1. we were attacked by      ists from the Middle East (9/11 in case you're wondering). We had every right to blow the snot out of the folks who did so at that point.
2. America simply can't negotiate with most Muslim folks, especially those from the Middle East. The whole "America is the Great Satan" thing kinda kills any negotiations you know?
3. Iraq was friggin lucky we didn't just blow the whole place to smitherines, which we should have done.      ists get very little support if people know that doing so could get ya a nice 200 pounder through the window. My main point, America has the most powerful military in the world and it aint just to parade around in circles.
4. America is a large country that needs oil. We find weak country A that has a lot of oil...hm....what should we do....

1.) We never confirmed that...We never confirmed Osama's threat to the U.S. at that point. Nor we're we sure they did attack. We just threw our troops over there.

2.) Religion plays no part in this issue. Other than the fact the insurgents aren't happy with the current religious group over there.

3.) Iraq wasn't the problem. Us going over there was the problem. We had no business over there. I don't even know why we invaded Iraq. 0.o

this war is basically a Vietnam remake. I give a 1 out of 5...poorly executed. =P

4.) We are not a militaristic nation seizing supplies just cause we want it. If we can't have it, we can try negotiating. War isn't the answer, it never is...unless there's no other option.

1. Unless I find proof elsewhere, I agree with this point.
2. This is incorrect in the extreme. Many Muslims in the Middle East (especially extremests) look on the West in general as...well...evil. Thus the foolishness of setting up a Western-style democracy in a Muslim ted area.
3. A dictator opressing his people, for one. Two, methinks the President and possibly Congress used Iraq/Afghanistan as a scapegoat for the 9/11 attacks. 100% agree with the comparison to Vietnam. America being the world's policeman yet again...
4. That works on paper, but in reality that is like following rules that no one else needs to follow.
