here's how I put it either life is a chase or life is a vegetable garden the saddest thing is, for a selfish person, life is a joke if ya want, I could give something deeper than that(like maybe explaining it) |

alright let me first say, that all those of you who said the purpose of life was to have fun, have a very good point and it's true that living must have a meaning given by the one living it I just think they're intertwined. When you think of it, isn't the entire purpose of attaining a goal purely for attaining happiness? As humans, we have a driving mentality to make things better for ourselves, and in that, we give ourselves purpose. After all, if we suceed in attaining our goal, we make ourselves happy The sad thing is, our happiness can't be pin-pointed, and we're left with no true idea of what will bring us happiness It's like we're little specks all searching for a meaning in life in a large world, were doing so means finding it. In that, life is a chase What makes it all confusing is our own need to make things better no matter what(and this is governed by how we are molded) I think the best way to explain it is by the most simple means(for cartoon fans) how many people here like the loony toons(They're hilarious  ) even in all the mirth and tomfoolery in the series, it's still good for making you think take a look at Wile.E.Cayote notice how he's just one creature in a huge desert? For him, happiness is finding and catching road-runner. The sad thing is, he never can, Road-runner is simply too elusive and he never succeeds. In a sence, this is an idea of what attaining happiness is. For him, the place where road-runner is standing, eating seeds, is a place of happiness. If he was there, he could catch that crazy bird and finally have a good meal. But sadly, every time he gets close, road-runner is off again, and blazing down the road, and when he gets close to where the road-runner is next, he'll just be left in the duast again It's the same with us. In all these thousands of years we've been on this planet, we've done everything in our power to advance and make life better for ourselves, endlessly trying to attain a plataeu of advancement. Sadly, in all those thousands of years, here we are now and we've reached the pinicle of technological advancement and yet we're left wondering "Is this True happiness" even though we've got all the convinience in the world, we still haven't attained true happiness. Despite our technology, we're now loosing many of the better aspects of our selves(like arts and poetry), and the closer we get to this kind of happiness we've been trying to attain for so very long, we've been left wanting to get back to our more deep-minded type of thinking. In a way, life pulls a "Meep Meep" and we're back to chasing some other ideal for happiness That's one reason why I believe that people who dislike TV, Movies, Cars, and all that other popculture stuff, are often just trying to look cool. Just because it apears to kill the soul, doesn't mean it's depraved. If anything, there's something artistic about it. The fact is, all happiness is in some way, a form of indulgence(because happiness is a gift we abuse) and it will eventually kill the soul in the same way So yes. All happiness is valid in some way, and the truth is, all happiness will leave you feeling empty(even "Pure" kinds of happiness, like love, peace and friendship) Then there's Sylvester and Tweety it's a bit sad that Sylvester can never catch Tweety, because if he ever tries, he'll just get batted by granny's broom. Unfortunatly for him, the closer he gets to catching that bird, the more hurt he gets(and usually results in pain). If he were a good and obidient cat, he'd just sit still and stop trying to catch tweety, and from there, he'd have peace(albiet, an empty stomach only able to be filled with lousy cat-food, but peace nontheless) to say it outright, the higher you jump to reach the bird-cage, the harder you fall when you miss the bird cage(cuz it's a long drop, all the way from the ceiling) anyway, I'll continue this thought later(I'll continue more on the chase, to vegtable garden to joke later) |

Life is a gift. Wether you trash it or not is up to you. If you trash it, there is only one thing I can say to that. God don't give refunds. Evenkurugan |

You're absolutely right! trashing wouldn't be very great. you have just one life so live it! I, myself have to go to my mom's academy everyday for 3 hours and I get smart! I play, eat, go to my mom's academy, and sleep! This way others hate me. so the question about life is actually in my head,"IS THERE MORE TO LIFE?" P.S. The Ulimate Answer of "THE QUESTION"....... 42 |
