Is ax^3+bx^4=a+b?
(1) ax^3=a
(2) bx^4=b

A. Statement (1) ALONE is sufficient but Statement (2) ALONE is not sufficient.
B. Statement (2) ALONE is sufficient but Statement (1) ALONE is not sufficient.
C. BOTH Statements TOGETHER are sufficient, but NEITHER Statement alone is sufficient.
D. Each Statement ALONE is sufficient.
E. Statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are NOT sufficient.

My ans is also A
if only ax^3=a,then it means that x=1,which satisfies the given eqn.
But if only bx^4=b is given, then x=+1 or x=-1. If x=-1, eqn is not satisfied as we'll get a=-a

The answer has to be C to prove that ax^3+bx^4 = something

What ix a or x happen to be fraction......... so need to make sure individual values are a and b cannot rely on X
