Oh no! no! XD don't see me like that! XD I'm not a pervert! (ok, maybe a little, I won't deny).
I DO NOT read any H-fanfics, and stuff like these, I'm too embarrassed to read it! I was only joking with my little perverted side XP

Jessie,
*laughs* Oh no, don't worry, I was just joking with you for that last bit. *smiles* Not that I'm someone who thinks there's anything wrong with reading or writing about sex, its just that it takes a special talent to write that well - a talent only few people seem to have, and something I most certainly do not have. ^^;;

I bet they were rabbits in their past life, haha.

Haven't seen you online in a while so I'll just drop a note here, lol. Great updates as always, big mama XD Will we be getting to see more of this... ‘oh god Secchan yes yes’ even though you won't be writing out the sex scene? ;D

Jisatsu,
*laughs out loud* Like I said to you when we talked, I actually had a sentence written where Asuna said that she thought Konoka and Setsuna were half-rabbits. XD And... no, no more wild bunny adventures of Secchan and Konochan in this story, I think, since it would appear that with this little bit I'm about to post, Tenderness 4 is finished. I might still do a sidestory or two, I don't know, but... any other major Konosetsu thing would most likely be in another story. Which I've got ideas for a few, so we'll see. ;D

Sorry for not having much time to reply to such wonderfulness...

Furu,
Heh, no problem Furu, and we did get to chat a bit after all, ne? And thank you for the praise! ^__^

It took me a little while, but I got to get the picture up.
I hope you like it, it's also going to go up in my thread....

Okay... I'm going to go on about it.

Um, I do like the way I drew them, this is not fan art, it's just my art, ^^
um.... I haven't drawn these two together before either. So... first time for everything....
Let's see..... um, I didn't get to shading it all. So it looks a bit off.
But aside from that, I'm quite proud.
Remember though that this is just a sign of how much I enjoyed reading your fanfic....

Yuki,
*____________________*!
Oh how lovely... thank you! *bows* *saves the illustration and hugs it*
Now I have _two_ lovely, lovely drawings for Tenderness, wow! *bounce bounce* *tries to restrain myself from running around going WHEEEEEE!*
A very nicely drawn kiss. :D And cute little detail you've got there with Secchan's clothes being pulled up over her wings. Oh, and though I suppose it is a weird thing to compliment on, but I love Secchan's arm and hand in that pic. ^__^

---------------------------------------

I think this is the end for Tenderness, though I still have ideas for one or two side-stories that I might yet write and post here (one Ayaka/Asuna, the other Sayo/Kazumi), I'm not sure. Either way I have a few other ideas to write about, two Konoka stories and one Setsuna story (all three would of course be Konosetsu though) as well, so I might still be pestering you all with my stories. ^-^
Thank you all that have been reading this little series, and thank you all that have been sending me feedback and encouragement... you kept me writing and I've loved it. *bows* You guys are the sweetest.

TENDERNESS 4 (end)

The party carried on for its assigned three days of merriment and festivity, complete with a few ohmygod-we-did-WHAT-last-night?! moments, although the happily married couple chose not to join the rest of the world until the third day, to much amusement among their friends. It was quite a success, until of course the fourth day when there was much crying as first Negi and his family had to take their flight back to Wales – with promises of return visits of course – and then when many of the girls formerly of Mahora had their respective flights or trains to take.

A core group remained in Kyoto for a while longer, consisting of Evangeline, Chachamaru, Sayo, Kazumi, Mana, Kaede and Ayaka. In Evangeline’s case she was set and determined to enjoy her full week of vacation from Mahora, leaving the other women that travelled to Kyoto with her to stay the rest of the days as well, though no-one was complaining about that. It was never stated, and no-one chose to potentially embarrass her by asking, just why Ayaka stayed along with the rest of them, but the general assumption was that she wanted to spend a little more time with Asuna.

