Posts: 631 Group: DRtv Writer Member #249 Joined: December 14, 2008	Gary is 44 years old. In college he got his high school sweetheart pregnant. Gary thought that the honorable thing to do. He had a daughter Leigh. His marriage lasted for five years. Marriage life wasn’t for Gary. He cheated on his wife numerous times during their five-year marriage. His wife knew about it and when she had enough she kicked him out. Gary will not win any father of the year award. He last saw Leigh when she was only five. Occasionally he sent a birthday and Christmas card. He doesn’t have a close relationship with his daughter. Gary is a writer and wrote some award winning novels. He is one of the best-known authors in the world. Gary just purchased Melrose Place. There is also a surprise waiting for Gary when his estrange daughter shows up on his doorstep. Leigh is 23. Leigh is impulsive and will do things without thinking what the consequences may be. Leigh has no clue about what to do with her life. She hasn’t seen her father for 18 years. Leigh is living with her mother and stepfather in a small. She decides one day that there is no future for her there. She wants some excitement. She looks her father up and decides to go look for him in LA. Their relationship is awkward and don’t really now how to bond. Leigh starts to work at Starz as a waitress. Leigh starts to feel attracted to James. Gary doesn’t like the idea of Leigh and James and wants better for her. Due to Gary being persistent Leigh decides to take some part time classes. She also starts to have some feelings for her professor Lucas. Carrie is 25. She has made it big for herself. She is an executive for a large company called Mittal Corp. Carrie is work oriented. She has no time for a personal life, as work is her life. She moves from San Francisco to the LA branch. She just got a promotion and that is why she had to move to LA. The chairman, Mr. Wells is so impressed with Carrie’s work that he puts her in the run for new CEO of Mittal Corp. There is one problem Mr. Wells’s son Tony is also in the run for the position. Things get complicated when there is an attraction between Carrie and Tony. They both want the same position but at the same time it means someone will be getting hurt. Erica is 24 and a model. She is the new face of L’Oreal. Erica can be manipulative when needed to be and she knows how to use her assets to get what she wants. Erica likes older men because she likes more mature men. No wonder she has an attraction to Gary. Erica and Leigh can’t stand each other. Erica will do whatever she has to get Leigh out of the way. Erica also has a dark secret and if it comes out it could ruin her career. James is 29. He is hired by Gary to do maintenance work around Melrose Place. James lives in his van in a trailer park. James falls for Leigh but Gary doesn’t approve. James will do anything to show Gary that he deserves to be with Leigh. James’s schemes to make money backfires all the time. James is actually a good guy and will help where he can. Erica uses James to get Leigh out of the way. Kay is 25. Kay studied to be a doctor. She is doing her residency at the LA . Kay and new husband Rick just returned from their honeymoon. She is a good doctor and takes her work serious. The question is will the newlyweds be able to cope with their working schedules. Kay gets too involved with her patients. Although work is important to Kay she desperately wants a baby. Rick is 30 years old. He is working for the L.A.P.D. He just married the love of his life Kay. Rick is a person who will do the right thing. He doesn’t believe in playing dirty and will do everything by the book. Rick will learn that it is not always the case. How will Rick react when a ghost from the past comes back to haunt him and it could ruin his marriage to Kay. Edited by JacquesP, Sat Nov 14, 2009 9:12 am.

TheHeadwriter Posts: 29 Group: DRtv Writer Member #443 Joined: September 18, 2009	Is this still active. I love 90's MP. A little disappointed there is no one from the original back. But a small cast will make it easy for me to get into these characters and stories

Posts: 631 Group: DRtv Writer Member #249 Joined: December 14, 2008	Yes, it's still active. There are still two more characters I have to introduce. The will be introduced this coming Saturday. I did write a season with the old cast but after the season ended I have decided to start a brand new MP with an entire new cast. It will start in November.
