With healthcare technologies nowadays, and artificial means to fight infections and parasites, we have effectively destroyed natural selection. Without natural selection, evolution will not occur. There will not be enough favorable traits within the human genome to fight off a massive pandemic caused by an unknown pathogen. Thus the human race will end. |

Here we have a datastream of human beings, the dominant species that inhabited this planet in the Ancient Era. As you can see, their runics create a 'post' where they discuss the end of their species and perhaps their geological scale. Although the human language is not fully translated, it is possible that they foresaw the disaster and that some survive to this very day. However, there is no proof that humans exist in their large-scale communities anymore. If they managed to survive up to the Modern Ages, they are lone wanderers in the Deep - possibly evolved from their forms from that time. |