Asuna had after finishing school found herself without any clear direction to go in or a place to stay, but found that her connection to the Konoe family did not end once she was supposedly an adult. Konoka and Setsuna considered Asuna family, and so when the couple moved to Kyoto Asuna was asked to come with them, given her own small residence on the vast estate. It took quite a while before Asuna caved in, still having issues about being a burden to anyone, and it wasn’t until she was taken into the Konoe family’s employ that she could finally accept the offer and the home that was cleverly disguised in her contract as a work-related perk.

Thus it was that Asuna was going to take up residence in Kyoto now that she had come for the wedding, and it was generally suspected that Ayaka was somewhat heartbroken by the concept of being so far away from her friend. And if anyone thought there might be something else besides that behind Ayaka’s sadness, they at least did not say so to her face.

Before they knew it the week was over, and the women still living in the Mahora area left for their homes, leaving their friends in Kyoto with promises to visit or be visited often. Konoka and Setsuna were given another couple of weeks of concentrating on nothing else but enjoying their new life as a married couple, then it was back to school for both of them.

The difference was that this kind of school was far more important and serious than their years at Mahora. Konoka was to learn her craft and learn it well, just as Setsuna was to not only learn to improve herself as the warrior that protected Konoka, but as Konoka’s permanent pactio partner as well, and beyond that they both had a lot to learn that would concern their future as the leaders of the united Magical Associations. Asuna was also to some degree put in schooling, to improve her skills as a warrior but also to subtly train her to become Setsuna and Konoka’s aide. It was a process that would take many years.

Not quite four years later saw a different kind of frantic but eagerly awaited activity in Kyoto. It was at that time Setsuna and Konoka’s first child was to be born.

For Setsuna the whole event was a blur that passed by fairly quickly, since the warrior went almost into hysterics from the moment it was clear that Konoka was going into labour, and because Chachamaru managed to give the hyper-ventilating woman several electric shocks in attempt to calm her down before Evangeline noticed and made her servant stop electrocuting the soon-to-be parent. For Konoka the labour was fairly long, though she was told it was a normal-length for such a thing, and not without anxiety or pain though those in the end were quite negligible.

Evangeline, whom had worked quite a bit to make it so that she would have a few days of Kyoto vacation right when Konoka was expecting to give birth, proved to be quite helpful for Konoka as the rest of the family ran around in a panic. The tiny blond was as calm as ever and even managed to shake some semblance of self-control back into Konoka’s wife, just in time for Setsuna to be present and holding her wife as their child was born. It was with quite a bit of satisfaction that Evangeline snatched the newborn away from the midwife to present her to the stunned parents by herself.

The method Evangeline and the others had devised to make Setsuna and Konoka able to have children together was deemed a great success, as the healthy bouncing baby was a perfect combination of her two mothers: she had healthy rosy cheeks, a cap of midnight black hair, brown eyes, and, something which was discovered the first time she was bathed, a pair of tiny going-to-be-wings protrusions in her back, smooth and pink as the feathers had yet to grow in. Naturally, both parents were instantly smitten by their little miracle, the very world revolving around her. What was more surprising was how the small and imperious blonde took an instant liking to the new life, though of course Evangeline refused to admit it.

When the little one was a month old it was time to officially give her a name. Of course her parents had long since agreed upon Kimiko, but they had a little surprise in store for the guest that was summoned there for the day especially.

Thinking herself left alone with the baby for the moment, the otherwise reserved vampire walked over to the crib and the bubbling bundle and poked at her slightly. The child gurgled happily and focused chocolate brown eyes in Evangeline’s direction, the blonde tickling chubby cheeks and round feet in hopes of seeing one of those toothless grins that she very privately thought were adorable but would not admit to under pain of torture.

Konoka spoke up from the doorway where she had stood for a moment, watching while Evangeline was too caught up by the baby to notice. “We’re so glad you could come, Eva-san. Secchan and I couldn’t imagine doing this without you here.”

