Just wondering, do you do anything special for Easter, with your church or family? We don't really but I have been thinking about it since I talked to a friend who is going to a Dawn service!

Just wondering!

yay a new topic! :)

going to the easter dawn service is BRILLIANT for our presbytry because its in splega dam at 6:30 in the morning! its great fun, a good challenge and theres good craic in the breakfast at clonduff afterwards. not to mention when the sun rises over the dam through the mournes (when it is sunny - it snowed a couple of years ago!)

where would ur dawn service be and have u been before?

We are having a Good Friday service in our church on Friday night but I don;t know what time it's at, I can let you know if you want. I haven't heard of anything else. Doesn't seem like anyone else is on the forum! They have all deserted! Noooooo! :(

lol, i run out of topics looong ago.

no way do i want to debate topics like evolution and abortion etc again, even though those contensious (however thats spelt) issues drew people to the forum. maybe for next year we could have a website committee to update it regularly and include features such as videos. (i think that was discussed last year but it didnt get far). it wud be brill if we could get linked up to 24/7 prayer or something like that.

at least it isnt completely deserted :)

You could start another "nothing to see here" type thing, that was really funny! Course there were more people and usually more than one on at once, so posts were being made on top of each other, made it even worse! Can't really think of much meself!

The ones where we told a story that was really stupid line by line between us, and it just got more and more wierd, something about Santa and pillow fights? You should check it out in general discussion! It was sooo funny!

i'm always in switzerland over easter so on easter sunday we celebrate by snowboarding/skiing hhahhahaha!
and then we go to an international church in the village run by ICS which is sort of like mission to holidaymakers where anglican ministers go out and lead english churches every holiday season.
i'd love to go to a dawn service though!

woops sorry for the late reply! i suck o_O :)
i was in a wee village called Wengen which is 3 and a half hours by train from Zurich but we fly into Zurich so yeah :] I think they have wee churches in quite a few places around Switzerland actually, it's quite a popular easter destination for English speaking people apparently!

The service was good! This year they had a woman minister from Manchester and she was really nice. It's a nice way of getting to know people too. Unfortunately they couldn't get a pianist so we just had to sing to a CD soundtrack but oh well!

Chocolate is also a bonus of Easter in Switzerland heehe!
