My hate doesn't stem from fear.

where DOES it stem from?

What about me?
I too don't hate things because of fear only....

it's possible you only think it doesn't...

On topic, it seems Hilary is planning to re-call the solders from Iraq. She wants them back by next year

Seems the WOMEN in suits do better... (but seriously, it's nice when a politician's descision suits peace. Of course, this is a very low-PR war...)

Women ARE more effective in leader positions than men... Men usually let the power go to their head while most women seem to remain level-headed and rational... But I think America will still keep small numbers of forces within Iraq as advisors and such... Plus the PMCs that are going to be hired afterwards...

true. They're likely to want to keep some of their influence alive over there (but hopefully, they'll at least treat the sitizens with dignity)

^ ya know, it you two revealed what it was that causes your hate, I might be able to route it to fear

While it's possible, it's also possible im right, and since there arn't really proofs for both, nothing could be certin. So im just gonna go with what I belived up until now...

fair enough. Lets' go with that

on the other thought, I also tend to find generally bad judgement on the government's side. For one, electing celebrities as governers certainly isn't a way to select our leaders. The fact that famous people without a proper education being eligible for presidency looks more akin to gross mis-management. Never mind President Bush being in active presidency from simple relation (that's called selective patronage)

America, the most powerful nation on earth, isn't run that well o_o|||

I think war is pointless.

Like Alucard said "the ultimate reason for wasr is fear".

George Bush's methods are too extreme.

Yeah...that's one thing I most certainly can agree with. We're still a superpower mostley due to the nukes we possess...and even those don't keep some ant country (Iran) from giving us the finger.
The fact is, war hasn't been fought correctly (by America anyway) since WWII. Even in Korea (When we had General Macarthur and other WWII generals/soldiers) we just fought the "defend the line" war. It's supposed to be about taking everything the enemy possesess until they can no longer fight.

I'll go into my opinion on the pointlessness of war (or lack therof) a bit later...I dont want to make a forever long post :).

know what I think? Some countries put national pride too soon before basic virtue(That's why Germany even started WWII - Hitler got them at just the right time)

I mean that some people are faster to launch attacks than try to negotiate(and for some, conflict isn't a last resort, which it probably should be)

1. we were attacked by ists from the Middle East (9/11 in case you're wondering). We had every right to blow the snot out of the folks who did so at that point.
2. America simply can't negotiate with most Muslim folks, especially those from the Middle East. The whole "America is the Great Satan" thing kinda kills any negotiations you know?
3. Iraq was friggin lucky we didn't just blow the whole place to smitherines, which we should have done. ists get very little support if people know that doing so could get ya a nice 200 pounder through the window. My main point, America has the most powerful military in the world and it aint just to parade around in circles.
4. America is a large country that needs oil. We find weak country A that has a lot of oil...hm....what should we do....

1.) We never confirmed that...We never confirmed Osama's threat to the U.S. at that point. Nor we're we sure they did attack. We just threw our troops over there.

2.) Religion plays no part in this issue. Other than the fact the insurgents aren't happy with the current religious group over there.

3.) Iraq wasn't the problem. Us going over there was the problem. We had no business over there. I don't even know why we invaded Iraq. 0.o

this war is basically a Vietnam remake. I give a 1 out of 5...poorly executed. =P

4.) We are not a militaristic nation seizing supplies just cause we want it. If we can't have it, we can try negotiating. War isn't the answer, it never is...unless there's no other option.

I think a good negotiation could quickly solve most conflicts. If not that, education could do as well

Bullets should be the last resort