The child-like immortal snatched her hand away from the baby and looked away, trying to hide suddenly blushing cheeks. “Y-yeah? Well, it’s another day’s vacation from Mahora for me.”

Konoka grinned and suppressed an urge to go over and hug Evangeline, knowing that her diminutive on and off teacher would not appreciate the gesture. Instead she walked over to stand next to Evangeline, looking down at her baby girl. “I had intended to wait until Secchan was here for this, but... Eva-san, Secchan and I have talked about this and we intend to do something a bit unusual when it comes to Kimiko’s name.”

Mildly interested despite herself Evangeline glanced at Konoka. “Oh?”

“Secchan and I have decided to have a second ceremony here at home later today, in which we would like to give Kimiko a western-style middle name.” Konoka smiled and kept her eyes on Evangeline who subtly shrugged and looked back at the infant.

“With your permission we would like to give our daughter the middle name Angela... in honour of her very important aunt.”

The blonde gave a start, and with an for her uncommon wide-eyed look of astonishment stared at the child in the crib. She tried to wrap her mind around the other woman’s words and the meaning behind them. “You... want to... name her... after me?”

“If you approve, Eva-san, then yes... we do.” Konoka said gently, detecting a tell-tale gleam in Evangeline’s eyes, one that she felt fairly sure she had never witnessed before.

Evangeline felt her eyes sting with tears like she hadn’t allowed them to for a very long time. Abruptly she turned her back on both mother and child and tried to grunt something abrasive, as though she couldn’t care less, but in reality she only managed a slightly broken grunt that Konoka could easily see through.

“Eva-san, could you please keep an eye on Kimichan for a little while? I’ll be right back.” Konoka tried not to let her smile be heard and quickly eased out of the room, just around the corner from the door really, discreetly peeking at the blonde that had her back towards her.

When she thought herself alone with the child Evangeline wiped a treacherous tear away and turned back to the little bundle that was good-naturedly watching her surroundings without complaint. Very, very carefully, with hands that were strong and sure but felt like trembling a little, Evangeline lifted the baby to take a closer look.

“Hello Angela.” She whispered, blinking another stray tear away as the baby gurgled happily, not objecting to be held by the small blonde person.

Slowly and equally carefully Evangeline angled the baby in her arms until she rested with her cheek against the downy top of the little one that was contently chewing her hand and drooling. A rare happy smile found its way to Evangeline’s face.

“When you’re older...” She whispered to the baby as if making a secret promise just between them. “I’ll teach you how to fly.” She rocked the baby a little. “Yeah... when you’re older, let’s fly together... Angela.”

I could SO see Chachamaru doing that, too! :)

LOVED this ending. Very cute, especially with Asuna joining them too. I noticed you dodged who Negi ends up with, too. Cool.

Icha-kun,
I'm sorry but Tenderness has pretty much come to its end, save for the sidestory I'm writing now, at least. More Konosetsu, well, yeah, I really want to and have a few ideas for that. :D This sidestory just hijacked me though. :P

Poison_pen,
*laughs* Cute, really cute. And I'm sorry, but it is... almost over. Or rather, it is over but I have this sidestory if anyone is interested in it. ^^; Then I hope to be able to drag myself away and onto new Konosetsu adventures. :D
And as for the whole class becoming lesbians... heh... everyone is lesbian in my world! XD

--------------------------------------

I tried, I really did. Tenderness 4 was the end of the story, then I would go write other Konosetsu stuff... but IT HIJACKED ME! *wails*
Ayaka grabbed hold of my brain and refuses to let go until I write a happy ending for her too... so, my apologies, but here is another sidestory, Ayaka/Asuna. ^~^ (there will probably just be two parts)

Please have patience with all OOC behaviour and what I am making up about Ayaka's past, etc.

Tenderness Sidestory:
Green and Blue like Me and You

-----------------------------------------------------------

She could still remember with such vivid clarity the moment they met.

