what it was like not being a Christian. I heard stories about Jesus from I was no age,. and became a Christian when I was four. I wouldn't want my life any other way!

I can't imagine life without Jesus, and being able to serve him, and praise him, it's immense!

God is love and he is slow to anger, quick to bless and mighty to save.

If you knew about god your whole life, and were brought up in the church but didn;t give your life to God until the day you died because that was your choice, you didn't want him to be in charge of you but you wanted to go to heaven, would he ask why you waited?

God loves each one of us and wants all of us to come to him. BUt he didn't make us robots, we have free will, so we can choose to come to him. Angels and all of heaven celebrate when a sinner comes and repents. It doesn't matter what age they are, what colour their skin is, or what they did in their past. The main thing is God loves us and wants us to be with him forever!!!
