I'm not sure what you mean, because I've been reading the Bible my whole life. The entire Old Testament is before Jesus was born. There was no Messiah at that time. There was God and His Holy Spirit. But no Jesus. During that time, to be a saved Christian, you had to have the offering however often they did it, where they would take the best of their crops, and offer it as a sacrifice. The first four books of the New Testament is when Jesus was born and they are basically the telling of the same story from four different people. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. And onwards from there, Jesus is the one and only Messiah. I'm not tryin' to sound rude or nothin', but He is the only Messiah the Bible speaks of. If you've read otherwise, it's either a fake book, or you might be reading it wrong. |

now I wouldn't say that...more specifically, the wording. It's not a "Wrong religion". It's the lack of one at all(is it wrong to not believe? ) I wonder what becomes of most athiests...?(Later on in life) It would be nice to find out which religions have the greatest survival rate(might be a bad statistic to take though... just may convert a few too many...) For some reason, I feel like Athiests don't live very long...(Fine by me. I don't plan to live long) Anyway, if it's a religious disgussion now, let me just say that the religion that coincides with my philosophies the best of Buddhism(I'm just saying) As for other meanings, it's quite clear that humans can't live without pleasure, after tasting it for the last several thousand years(not many other creatures can feel pleasure on the level that we can. With higher parametres of happiness, we seek it more than any other creature) If you look at a dog, one of the only plesures it feels is eating a dog treat, so it would jump and beg for one at any cost. Basically, that's really the pinnacle of it's pleasure and it would do anything to reach it. Much like how our forms of happiness are so varying, we end up striving for more than nature intended(So really, it's our own fault that our expectations are so high) can anybody tell me some kind of goal in life that doesn't result in happiness?(I think they all do... ) |

True, I shouldn't have worded it like that. I'll change that, Atheism is technically a religion, they just believe what Charles Darwin wrote and said. And the things he says are the most false things ever. That's what I meant, that the whole "Big Bang Theory and the whole Evolution theory" and the fact that when you die, you're dead are very, VERY false. |

really? I think that way(on another thought, Charles Darwin, I think, was genius) The Big Bang works with my philosophies as well(I've got nothing to say about what happens after you do. That's not my question to ask) BTW, I tend to find that sins often have a merit of their own that's very difficult to see(I even sometimes call them "The Seven Deadly Saviors") |

Alright, I'm trying to be nice about this ok so just bare with me. Do you remember the stories of Noah, what did they do after the flood was over? They made a sacrifice of a lamb to God, thanking Him for saving them. Do you remember the stories of Elijah? He and the other army of non-believers each built an altar and put a sacrifice on them (lamb) and they each called out to their gods to burn them to show who was the real God. When the non-believer's called out to Baal, nothing happened. When Elijah called out to God, God sent fire down from Heaven and incinerated the altar and the sacrifice. When Jesus died on the cross, the curtain that blocked where the Ark of the Covenant sits was torn, thereby letting all of humanity be able to openly worship and pray to God. There are plenty of other stories in the Bible about someone making a sacrifice to show their thanks to God. But I'm not a very good speaker/teacher by any means, so you might be taking what I'm typing the wrong way or something, but I know what's true and I believe in the truth. I'm sorry if I seem like I'm being really rude, or just mocking you or anything, but I'm just trying to convince you that the Old Testament and the New Testament make up God's Holy Word and they're both VERY true. |

And, ironically, Charlie was in the seminary. And just ignore shiryu. In fact, ignore everyone with an IQ that's in the single-digit zone. |

Sorry, but your spelling does not make you seem like you are "informed." And Alucard: Just 'cause things "work with your philosophy," doesn't necessarily mean you should believe in them. ;) |

no I'm not offended. I agree with you. I simply think that philosophies, being mostly logical, are one of the best ways to make decisions(thing is, after all the philosophizing, I've reached this petty and self-justified realm of acceptance that makes me not care when I defy my own rules )actually, I tend to go my philosophies when they're convinient or when I want to prove a point(after all, big world knowledge is totally useless in the real world. They just give you a comprehension of "Why" stuff happens and to better accept it, effectively improving your life. Quite useful when it's convinient  ) |