Or to say that they met, well, the other girl was introduced to the class and had probably not even noticed Ayaka, though Ayaka, even as small as they had both been then, had certainly noticed her. The red hair, the odd-coloured eyes that were filled with pain and loneliness, the refusal to speak... even as an adult Ayaka couldn’t with any accuracy say what it was that had pulled her towards the other girl.

Perhaps it was just the loneliness. Ayaka knew loneliness, even then, even though she was thought to be so perfect... perhaps she was, at school, a perfect student, a role model for others even when little, but at home it was a different story. At home Ayaka was the child that was not the much-desired son, the child that did not earn the attention of her parents on grounds of that very great and basic flaw, and instead grew up with servants and endless expectations of those that were never there. The mansion she called home without knowing what home felt like was always full of people, yet Ayaka was always alone.

It was something like that at school, too... she knew she was there because it was a prestigious school, and it was a convenient way to dispose of an unwanted child, enrolling them in such a place. In school she was admired well enough, made plenty of friends, certainly, but... no-one came all that close. And Ayaka continued to be alone.

Seeing something she could relate to in green and blue eyes Ayaka had reacted, somehow knowing the only way to reach the tiny redheaded child without a single word having passed between them: she picked a fight. And they had been continuously fighting with one another ever since.

There was beauty in those fights, in stirring such passion in another person as what she saw in those eyes when they fought. When they fought, all of Asuna’s attention was focused on Ayaka, not the heiress, not the student, not anything at all but Ayaka... and in those moments Ayaka did not feel alone.

For a long time it was that image that Ayaka saw when she thought of the other girl: the image of the passionately angry child with round cheeks and ill-hidden pain in her eyes. The very child that had been there for Ayaka’s own most painful time, and returned the favour of salvation.

The day that changed, the day that Ayaka took a step back and realized that they were both growing up and that Asuna was not a little child anymore but a rather nice-looking young girl, that was the day Ayaka’s unfortunate heart set out on a path that led away from their fighting friendship and towards far more painful territories.

That day Ayaka began ever so slowly to fall in love.

They still fought, frequently, loudly and quite physically at times, and Ayaka craved it, craved the intensity, the passion, and the absolute attention that Asuna gave her in those fights. She could not even admit it to herself for a long time, but she lived for seeing the passion burn towards her in Asuna’s eyes, and she would settle for whatever way she could get it.

By the time that Ayaka was old enough and understood enough to be able to tell that she had fallen in love with her childhood friend, she was also old enough to realize that it was not a mutual thing. Oh, she had no doubt that Asuna cared a great deal for her, but... only as a friend.

Ayaka’s eyes followed Asuna’s every movement, using whatever excuse she could find, constantly fighting for that was the only way they had to communicate, the only way she had to be near the other girl. How she envied Asuna’s other friends, Konoka in particular, who could laugh and joke and just... be with Asuna. How she wished she had that too.

Negi came along, and Ayaka adored him, finding in the little boy something that filled out that empty space inside where her little brother had been supposed to be, and truly Ayaka would have done anything for him. Her fighting with Asuna over him however was just a smokescreen, a convenient way for someone who used any potential possibility to pick a fight in order to have the nearness to the other girl that she so craved. She did go overboard from time to time, edging into the obsessively ridiculous, but this reaction was mostly due to the fact that Ayaka’s heart was always hurting.

For a while there had been a slight comfort to be found with Chizuru. The two of them were friends, well aware that they could be nothing more and where Ayaka’s heart truly lay, and indeed they never dated or anything such, only... there was some experimentation, some closeness, some touches, fondling, a bit of flirting... They never crossed any particularly important lines, but for a while, there had just been comfort.

Ayaka ended everything one day, ashamed of her own behaviour, when she thought she had detected something like the beginnings of something serious on Chizuru’s part, leaving their friendship somewhat strained for a short while. They salvaged things though and Chizuru moved on to someone who really loved her, and, to Ayaka’s great relief, opted to remain Ayaka’s friend. Their youthful exploration became a secret, rarely thought of memory that served to make their bond as friends all the more strong in the end.

