Bug Module : Study by Stars Functionality: This offers words to be marked with "stars" either 1,2 or 3; which is called as "star rating". Bug Description : 1.If some words(say 5) are marked with "star rating" of say 1(while randomly studying words) and if this option is selected(afterwards), then it shows words under all "star ratings" though words are not marked with 2 or 3 stars. 2. For every entry in this function(or option) without exiting the application, number of words under star ratings increases by one per entry, though actual number is less. 3. There is some problem with browsing previous and next words(probebaly a problem with linked list) Edited by omkars, Aug 28 2008, 02:10 PM.

Appearance Issue: Right now Quick Word uses same background screen as set for mobile phone (As in theme). This reduces readability though settings are changed. A white screen with black color of words is observed to be readable combination in case of many other mobile software applications. Secondly it is has structure as follows... Word<Some Word> Meaning<Relevant Meaning> But in above structure it becomes very hard to distinguish <study word> from the word "Word" as no space is left between the two. Same is the case with meaning. Edited by omkars, Aug 28 2008, 02:26 PM.

Hi Omkar, Bug Description : 1.If some words(say 5) are marked with "star rating" of say 1(while randomly studying words) and if this option is selected(afterwards), then it shows words under all "star ratings" though words are not marked with 2 or 3 stars. 2. For every entry in this function(or option) without exiting the application, number of words under star ratings increases by one per entry, though actual number is less. >> We realize that this is happening on some phones. It is being actively worked on. 3. There is some problem with browsing previous and next words(probebaly a problem with linked list) >> The Previous and Next buttons display the alphabetically previous and next words, and not the ones in "history" |

Regarding Appearance Issues: QuickWord has been designed to allow users to continue to enjoy their respective themes even while using the app. In most themes the text is legible and formatted well. The issue of spacing will be taken care of. |

One more suggestion: 1. Can we include "etymology" in meanings of words wherever possible? 2. Can we have hyperlink for hard words(or GRE words) used to explain a meaning of a particular word? |

There is some problem with "STAR" option.. Say wen u set the star to a word.. ( eg: attitude say put 1 star) .. next time u see the word the star mark is there.. but wen u try to access it from the MENU -> STUDY BY STAR ... it only shows 2 or 3 words.. !!?????... And wen u exit the software n start it once again... REVISE words does not work only... !!.. Only current session words can be reviewed ???? ...?? |

Dear N P Bendre, The Revise Words feature stores the words viewed in a particular session. This history gets refreshed each time you restart QuickWord. Regards, Team QuickWord |
