Off topic: Sorry if this seems like a rant, but I can't stand it when people use the word "j@p". Most people don't know that this is actually a racist slur rather than a short form. If you truly don't care about whether you offend others or not, pay no heed to this message. Thanks.

It leads back to those war times, i think it was in WWII, they referred to the Japanese enemies as "Japs" and henceforth became a derogotory term...

Of course, those times have past. "Jap" is more an abbreviation than anything else nowadays >_>

Doubt they would take offence, but hey, a Japanese person would tell you better ^_^

I heard that, too somewhere.. I just forget where. I'm not entirely sure if they take offence to it, either.. But i'd rather not take my chances :)

Plus I dont use that term, ever.. Which helps ;)

well kinda ya but desu is a proper or nice way to end a sentence in Japan or saying su for short. Kaede says de garzou *** (don't know how to spell) because thats what samaris *** say after there sentences how i know? I read the notes of the magna and wikipedia