And they grew up, all of them. Baby brother Negi moved back to his family in Wales, and while that was hard it was something Ayaka endured. It was much harder for Asuna, but it was not Ayaka’s arms that held Asuna as she wept when missing Negi, nor was it Ayaka that was relocated to live with Asuna to make her loneliness go away. No, Ayaka was made to watch all of this from a distance.

And watch Ayaka did. Asuna grew up beautiful, stunning even, the image of her haunting Ayaka’s mind day and night to the point of insanity. Yet Ayaka said nothing to Asuna. It was easy to tell that Asuna just was not grown enough for that conversation, and even once she would be there would be no guarantees that she did not turn away from Ayaka completely upon finding out about Ayaka’s emotions.

So came the dreaded graduation day, and the breaking of Ayaka’s heart.

Knowing that Asuna had no plans for her future after graduating Mahora, and knowing full well that she herself could not bear to be without her, Ayaka was going to approach Asuna with an offer to hire the other woman herself. She had worked out the details in a way that she thought Asuna might be persuaded to accept, but of course... she never got the chance to ask.

Asuna was moving to Kyoto to stay with Konoka and Setsuna, not that far away but far enough to slip out of Ayaka’s daily life, leaving Ayaka more alone than ever.

Setsuna and Konoka’s marriage was Ayaka’s last chance to come clean before Asuna disappeared from her life, if only Ayaka could find the courage to do something about it. If not, well, if not then the wedding celebrations would be her chance to spend as much time with Asuna as possible before she had to go back home alone.

They worked a lot together on the preparations, Ayaka and Asuna, something that Ayaka had volunteered to do for the couple getting married not just for her need to be with Asuna, but also from an honest wish to help friends out. Ayaka might not ever have been as close to Konoka and Setsuna as Asuna was, but she had still rooted for the couple over the years, specifically for the shy Setsuna to be able to confess her love to Konoka.

During the preparations and the wedding itself, Ayaka was shocked to realize that they did not fight nor particularly argue. Asuna spent her time in Ayaka’s presence anyway, in fact she even asked Ayaka to dance at the wedding reception. They did cause a minor scene with their surprising incompatibility when dancing, but it mattered little to Ayaka. Asuna had asked her to dance, that was all she cared about.

They had a good time that night, talking, dancing and... drinking. Even though she had spent most part of the day by Asuna’s side it still came as quite a shock to Ayaka when she, along with Evangeline and the others, discovered just how drunk Asuna really had gotten. She felt rather guilty for the fact that she was enjoying her friend’s predicament, as Asuna curiously got clingy and physically affectionate with Ayaka in her drunken state. She felt the knowing and sympathizing gazes from the rest of the group and blushed deeply, yet Ayaka could not and would not push Asuna away, not even for a moment.

Finally she couldn’t be responsible for keeping Asuna awake for much longer, and enlisted the aid of Chachamaru in getting Asuna with her to the hotel room the two of them had been assigned. The robotic girl’s aid was perhaps not strictly needed since Asuna was not about to fall on her face, but it did make it much easier to get Asuna to the room and strip her down to sleeping attire with Evangeline’s strong and efficient servant’s help. Thanking Chachamaru and securing Asuna in her bed Ayaka had then tended herself and crawled into the unoccupied one, surrendering to sleep.

She had not been asleep for long when a movement in her bed woke her up. Disoriented Ayaka was about to turn around to see what was going on when a warm body wrapped itself to her back. “Asuna? What...?”

“C’n I sleep w’you, Aya?” The sleep-slurred voice grumbled into Ayaka’s neck while the rest of Asuna had already made herself comfortable, tucked into the taller woman, and gone absolutely limp. As Ayaka opened her mouth to give some sort of stuttered reply she heard the sound of soft snoring coming from the face that had burrowed into Ayaka’s hair right at the nape of her neck.

