I myself think that it is up to the parent to make that decision but thats just me. I will go into more detail later I'm in class at the moment you see. I was just wondered what the rest of the forum thought.

Sorry for the vagueness. I meant should a parent have the right to have an abortion "Pro choice" or are abortions completely wrong and no baby should ever have to die based on the decision by the parent(s) "Pro Life".

As I stated before I am Pro choice.

"Pro Choice". Sometimes some children can be too expensive to maintain if they're born brain-damaged or worse. It may sound cruel, but when the alternative is to go straight into poverty...It's better to have a healthy child than have it live a life of suffering.

I agree with Dark Evangel.

At times it's the lesser of two evils.

But personally I think, if there is nothing wrong with the child then they should allow for it to be born and give it up for adoption.

I totally agree with that too. That could also be a choice that the parents could make.

Prochoice all the way for me. I don't see what's the point in having a child suffer because the parents wern't allowed to abort/not have the kid. Also, though it seems to have been stopped by the right wing politions, the aborted fetuses (sp) could be used in stem cell research. Either way, decisions will be made and things will happen.

That makes me the only Pro-Life so far. Even if the child is expensive or is the product of a rape, a life is a life.

It doesn't matter how old you are when you get pregnant. Some girls who have abortions do it because they can't bear the thought of giving the baby up for adoption and never seeing him/her again. Personally, I think that is the most selfish reason I've ever heard for having an abortion. From the moment the child is conceived, you become a parent. And as a parent, you have to consider what is best for the child, even if they're born with Down Syndrome or something. Because even if that happens, if a woman about to have an abortion were to ask the baby in the womb about it, I'm pretty sure the baby will have a different opinion.

I agree that from the moment a child is conceived that it should be considered alive. And I agree that the parent must consider and do what is best for the child.

But under certain circumstances that includes abortion. There are worse things then death.

I will definitely not say that abortion is “murder,” because a fœtus isn’t a person and thus has no right to life. The state issues birth certificates, not conception certificates. You gain your personhood and in turn your right to life when you’re born, not a moment sooner. The so-called “pro-life” position is more accurately called “anti-abortion.” I’d have to call myself “pro-choice” on that aspect. Abortion really isn’t an issue here in Japan anyway. (I’m not Japanese, BTW.)

Is my stance on abortion allowed to be "Why do I give a fuck?"

AS A VOTING CITIZEN, YOU MUST SOLIDIFY YOUR IDEALS. THEREFORE, I BESEECH THOU TO MAKE A DECISION ON THIS ISSUE (one that denotes a clear distinction between the two sides)!

I am generally pro-life. But when it comes down to it I am a guy without a VAGINA and with out the ability to get pregnant. So I don't really think it should be up to people like me (vaginaless and barren) to make a choice for all women. Because I have no idea what its like to go through the whole deal.
