I hate most of the anime that were shown on TV, the dubs are just awful, excluding FMA. |

It might just be that you're used to watching subbed shows. Before I started watching shows in japanese with subs, english in Anime seemed completely normal to me, now it sounds like poo!!! |

All dubs $u(k @$$!! Before subs, English anime was normal to me. After subs, I liked the subs and quit watching the English dubs... "why?", you may ask... Answer: Subs Kick @$$! The dubs did not make any sense ... Example... These are the lines to compare.... Blockhead, seriously, are you five? (Ayaka) - Funimation Negima Dub No, that's your IQ, Squirt-Moron! (Asuna) - Funimation Negima Dub Better than an old man lover! (Ayaka) - Negima (Subs) Takahata Sensei isn't an old man! (Asuna) - Negima (Subs) Next in line... Most anime copyright 1997 or older $u(k @$$!! This excludes Rurouni Kenshin, Gundam Series, and Inu-Yasha |

Jeez I don't get it... what's so wrong with putting old man lover? It's not like it's terrible adult-y or something. And if parents sue for adulteration, they should counter-sue for stupidity |

Something tells me that a large deal of people that complain about dubs don't consider the factors, the primary being that the animators animated it for Japanese dialogue, which makes it kind of hard to adapt to other languages. Now, not only do you have to translate the script, converting any language specific jokes (eg. 'kappa' raingear jokes in the School Rumble manga) into forms that make sense for what is normally assumed to be culture ignorant viewers, but it has to match the mouth flaps. Aside from that, there's no point in complaining over dialogue changes in a dub. So a few lines got mixed around, or changed, etc. Straight out editing a show though, that's something to be concerned about. Some shows just work with a dub though, like Full Metal Panic. I had rips of season 1 and Fumoffu for about a year before I realized that they did indeed have Japanese audio and after I switched it over, it felt weird. To stay on topic though, I pretty much dislike any non-[as] anime broadcast. No real reason, I just figure that if an anime series is being marketed to American children/young teens then I really don't care to watch it. |

I am kind of happy I don't live in the states  Most of the anime that I watch are usually downloaded via BTs so I get to choose which animes I watch.... but I do still watch a bit of anime on TV and just to say... I hate REALLY long anime with a passion. For example: Naruto: Really liked up until the major battle between Naruto and Sasuke but after that I didn't get anymore eps so I stopped for a while but hearing that it's still going I decided not to watch it for the fear that it'll just be a repetitive anime. DBZ: What more do I need to say?? It just sucked.... I remember a few years ago it was still screening on TV and it took 1 FULL MONTH to kill Freiza.... and that 1 month did not include meeting Freiza... As for One Piece, I can't really give a comment on it because I haven't really watched it yet... depending on what I suddenly decide to do I might pick it up... but there's a slim chance. Thanks all for letting me this chance to rant :D |

The worst anime I've seen currently is Negima!? I don't care if it's supposed to follow the manga or not, there's too much character butchering, especially with Makie (that mother***king "failure at life" bit made the show so unbearable to watch.) :fist: Not only that, SHAFT seems to fail to provide true character development too. :fist: |
