Okay people, I vaguely recall someone mentioning that I should come up with another Whole Forum Involvement Activity and that I have.

Called Survivor, this is a quiz based challenge with long and short term stratergy to consider.

Member who wish to particpate may do so by posting here.

How it works:

People who wish to participate are split into teams (ideally 6-10 members per team but I can lower it depending on how many people want to play). Each week I'll post a series of questions (say 10) about absolutly anything, Anime, Politics, Food, Fine Wines (err... maybe not Fine Wines...) Myths, Ledgends, Reality shows... You get the picture. All participants then PM/e-mail (again, depends on how many participate) me their answers. I'll then mark up the answers and then list who scored how many. For the record, if a participant fails to submit any answers, I'll give them a big fat 0 which will greatly affect thier team score. Now this is where team play comes into it.

If your team has the highest average, good for you. But, if your team has the lowest average, the members of that team have to vote on which member they want to dump off thier team. That's also where the tactics come into play.

Now the obvious thing to do would be to vote off the dumbest member, which will increase your team Average score. But, later on when we're down to the last few players (I'll explain how we get to that point later on) if all your remaing oppoents (who may or may not be from your initail team) have been scoring higher than you, the chances are, you'll end up losing.

As time progresses, the number of participants will drop, normally 1 per week but if the lowest average score is shared by 2 team then both lose a member.

Now for those who are quick on the mark, you'll realise that once a team is down to 2 members, you can't vote anymore people off (since each will have to vote for the other). Because of this, the remaining 2 member of that team gain immunity and don't have to submit answers (I'd advise you to keep submiting answers anyway) Once several teams are down to 2 members, or every team is down to 1/2 strength (or something like that, again, it depends on the number of participants), I'll mix and match teams together, trying to keep members from one team together.

Then it's essentially the same again, but for this second round I'll be posting more questions.

The above proccess keeps repeating untill we get down to say, 10 people. In theory, a really dumb player could still be in the game, depending on how s/he made alliances earlier on in the game (more on that later).

Then the game becomes independant. By this time, I'll be posting between 2 and 5 times the number of questions in the first round, depending on how many rounds we've had. Instead of a team going for avoiding last place, player must now attempt to reach first place, because the 1st place person recives immunity.

After posting the results, the remaing players then "independantly" vote for another member to be kicked. The only player who can't be voted for, is the player with immunity. At this point in the game, I'd suggest voting for the people who have been scoring high throught out the game, of course, if a player has been playing the game really well, then that player could of been diliberatly giving wrong answers to lower his score, only to score really high when it's down to the final 3 or something.

Okay, when it's down to the final 2. The questions stop. So how do we chose a winner? I'll explain that in a bit, but first I'd like to explain about alliances.

Now this is in essence, an All vs All game, even if your in team to begin with. A player who is really smart and get 100% every week could be unexpectedly voted of a team. Why? Well, if that player has been going by himself and forged alliances, then he has no friends. And it's obvious that friends stick together. Figure it out.

But of course, even if you are in an alliance, that doesn't stop you from voting for someone who is also in your alliance does it?

And whilst we're at it, what's to stop you forming alliances with members of other teams?

One thing I do suggest though, is that you don't tell people, even me, who your allies are. But if you do end up talking about alliances, you may discover that someone in your team has an alliance with EVERYONE in your team. Which is just being sneaky,so why not vote him off?

Now for deciding the winner. Throughout the competition, I'll keep notes of who voted for who, and when. When we get down to the final 2. I'll reveal all these votes. And it is only then that you discover that one of the finalists, who was also your ally at the tim,e voted for you at a crucial stage. Now why would you let someone like that win?

All the participant who have been knocked out get to decide who the winner is by way of vote at the end. Simple really.

So, everyone get that?

In the event of lot's of members signing up, I'm considering of creating an InvisionFree forum to host the whole tournament. If I end up doing that, I'll create an individual forum for each team. But to add excitment, when a player is out of the tournament, I'll let that player have access to all the forums, so he can read what all the other teams were discussing. Makes it a bit more intresting that way, don't you think? For the record, he will no longer be able to post in any of these forums, but will be able to ost in the forum for people who got kicked out.

To win this game, not only have you got to be smart, you've also got to be able to lie and cheat, and even occasionaly be honest and tell the truth.

One final note, sharing answers isn't banned, but can you trust the person giving them to you?

So, who's in?

Also, if I end up making a forum, I'd like to request 1, possibly 2, assitant(s) to help me manage. These assistant WIL NOT be able to participate.