Ayaka smiled, feeling giddy and elated with this unexpected gift, and folded her arms over the ones wrapped around her middle. She fully intended to stay awake to enjoy having the one she loved so close, not miss a single moment of Asuna’s soft snoring and the warmth of her body against Ayaka’s own, but before she knew it her eyes had closed, and a moment later Ayaka fell asleep, floating in that warm, happy place where she felt loved.

Much later that night Ayaka’s sweet dreams turned heated.

She was in the arms of a passionate, naked and hungry Asuna, whose hands were busy removing Ayaka’s last remaining item of clothing while lips and tongue was devouring her. They rocked wantonly against one another, Ayaka’s arms willingly reaching up to let Asuna pull the nightgown off...

It wasn’t until the nightgown hooked over Ayaka’s face for just a moment that Ayaka fully woke up and realized she was not dreaming. The shock that replaced the silky fabric would have made Ayaka speak, perhaps to protest, or perhaps to question, but once the nightgown was gone Asuna’s hands were free to join in other activities, and as Asuna’s hands found their mark all trace of thought was instantly erased from Ayaka’s mind. All she could do was to arch towards the ceiling and scream her lover’s name for all the world to know.

---

The morning that followed was a cruel one in many ways. It began much too early after the eventful night Ayaka had just experienced, and with her redheaded goddess tearing herself from Ayaka’s tender and restful embrace to run to the bathroom where she proceeded to be sick. Very sick in fact, and Ayaka spent the rest of the morning nursing a barely coherent Asuna through repeated trips to the bathroom and general hangover-induced delirium, until at last she could enlist Negi’s help for her beloved.

The next time Asuna awoke her eyes had cleared and her strength returned, however she had only vague recollections of what had been going on that morning. As Ayaka gently explained what an unpleasant morning Asuna had endured, something cold reached in and grabbed hold of Ayaka’s brittle heart.

“Asuna...” Ayaka began quietly, carefully, almost dizzy with apprehension. “Do you remember last night?”

The redhead blinked at her and tilted her head, apparently thinking hard. “Of course I do... hmm... party, dancing, snacks... we met up with Paru and the others...” She frowned for a moment before giving Ayaka a sheepish smile. “I think I called Eva-chan cute? Don’t really remember anything after that.”

Ayaka grabbed for the wall as her legs suddenly gave out on her and her surroundings grew dark, her body hovering on the edge of fainting. Asuna did not remember!

“Whoa!” Asuna grabbed her friend and got her to sit down on the edge of the bed. “You’re not too spry this morning yourself, I see.” She quickly ran off to fetch a wet towel. “There.”

After studying the pale Ayaka closely for a long moment Asuna leaned closer with an astonished look on her face and pulled at Ayaka’s collar.

“Hey, what’s this? Hickeys?” Ayaka’s eyes grew wide as Asuna grinned widely at her. “Don’t tell me some local guy caught the very selective eye of our old class rep!” The redhead nudged the horrified blonde in the arm. “So who is he, the guy that managed to get up close and personal with the Yukihiro Ayaka?”

And so an already broken heart... shattered.

poison_pen.... you're crazy XD

Yeah, well...

My roommate said the same thing before she kicked me out! >_<

Hahahahaha! :D

Regarding the newest Ryuchan fanfic:

MUST-NOT-BREAK-IN-TO-S-SONG---

"what do you get when you fall in love?
Absolutely nothing at all...
Na-nana-na Na-nana-na
Lalalalalalalala..."

Oh great! >_< Hahahaha :D sorry, couldn't help myself

I never thought AyakaxAsuna could be this cool!! They look way better together than with Negi! XD

And I never realized Ayaka and Chizuru could be so ecchi... Well, yeah, i knew they had potential...

But a visualization of their possible "activities" never hit me until you came along... ALL HAIL RYUCHAN!!! :w00t:

Ryuchan, you give me a reason to rush to the laptop everyday from school... For that, with sincere gratitude, I thank you.... [bows]
