ya haven't heard of it? I thought it was tremendously well known, and didn't require a thorough explaination...sorry... it means that humans, because of our ability to think, can do more than animals that including changing our instincts we can learn, so we may change but some believe, me included, that the "nature" of people prevents them from ever changing "Nature" is the way people are inherently "Nurture" is the way people can become different from what they are I'll say it now, I think people can change Slightly, but never by a great degree mine is a case of "Nature over Nurture" some people never change thank you your time |

Psychology tells me (it has many views) That it is both nature and nurture that affects us as human beings. Example: 1. Nature: Parents did not excel in school or sports. inherited money as biggest form of income. Child is born with seemingly similar potential. Nurture: Parents made sure their child did their homework, spent time with their kid to practice their own personal sport, and hired tutors/ trainers to help excel their child. Child who had no real advantages given to them through birth, has acquired knowledge and skill at things that their parents have never excelled in. (Nurture affected outcome) Many situations say that nature is for the child to excel, yet they fail repeatedly, due to variables... Nature affects us just as much as nurture. I would have to say Nurture effects us in ways that are more noticeable, but Nature effect us just the same. Both effect each-other equally. BTW, this topic is much more exciting when their is a query behind it ex: Homosexuality and heterosexuality which effects it more: Nature or Nurture This is my opinion, their is no Nature vs Nurture, their is Nature and Nurture, both making and molding us into who we are, and who we can become. Neither effects more then the other. Side note: I know I repeated myself, but I am not good with words. |

I can turn anyone, no matter who, into a psychopathic cannibal with the right tutoring. Obviously I am a firm believer in nurture over nature. |

I think it's nature for one reason: cuz we're people(people do things, people have nature) looking at it small, most people don't move out of that circle of existance that commands us very easily(we're just raised that way). It's because we live in a world of "Disney Morals" as I call them.(that, or just strange fables and sayings, some that contradict eachother) so yes, we're nutured to all be the same(mostly. People who're different have trouble going about life, so it's better to be normal anyway;cuz weirdness hurts) |

Nature>Nurture in terms of sinful man, then Christ>Nature in terms of those who are Christian. In terms of learning things/doing sports...a little bit of both. Like 50/50 I would say. |
