I agree with Zaroff on his second point But I say that it should be the womans choice, since it's their body, and it should be their decision on what they want to do with their body And also, Stop with the thread bumpings |

Pro-choice. Doesn't matter whether it's a life or not. It's up to the woman to decide whether she wants the baby or not. How would you like it if you were forced to bear a child that you didn't want and very probably acquired it from a rapist? |

I am not registered to vote, and am too fed up with politics (thanks to my faggy lunch table) to go and register. Also my "don't give a shit" viewpoint kinda ties into Zaroff's thing about the inability of males to get pregnant. |

I stand on the pro-choice side of this. I think everyone has the right to their own decisions on things. Simple as that. |

I'm pro-life. I hate when people say "Abortion is okay, because a woman should be able to choose what she wants to do with her body." Okay, then shouldn't suicide be legal? Shouldn't all illegal drugs be made legal? Shouldn't twelve-year-olds be able to have sex and drink tons of alcohol? Just because it's your body, it doesn't mean that you can do whatever you want with it. Are you allowed to strap yourself with explosives and go on an airplane filled with passengers? The previously stated excuse is the dumbest I've heard in a while. @Rark: I think I have the right to decide that I'm going to murder my English teacher. Izzat so simple? |

suicide is illegal? are they gunna punish you if you commit suicide?Put you in jail for it? Illegal drugs are illegal, but people still do them cuz they want to some 12 year olds can do that, it's just about how they were raised soo basically you can do what you want with your body if you choose to. and about the explosives, you can do that, but it's discouraged, cuz you'll kill others. |

ah, I'm a male, I would let the woman decide considering I would never know what it's like to go through it. Who am I to decide or say about the matter? I guess I'm pro-choice then. However, if I was a woman myself, I would be pro-life. If I was in the situation, I would feel that I owe to the child to let him/her have their life. That said, it may not the greatest of all life, but it still is. That's if I was a woman. Guess I'm still pro-choice though even with the 'being a women' thing. |

And that's another reason why I don't want to live in America. As for the issue at hand, I know someone who's had an abortion, and I know all the complex issues and the agony that they and their partner had to go through before they made that choice. Pro-choice is the only real option here. Everyone who's 100% pro-life just doesn't understand the real world. I can't believe someone compared abortion to terrorism and murder. I mean come on, do have you any idea? Do you think most people just go around getting pregnant and aborting it just for the hell of it? Do you think the couple I know don't still wonder if they made the right decision? Most cases are never straight forward and to simply deny all options is to basically dictate the lives of thousands of women across the world. Who are we to judge. People should be allowed to make their decisions and mistakes, especially when they are the only ones to suffer (which is clearly the case here, unlike murder or terrorism). As long as the abortion is done early enough in a pregnancy, that little ball of cells will not be self-aware, will not feel pain, and hardly even classifies as a separate living entity. I not saying it doesn't have any rights, but surely all things must be considered, and the options carefully weighed. I'm sorry about the length of this rant, its just some of the views on this thread really make me angry. |

I'm pro-life (calling it anti-abortion is also correct and by the same token might I call pro-choice "anti-life?"). I see no difference between killing a child via abortion or killing a child via common weapons (i.e. guns, knives, fists etc). All people (in the U.S.) are allowed the right to LIFE, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Please note the word in large, captial letters. You have no right to kill a child who has commited no crime (heck, he/she hasn't even breathed yet). I find it shameful that an obvious murder takes months, if not years, of court proceedings to finally imprision/kill the person but any mother can choose to slay an innocent child at a whim. |

What is defined as illegal is anything that could possibly harm you or another person, the unborn fetus, by law, is not another person until it has left the womb, therefore, abortion is not illegal and can never be illegal unless congress passes a law saying that an unborn fetus is considered a human-being. I am also Pro-Choice |

How about you go through childbirth. Then see if you want to be forced to have a child. |

I'm pro-life all the way, no doubt, no discussion. A life is a life, and it makes me sick to hear people say things like "How would you feel if you were conceived by a rapist or if you were born with mongolism etc etc etc" I don't give a shit about your ideas, comments or thoughts on how you assume another person's life is going to evolve, it ain't anyone's decision whether someone else should live or die based on how they think their life is gonna be. |

I could reciprocate and say I don't give a shit whether it's a life or not. It'd be a life within my hands. Logically, it would be my decision. And should I deem it necessary, I'll 'kill' it. I also can say mind your own business. If you want to go ahead and not get an abortion, than go ahead. I don't care. It makes me sick when I have these people saying "a life is a life, no matter what". A life is a life, and when it's living inside me, I can kill it whenever I choose. |
